Mortise lock with Security Monitoring (SM).
SM – SECURITY MONITORING
A combination of AM and LB, the SM switches monitor the locked/unlocked status
and the status of the auxiliary latch. Lockset must be locked with the main
latch extended and the auxiliary latch depressed to get a secure signal. If
any of the conditions are not met, the lockset goes into an unsecured mode.

Security Monitoring (SM)
The SM feature of the mortise lock switches monitors the locked/unlocked status and the auxiliary latch status. To ensure a secure signal, the lockset must be locked with the main latch extended and the auxiliary latch depressed. Failure to meet these conditions will result in the lockset going into an unsecured mode.
