Product Usage Instructions
Mortise Lock Features:
- Motorized locking/unlocking with mechanical deadbolt
- Toggle action switch for Passage Mode
- DS deadbolt security for enhanced privacy
- Free egress at all times
Locking/Unlocking:
To lock the outside trim:
- If deadbolt is projected, use the toggle or electronics to lock the outside trim.
- If deadbolt is not projected, use the toggle to lock or unlock the outside trim.
To unlock and re-lock the lever:
- Unlock the lever with the toggle or by projecting the deadbolt.
- Lever can only be re-locked by toggle or projecting the deadbolt, not by electronics.
To manually unlock the outside lever:
- If the deadbolt is retracted, manually unlock the outside lever by toggle or electronic means.
- Extending the deadbolt will reset the toggle to the locked position and disable electronic control.
Electrical Control:
- Lock is furnished as FAIL SECURE but can be changed to FAIL SAFE via a switch.
- Cycle power once after switching between functions.
Toggle Switch:
- GREEN: FAIL SAFE
- YELLOW: FAIL SECURE

Q: How do I change the lock from FAIL SECURE to FAIL SAFE?
A: Access the switch on the back of the lock and toggle it to the desired setting. Remember to cycle power once after changing. -

MOTOR DRIVE ELECTRIFIED MORTISE LOCK WITH MECHANICAL DEADBOLT
- Mortise lock with motorized locking/unlocking and mechanical deadbolt. Toggle action switch to Passage Mode.
- DS deadbolt security for enhanced privacy.
- Extension of the deadbolt will disable the electrical control of a fail secure lockset locking the OUTSIDE trim.
- Retracting the deadbolt will enable the electrical control.
- Free egress at all times.
- If deadbolt is not projected, outside trim can be locked or unlocked with toggle. For passage mode, toggle can be set to keep outside lever unlocked.
- After unlocking lever with toggle, lever can only be re-locked by toggle or projecting the deadbolt, not by electronics. After retracting deadbolt, outside lever remains locked until
- manually unlocked by toggle or electronically unlocked. Extending the deadbolt will reset the toggle to the locked position and disable electronic control.
