Rollei LUMIS Schmale RGB Leuchte Slim LED Light

Before The First Use

Please read the operating instructions and the safety instructions carefully before using the device for the first time. Keep the operating instructions together with the device for future use. If you pass on the device to a third party, this manual is part of the device and must be supplied with the device.

Explanation Of Symbols

The following symbols are used in this manual, on the flash, the power supply unit or on the packaging.

Products marked with this symbol comply with all relevant community regulations of the European Economic Area.

Products marked with this symbol are operated with direct current.

Safety Instructions

1. Protect the product from moisture. Do not touch it with wet/damp hands and do not immerse it under water.

2. This product is not waterproof! Do not use this product in the rain or in wet environments.

3. Danger of explosion! Do not use this product near flammable gases or liquids.

4. Do not use or store the device in high temperatures or in closed rooms with direct sunlight and do not charge the battery while doing so. The product should not be used in ambient temperatures above 40 °C.

5. If the device has been damaged so that internal parts are exposed, then the device should not be used any more.

6. Do not film car, bus, bicycle, motorcycle or train drivers while driving with this product. The driver may be blinded and cause an accident.
   This also applies to unlisted persons or groups of persons when a possible blinding could cause an accident.

7. Do not shine directly into the eyes of persons or animals as this may cause retinal damage, visual impairment and even blindness.

8. Keep the device away from children.

9. If you sell the LED light to another person, please pass on this manual to that person as well.

Note : Only for lighting for photographic purposes. Not suitable for permanent room lighting.

Precautions

1. After charging is completed, unplug the USB cable.
2. If you have not used the product for a long time, charge the battery before using it again.
3. In order to prolong the battery lifetime, it is recommended to charge and maintain the product every three months.
4. This product has a built-in rechargeable battery which has a certain lifetime. After using it for a certain period of time, the performance may be reduced but this is normal.
5. If the device will be used in a too cold or too hot environment it will automatically shut down to protect itself.

Recharge

Note:

• Do not use quick chargers and/or super chargers to charge the Rollei Slim LED RGB L. Super Chargers may be used to charge the Rollei Slim LED RGB L, but only mains adapters with a maximum of 5 V / 3 A.
• Please only use the supplied USB cable for charging the device. Otherwise there is a risk of fire or electric shock.

Operation

• Slide the rocker switch to the left to increase the value or to the right to decrease it (Select).
• To switch the LED video light on/off, slide the on/off button to the left or right.
• Press the mode button to switch between CCT, RGB/HSL and effect mode. The display shows in the upper right corner which mode you are in.

CCT mode

A Selected mode: CCT
B Remaining battery life (battery indicator)
C CCT colour temperature: Adjustable from 2,500K to 9,900K
D Brightness: Adjustable from 1% to 100%.

In colour temperature mode, you can use the rocker switch (4) to set the colour temperature from 2,500K – 9,900K. You can adjust the brightness from 1 – 100% via the setting wheel (5).

RGB mode

A Selected mode: RGB / HSI
B Hue/colour tone Use the Hue graphic to set the desired colour value by pressing the rocker switch (4), the arrow is now at ”H“. Move the rocker switch (4) to the left or right to set the desired colour value (0 – 360).
C Saturation
Adjust the desired saturation by pressing the rocker switch (4). The arrow is now at ”S“. Move the rocker switch (4) to the right or left to set the desired saturation (0 – 100%).
D Brightness
Adjust the brightness (1 – 100%) using the setting wheel (5).

Effect mode

Press the mode switch again to enter the effect mode.

A Selected mode: Effect
B Effect category display
C Brightness: Adjustable from 1% to 100%.

Select effect:

Press the rocker switch (4) to switch between the effect categories (A – G).
Then move the rocker switch (4) to the left to change the different versions of the effect (1 – 3 each).

You can choose between the following effects:

• A-1: Flash
• A-2: Flash Fast
• A-3: TV-Screen
• B-1: Candle
• B-2: Flame 1
• B-3: Flame 2
• C-1: Police
• C-2: Ambulance
• C-3: Fire truck
• D-1: Strobe Lights 1
• D-2: Strobe Lights 2
• D-3: Strobe Lights 3
• E-1: Chase slow
• E-2: Chase mid
• E-3: Chase fast
• F-1: Fire work 1
• F-2: Fire work 2
• F-3: Fire work 3
• G-1: Club 1
• G-2: Club 2
• G-3: Romantic

Installation Of The Ballhead

Screw the 1/4“ screw thread of the ballhead into one of the 1/4“ screw thread inputs of the LED light. Then use the 1/4“ screw thread to screw the ballhead onto a tripod or on the cold shoe to fix it to a hot shoe.
Note : Please make sure that the tripod is secured with weights to avoid the LED tipping over when tilted too much.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging according to its type. Use the local possibilities for collecting paper, cardboard and other materials. (Applicable in the European Union and other European countries with systems for the separate collection of recyclable materials).

Devices that are marked with this symbol must not be disposed of with household waste! You are legally obliged to dispose of old devices separately from to dispose of household waste. Information on collection points that accept old appliances free of charge can be obtained from your local authority or town council.

Battery Warning

• Never dismantle, crush or pierce the battery, or allow the battery to short-circuit. Do not expose battery being placed in high temperature environment, if battery leaks or bulges, stop continue to use.
• Keep the battery out of reach of children.
• Batteries may explode if exposed to naked fire. Never dispose of batteries in a fire.
• Disposed of used batteries observing local regulations.
• Before disposing the device, please remove the battery.
