Furnished standard with LB Locking Bar Monitor. Latch bolt by handle on either side unless the outside handle is locked by thumb turn or key. Thumb turn or key lock or unlock outside handle. When the outside handle is locked, the key retracts the latch bolt. Auxiliary latch deadlocks latch bolt. The outside handle unlocks when the inside handle is turned or the door closes. The inside handle is always free for egress.

Maintain input power to the mortise lock and check the onboard indicator lights. Remove input power before attempting a solution. The LB switch monitors the position of the locking bar. Furnished standard on the M9143ELR.

Product Usage Instructions

The lock can be operated using the inside and outside handles, along with a thumb turn or key for additional security.

Locking and Unlocking

  • To lock the outside handle, use the thumb turn or key. This action will retract the latch bolt.
  • The auxiliary latch deadlocks the latch bolt for enhanced security.
  • The outside handle unlocks when the inside handle is turned or when the door closes.
  • The inside handle is always free for easy egress.

Indicator Lights

The onboard indicator lights provide information on the lock’s status:

  • Green (Power): Indicates power status.
  • Yellow (Sensor): Indicates sensor status.
  • Red (Error): Indicates error conditions.
