SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before first use, carefully read read the entire contents of this manual.
Retain all warnings and safety instructions for future reference.

1. The appliance is intended for private household use only.
2. Do not use outdoors.
3. Connect the connection cable to an outlet with the parameters specified in the manual.
4. Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces.
5. Do not pick up with the hoover:
− hot ashes,
− cigarette butts and matches,
− sharp objects (e.g. glass fragments),
− plaster, cement, stone dust and flour etc,
− debris,
− water and other liquids.
6. Do not operate the appliance if the filter is damaged.
7. Do not cover the ventilation openings.
8. Do not block the inlet opening.
9. Do not use the hoover to vacuum wet carpet surfaces, e.g.
after washing with laundry shampoos. Allow the foam to fully dry and the vacuumed surface to dry.
10. Do not vacuum people or animals with the hoover and, in particular, do not bring the nozzle close to their eyes or ears.
11. Always unplug the appliance from the mains by pulling the plug, not the power cord.
12. Unplug the appliance before cleaning or replacing parts and for the time when it is not in use.
13. Always switch off the hoover after cleaning or before placing it in the charging station.
14. Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
15. Do not immerse the appliance in water.
16. Protect the hoover from moisture.
17. Never leave the hoover switched on unattended.

18. This appliance may be used by children of at least 8 years of age and by persons with reduced physical and mental capabilities and persons with inexperience
19. and knowledge of the equipment, if supervision or instruction is provided on how to use the equipment safely so that the associated risks are understood. Children should not play with the equipment. Unsupervised children should not carry out cleaning and maintenance of the equipment.
Take special care when using the equipment near children.
20. Do not use the hoover without the filters and waste container in place.
21. Use only with the originally supplied accessories and power adapter.
22. Unplug the appliance from the mains before each cleaning and emptying the bin.
23. Do not use if the power cord is damaged or if the unit has been damaged in any other way.
24. Repairs to the equipment may only be carried out by an authorised service centre. Any upgrade or use of nonoriginal spare parts or components of the appliance is prohibited and compromises the safety of use. For information on how to service, please refer to the warranty card and www.eldom.eu.
25. When vacuuming certain types of floors or floor coverings, electrostatic discharge may occur, which is not hazardous to the user.

WARNING: Improper use of the appliance may cause injury.

CAUTION: The plastic bag can be a hazard – to avoid suffocation with the bag, keep it away from babies and small children.

INTENDED USE

OB90 cordless vacuum cleaner is intended for vacuuming floors, but also curtains, upholstered furniture, etc. Thanks to its universal design, it can easily remove dust both at home and in the car.
Use of the hoover is only possible after charging the internal battery.

 ASSEMBLY

− Unpack the appliance and check that no components are damaged.
− Assemble the charging base (20+22).
− Hold the handle (1) to lift the arm and lock it. To fold the arm, press the button (4).
− On the brush (12), push the lock button (17), remove the lock (18) and insert the shaft (19). Then insert the locking device (18).
NOTE. Do not use the upright hoover without the roller (19) in the brush (12) correctly installed.
− Install the complete brush (12) in the socket (15). To remove the brush (12), press the button (16) and pull out the brush (12).
− Insert the filter (9) into the container (8) and then assemble the whole into the handheld hoover (6).

NOTE. Do not use the upright and handheld hoover without the HEPA filter (9) and container (8) in place.
− Place the assembled hand hoover (6) in the body (11). To disconnect the handheld hoover (6), press the button (5) and pull it out.
− Connect the power supply end (24) to the socket on the charging base (20). Connect the power supply (24) to the mains in accordance with the parameters specified in the instructions.
− Ensure that the assembled upright hoover is switched off and place it in the charging base (20). If the power supply unit is connected to the socket on the base (20), charging will automatically start as indicated by the indicator (14).

