NOTE

Ensure vehicle is on level ground.
Chock front wheels to avoid vehicle rolling.

BEFORE FITTING

  • Read instructions fully before commencing fitment.
  • Estimated Fitting Time: ½ hr.
  • Left-hand and right-hand components.
  • Left-hand and right-hand components are determined as seated in the vehicle.

INSTALLATION

  1. Ensure handbrake is engaged and rear wheels are chocked.

  2. Remove both radiator support brackets.

  3. Remove the OE sway bar D-brackets and retain the OE brackets See figure 1.

    Please take note of the arrow on the bracket.

  4. Radiator support bracket as shown See figure 2.

  5. Fit the Blackhawk 4×4 sway bar relocation bracket using the M10 countersunk bolts to the OE sway bar location.
    See figure 3.

    Use Loctite on all bolt threads. Tighten bolts to OE torque settings.

  6. Fit the retained OE swaybar bracket using the M10 hex head bolts and washers to the Blackhawk 4×4 bracket.

  7. Fit the Blackhawk spacer kit to the radiator support brackets using one spacer to each bolt. The spacers sit between the chassis cross member and the support brackets where applicable. Refit the support brackets with the new bolts and washers supplied.
    Spacers not required for all models.
    See figure 4. Use Loctite on all bolt threads. Tighten bolts to OE torque settings.

  8. Check the sway bar doesn’t foul on any component throughout the suspension travel.
    See figure 5.
