Product Usage Instructions

Follow the wiring instructions provided by both Uplink and Paradox to connect the communicators.

CAUTION

• It is advised that an experienced alarm installer programs the panel as further programming may be required to ensure proper performance and use of the full functionality.
• Do not route any wiring over a circuit board.
• Full panel testing, and signal confirmation, must be completed by the installer.

NEW FEATURE: For 5530M Communicators, the status of the panel can be retrieved not only from the status PGM but now also from the Open/Close reports from the dialler. Therefore, wiring the white wire and programming of the status PGM of the panel is optional.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Open/Close reporting needs to be enabled during the initial pairing procedure.

Wiring the 5530M communicators to Paradox SP4000

Programming the Paradox SP4000 Alarm Panel via the Keypad
Enable Contact ID reporting:

| Toggle options menu -> press keypad buttons to select ON/OFF (ON – lit, OFF- dim). 1,2,8 must be OFF and 6 must be ON. Enter to save and go to the next menu – 801 – 2nd Dialer Options
Button 1 – Dim| 1| For 801 -> 1 must be OFF, “Enter” to save and go to 802
Buttons 1,5 – Lit, Buttons 3,7 – Dim|

| For 802 -> Options, 1,5 must be ON, 3,7 must be OFF, “Enter” to save and go to 803 (802,803,804 are for “Event call direction”)
