INSTALLATION STEPS
- STEP 1:
- a. Thread the Lock Screws, the Square Ring, the arm and the Fixture as shown. Hand tighten until snug.
- STEP 2:
- a. Secure the crossbar to the outlet box (not included) with outlet box screws.
- b. Tighten until snug.
- Note: The preassembled mounting nipple on the crossbar should protrude outward.
- STEP 3:
- a. Remove lock ball and hex nut from crossbar assembly.
- b. Fit ceiling canopy over the nipple on crossbar assembly and secure with lock ball.
- Note: The ceiling canopy should be snug against the ceiling and the lock ball.
- If not, adjust the length of the nipple on the crossbar assembly by unscrewing the preassembled hex nut.
- Then, screw the nipple in or out of the crossbar until the desired length is achieved.
- Once the ceiling canopy is secure, remove the lock ball and ceiling canopy and proceed to Step 3.
- STEP 3:
- a. Choose the desired hanging length for the light fixture.
- b. Assemble the necessary rods using the 6 inch rod(s) and/or 12 inch rod(s). An extra Fixture Chain might be required for a higher ceiling.
- c. Pass supply wires and ground wires through the rod assembly.
- d. Attach the rod assembly, the fixture loop, the quick link to the fixture. Hand-tighten until snug.
- Hint:
- Assemble one rod at a time.
- Pass the ground wire through the rod first.
- Then, pass the supply wire through the rod.
- Thread the rod by hand until snug.
- Thread the fixture loop to the uppermost rod.
- Connect one end of the Fixture Chain to the loop preassembled to the ceiling canopy with one quick link.
- Connect the other end of the fixture chain to the fixture loop with the remaining Quick Link.
- STEP 5:
- a. Confirm that the mounting height is acceptable. Refer to STEP 4 if changes are required.
- Note: To make the next step easier, cut the supply wire and ground wire 24 inches longer than the distance from the fixture loop to the ceiling. Important: Please pay attention to the polarity (wires labels L & N) when cutting wires. Wire identification will be needed in STEP 7.
- b. Pull the Supply Wires and Ground Wire up through the Fixture Chain alternating links.
- c. Push the ends of the supply wires and ground wire up through the canopy loop and into the outlet box. The remaining slack wire will be pushed into the box in STEP 6.
- STEP 6:
- a. The lanyard is provided as a means to support the fixture from the junction box while connecting the electrical wires. This enables the fixture to hang from the junction box and your hands are free to make the wire connections.
- b. Turn the button stop so it may be inserted into the crossbar slot. Make sure the button stop is completely inside the crossbar.
- c. Slowly release the fixture to make sure it is supported by the button stop.
- d. Proceed to Step 7. Once wiring is complete, the lanyard will push into the junction box when the Ceiling Canopy is Attached to the ceiling.
- STEP 7: Use Wire Connectors (supplied) to connect the wires.
- a) Ground Wire:
- Wrap supply ground wire around the green ground screw on the mounting bracket, no less than 2 in. from the end of the wire. Tighten the ground screw.
- Connect fixture ground wire to supply ground wire with a wire connector.
- b) Supply Wire:
- Connect the supply white wire to the fixture supply wire (ribbed-sided) from the fixture identified with the label “N”.
- Connect the supplied black (or red) wire to the fixture supply wire (smooth side) from the fixture identified with the label “L”
- Wrap each connection with approved electrical tape and carefully stuff all of the connected wires into the outlet box.
- STEP 8:
- A. Re-attach the ceiling canopy to the crossbar assembly.
- b. Secure with the previously removed hex nut.
- c. Then, attach the lock ball over the ceiling canopy.
- STEP 9: This fixture was designed to be used with or without glass
- Option 1: With Glass,
- a. Remove the socket collar from the socket on the fixture assembly.
- b. Then place the shade over the socket on the fixture assembly as shown.
- c. Secure by threading the socket collar onto the socket.
- d. Hand-tighten until snug.
- Option 2: Without Glass,
- a. Ensure that the socket collar is secure by threading the socket collar onto the socket.
- b. Hand-tighten until snug.
- STEP 10:
