Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB LED Rod Light
Before the First Use
Please read the operating instructions and the safety instructions carefully
before using the device for the first time.
Keep the operating instructions together with the device for future use. If
you pass on the device to a third party, this manual is part of the device and
must be supplied with the device.
Intended Use
This unit is designed for use as photo and video lighting only. It must not be used for other purposes and in particular not for domestic room lighting.
Explanation of Symbols
The following symbols are used in this manual, on the Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB, the power supply unit or on the packaging.
Products marked with this symbol comply with all relevant commu-nity
regulations of the European Economic Area.
Products marked with this symbol are operated with direct current.
Safety Instructions
- Only connect the product if the mains voltage of the USB input or USB power supply corresponds to the information on the type plate on the back of the product.
- Do not use the product if it is visibly damaged or if the USB-C cable is defective.
- Use only the USB-C cable supplied.
- If the product or accessories are damaged, they must be replaced or repaired by the manufacturer, its customer service or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
- The housing must not be opened and repairs may only be carried out by a specialist. To do this, contact a specialist workshop. In the event of repairs by the user, improper connection or incorrect operation, all liability and warranty claims are excluded.
- Do not insert any objects into the product.
- Do not leave the product unattended during operation.
- Protect the product from moisture. Do not touch it with wet /damp hands or submerge it in water
- This product is not waterproof! Do not use this product in the rain or in wet areas.
- Do not open, damage, short circuit, bypass, or use the battery for any other purpose.
- Keep the battery away from children or animals, open flames and liquids and do not expose it to temperatures higher than 50° C. In addition, observe the information on caring for the battery in these operating instructions.
- Do not use or store the device at high temperatures or in closed rooms with direct sunlight and do not charge the battery during this time. The product should no longer be used at ambient temperatures of more than 40° C.
- Do not use the device in the vicinity of flammable gases or liquids, as this can lead to explosions.
- Do not point the product at drivers of cars, buses, bicycles, motorcyclists, or train drivers while driving. The driver can be blinded and cause an accident. This also applies to persons or groups not listed if an accident could be caused by possible glare.
- Do not point the product directly into the eyes of people or animals, as this can damage the retina, impair vision and even lead to blindness.
- The device is not a toy. Keep the device, accessories and packaging materials away from children and pets to prevent accidents and suffocation.
- Provide adequate ventilation during operation. Never cover the device.
- If you sell the product to someone else, give up also pass these operating instructions on to this person.
Note: For lighting for photographic purposes only. Not suitable for permanent room lighting.
Precautions
- Fully charge the battery, then disconnect the USB-C cable.
- If the product has not been used for a long period of time, charge the battery before using it again.
- To extend the battery life, you should charge the battery at least every three months.
- This product has a built-in, rechargeable battery that has a specific run time. If this has been used for a certain period of time, the performance of the battery will be reduced. This is normal.
- If the device is used in too cold or too hot ambient temperatures, the device switches off automatically.
- Please have the product checked by an authorized service center if a problem occurs. You are not permitted to dismantle the product if it malfunctions. Otherwise your guarantee will be void.

Operation
Power On and Mode Button [3]
– With the power button and mode button
[3] you can switch the Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB on or off with a long press.
With a short press, you can change modes (CCT/color temperature mode, RGB mode
or effects mode).
CCT Mode / Color Temperature Mode
- Battery charge level

- Brightness
- In CCT mode, press the select button [4[ to switch between the color temperature and brightness settings. The values can be adjusted via the adjustment buttons [5]. Press + to increase the value, press – to decrease it.
- The color temperature can be adjusted between 2,500 and 9,000 K. A short press on the adjustment button (5) adjusts the color temperature in 10 K steps, a long press adjusts it in 100 K steps.
- The brightness can be adjusted between 0 and 100% in 1% steps.
RGB Mode

- In RGB mode, press the select button [4] to switch between the RGB color value, saturation and brightness settings. The values can be adjusted via the adjustment buttons [5]. Pressing + increases the value, pressing – decreases it.
- The RGB color values can be adjusted between 0 and 360° in 1° steps.
- The saturation can be adjusted between 0 and 100% in 1% steps.
- The brightness can be adjusted between 0 and 100% in 1% steps.

- In effects mode, press the select button [4] to switch between the settings of the 20 effects and the brightness. The values can be adjusted via the adjustment buttons [5]. With + the value is increased, with – it is decreased or the effect is changed.
- The brightness can be adjusted between 0 and 100% in 1% steps.

Connecting Several Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB Together
Several Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB can be plugged together. Do not connect more than 3 Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB units to ensure stability and safety during use.
Unscrew the protective cap on the end with the ¼“ thread of the Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB. A clockwise rotation of 30° is sufficient.
Connecting Several Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB Together
Now place another LUMIS I-Light RGB with the end without the 1/4“ thread on the first Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB so that the recesses match. Turn one of the Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB counterclockwise by 30° so that it clicks into place.
The two LUMIS I-Light RGB are now connec-ted to each other.
Disconnecting Several Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB
- Slide the locking knob [1] in the indicated direction.
- Turn one of the Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB clockwise and pull the Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB apart.
Disconnecting Several Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB
Replace the protective cap on the Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB and turn it counterclock-wise by 30°.
Charging
During charging, the battery indicator in the display flashes. The battery is
fully charged when all four lights of the battery indicator light up. When
fully charged, an ”OK“ is shown next to the battery symbol in the display
while the USB-C cable is plugged in.
The Rollei LUMIS I-Light can be charged while being used.
Notes:
- When charging the Rollei LUMIS I-Light RGB, please use USB adapters with an output of DC 5 V 2 A. The Rollei LUMIS I- Light RGB supports charging via Quick Charger and USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) up to the above voltage.
- Please only use the supplied USB-C cable for charging the device. Otherwise, there is a risk of fire or electric shock.

Battery Warnings
- Do not disassemble, hit or puncture the battery, be careful not to short-circuit the battery. Do not expose the battery to places with high temperatures.
- Do not continue to use the battery if it leaks or expands.
- Always charge through the system. If the battery is replaced with the wrong type, there is a risk of explosion.
- Keep the battery away from children and animals.
- Batteries can explode if exposed to an open fire. Never throw batteries into a fire.
- Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.
- Before disposing of the appliance, remove the battery and dispose of it separately.
