Product Usage Instructions
Color Temperature Adjustment:
The luminaire’s color temperature can be set to either 3000 K or 4000 K. To
change the color temperature:
- Disconnect the luminaire from the power supply.
- Carefully unplug the connector marked 3000 K and plug it into the connector marked 4000 K for the desired color temperature.
- Reconnect the luminaire to the power supply.
Installation Instructions:
For safe installation and operation:
- Installation and commissioning should only be done by a qualified electrician.
- Avoid direct contact with the LED light output opening during installation or relamping.
- Ensure correct positioning of the gasket and tighten screws evenly when installing the luminaire top.
Desiccant Pouch Placement:
To maximize the service life of electrical components:
- Place the desiccant pouch in the luminaire before final closure.
- Remove the desiccant pouch from the foil packaging and place it in the designated position.
FAQ:
-
Q: Can the color temperature be adjusted while the luminaire is connected to the power supply?
A: No, switching the color temperature should only be done when disconnected from the power supply to ensure safety. -
Q: What is the recommended way to protect electronic components from overvoltage?
A: To protect against overvoltage, use bounce-free switching contacts like an electronic relay and consider additional overvoltage protection components.
Application
Wall washer with symmetrical light distribution for the illumination of façades and wall surfaces with the mounting surface being the reflection surface. The luminaire can be installed with the light distribution opening upwards or downwards. The colour temperature of the luminaire can be set optionally to 3000K and 4000K.

For installation with light emission downwards, the light from this luminaire
is directed evenly and highly efficiently onto the surface to be illuminated.
No light is emitted at all into the upper half-space of the luminaire.
Safety
- The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations.
- Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
- The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation.
- If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.
Overvoltage protection
The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against
overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547. To achieve an additional
protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage
protection components.
You can find them on our website at www.bega.com.The
ideal protection of all electronic components installed in the luminaires is
achieved by using bounce-free switching contacts such as an electronic relay
(solid-state relay), e.g. BEGA 71 320.
Installation
LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping. Undo the screws and lift off the luminaire top. Lead the mains supply cable through the cable entry of the luminaire base. Ensure correct directionality towards the area to be illuminated. Fix luminaire base with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface. Be sure to use the gasket rings supplied. Make earth conductor connection and electrical connection to the connecting terminal (plug connection). For digital control please use the connecting terminal DA, DA. In case this terminal is not used the luminaire will be operated at full light output. The LED module can optionally be operated with a colour temperature of 3000 K or 4000 K. The colour temperature of the LED module was set to 3000 K by default using a plug connector. For colour temperature 4000 K, the plug connector must be carefully disconnected from the LED connecting cable marked 3000 K and plugged into the LED connecting cable marked 4000 K.
Switching may only be carried out when disconnected from the power supply!
- In order to guarantee the maximum service life of the electrical components, the enclosed desiccant pouch must be placed in the luminaire.
- Remove the desiccant pouch from the foil packaging and place it in the position marked by the red information label immediately before finally closing the luminaire.
- Push plug into coupler as far as it will go.
- Make sure that gasket is positioned correctly.
- Install the luminaire top, press-on and tighten screws evenly.
