Before the first Use

Thank you for choosing this Rollei product. Before using it for the first time and for optimal use of the quick release system, read the instruction manual and safety instructions carefully. The quick release plate can be used with most camera mounts and camera heads. Keep the operating instructions with the unit for future use. If other people use this unit, make these instructions available to them. If you pass the unit on to a third party, this manual is part of the unit and must be supplied with it.

Safety Instructions

1. Rough use is not advised.
2. Make sure that the quick mounting plate is firmly mounted before use.
3. Use the product only in a temperature range between -40 °C and +70 °C.
4. Use for extended periods in full sun is not recommended.
5. Operate the product carefully in difficult terrain.
6. Lifting and moving the tripod with quick mounting plate is not recommended.
7. Do not pour liquids into the quick mounting plate.

Operation and Functions

Mounting and troubleshooting the quick-release system
First mount the quick-release system on a tripod. To do this, turn it clockwise onto the 3/8 inch screw on the tripod.
To release the quick-release plate, turn the release handle [6] anticlockwise until you hear a click. The plate has then come loose and can be removed.
Note: When removing the quick-release plate, make sure you have secured your camera to avoid damage.

When installing the quick-change base, make sure that it is in the locked position and tighten the two fastening screws [8] on the base with a 2.5 mm hexagonal spanner. For this, the plate must be removed from the base. When removing the quick-change base, first loosen the fastening screws [8] and then unscrew the base by hand.
Using the quick release system

Attach a camera or a tripod head onto the quick release system.

Gently insert the quick release base plate [3] into the quick release base and press it down until a clicking sound indicates that it is now locked in position.

Versatile, time saving connectivity-quickly and easily switch your camera to a variety of camera support equipment.

This accessory allows you to mount the system on several devices and to mount your camera or tripod head system on the different devices quickly and easily.

Maintenance

• ­If there is sand or grit inside the quick mounting plate, please clean using a small brush or a clean cloth.
• After use in rain, snow or other wet conditions, clean with a damp cloth.Allow all moisture to evaporate prior to packing away.
• ­Handle all parts with care and avoid external pressure during storage. ­
• Note that the camera tripod are not included in the package and are used for illustrative purposes only. ­
