Product Usage Instructions

Introduction
The Mortise lock with Authorized Egress (AE) Monitoring is designed to monitor the use of the INSIDE trim when the OUTSIDE trim is locked.

Installation

  1. Identify the yellow, red, and gray wires according to the wiring diagram provided.
  2. Connect the yellow wire to the common terminal, the red wire to the normally open terminal, and the gray wire to the normally closed terminal.
  3. Ensure proper voltage requirements are met (125 VAC, 30 VDC).

Operation
When the OUTSIDE trim is locked, the AE switch will monitor the use of the INSIDE trim. Any activity on the INSIDE trim will be detected by the switch.

Maintenance
Regularly check the wiring connections and ensure they are secure. Clean the switch contacts if needed to maintain proper functioning.
