DESCRIPTION

INTENDED USE

The product is a hotmelt glue gun intended for gluing wood, plastic, foam plastic, textile, tiles and ceramic, etc. The glue can also be used to seal holes and seal joints.
The product is only intended for household use.

HOW TO USE

BEFORE US

  1. Avoid skin contact. Avoid all contact with water and liquid and substances containing solvent. Only use glue sticks of the available standard type.
  2. Fasten the wire bridge on the product. Insert a glue stick through the opening (1) and push in all the way.
  3. Connect the power cord the charging station first and then to a power point. Put the glue gun in the charging station so that the connector on the handle is correctly connected to the connector on the charging station. The power status light in the handle goes on.
  4. Allow the glue gun to warm up for about 5 minutes. Remove it from the charging station afterwards by pushing it forwards. (Never try to push it up!)
  5. If the work can be carried out more or less stationary the glue gun can be used with the power cord plugged into a power point.
  6. Plug the plug on the glue gun into a power point and allow it to warm up for about 5 minutes. Stand the glue gun on its support bridge during short pauses in the work.
    • Replace the glue gun in the charging station for a new charge as soon as the glue begins to become viscous and difficult to feed out.
    • During pauses in the work and after finishing the work, pull out the plug and put the glue gun in the charging station to cool.
    • During long pauses in the work and after finishing the work, pull out the plug and allow the gun to cool upright on its support bridge.

GLUING

  • Carefully press the trigger and apply glue to the surfaces of the joint. Join parts within 15 to 20 seconds after applying the glue. Insert new glue sticks when necessary. The glue congeals after about 30 seconds and reaches 90% of its full strength after 1 minute.
  • If the glue is applied thicker it takes longer to congeal, and shorter to congeal if applied thinly. Large surfaces should not be glued in one go, but should if possible be divided up into smaller sections.
  • Apply the glue in wavy strings. Preheating of the joint surfaces with a hot air gun increases the bonding strength of the glue.
  • Allow surplus glue and residue to completely cool before removing.
  • Hotmelt glue joints can be separated or corrected by reheating with a hot air gun.
  • The supplied long sleeve is intended for gluing joints difficult to reach, and for filling cavities and plugholes etc. The nozzle can only be changed when the glue gun is cold.
  • Test temperature sensitive material first, by for example gluing samples.

NOTE:
The product has a built-in magazine to store heat, which enables it to be used cordless for short periods. The magazine is charged in the supplied charging station, which also functions as a parking stand for the product during pauses in the work.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Pull out the plug before cleaning and maintenance.

  • Clean the product casing with a damp cloth and wipe dry. Do not use abrasive or solvent-based detergents.
  • Apart from cleaning, the product is practically maintenance-free. Never clean the product by dipping it in water or any other liquid. See also the instructions.