BATTERY

− Use of the hoover is only possible when the internal battery is charged. The charging time is approximately 5 hours.
− Charging of the battery is indicated by the indicator (13).
− During charging, the indicator (13) flashes and when the battery is charged, it lights up continuously.
− Charge the battery after unpacking and assembling the appliance.
− The hoover should be charged at room temperature.
− In order to extend the life of the battery, the first 3 charges should take place in uninterrupted cycles, after the battery has been fully discharged.
− A fully charged hoover will operate at full power for approximately 20 minutes. After this, the suction power will drop rapidly and it needs to be recharged.
− If the hoover is not used for a long time, it should be recharged at least once every 6 months.

OPERATING THE UPRIGHT VACUUM CLEANER

− Ensure that the arm (1) is raised and locked, that a complete brush (12) is fitted, and that a correctly folded hand hoover (6) is fitted in the body (11).
− The upright hoover starts when the switch (2) is pressed, the suction power can be adjusted with the button (3).
− The upright hoover can be used to vacuum various types of floor coverings or short-pile carpets.
− The brush (12) is equipped with a rotating roller (19) powered separately, which increases the vacuuming efficiency.
− To switch off the hoover, press the button (2).
− After use, clean the hoover (see CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE) and set it aside on the charging base connected to the power supply.

HAND VACUUM CLEANER USAGE

− Remove the hand hoover (6) from the body (11) by pressing the button (5).
− Make sure the HEPA filter (9) is installed in the container (8).
− The handheld hoover starts working when the switch (13) is pressed.

NOTE: The suction power cannot be adjusted.

− The handheld hoover can be used for vacuuming furniture, etc.
− Suction cups (23) can be used for vacuuming hard to reach areas.
− To switch off the hoover, press the button (13).
− After use, clean the hoover (see CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE), put it in the body (11) and place the whole unit on the charging base connected to the power supply.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

− Before carrying out any maintenance or repair work, switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the power supply.
− Correct operation of the appliance is guaranteed by regular cleaning (preferably after each use) and replacement of the HEPA filter (15) and emptying of the container (18).
− Clean the housing, accessories and power cord with a soft, slightly damp cloth with a little dishwashing detergent.
− Do not immerse the appliance in water.
− Do not use any harsh cleaning agents for cleaning cause damage to the surface of the housing.

HEPA filter

− Check the condition of the HEPA filter (9) regularly and replace it periodically.
− The HEPA filter (9) can be washed in water.

NOTE
Dry the HEPA filter (9) thoroughly before reuse. Do not use high temperatures for drying to avoid deformation of the material.
The HEPA filter (9) is a consumable item and is subject to natural wear and tear, therefore is not replaceable under warranty.

Emptying the dust container (8)

− Emptying the dust container
− It is advisable to empty the dust container after each vacuuming operation. Regular emptying of the container ensures that the hoover is working properly and that the optimum suction power is maintained.
− Make sure the appliance is switched off.
− Remove the hand hoover (14) from the body (5).
− Disconnect the container.
− Remove the HEPA filter (9) from the container (8) above the bin and clean.
− Insert the HEPA filter (9) into the container (8) and fit the container into the appliance body (11).

Cleaning the brush

− Regularly check the condition of the brush (12), especially the roller (19).
− Make sure the appliance is switched off.
− Slide the lock (16) and remove the brush (12) from the body.
− Push the lock button (17) on the brush (12), remove the lock (18) and the roller (19).
− After cleaning It is best to use scissors to cut through tangled hair.
− Clean the brush (12) with a soft, slightly dampened cloth with a little dishwashing detergent.
NOTE. The brush (12) must not be immersed in water.
− After cleaning, place the roller (19) in the brush (12) and insert the locking device (18).

DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES

− Before disposing of the product or returning it to the specified collection point, ensure that the battery is removed from the product.
− Before removing the battery, run the hoover and wait until the battery is discharged. Removal of the battery will be ensured by an authorised service centre.
− Batteries contain substances which are harmful to the environment. They should therefore not be disposed of with the normal household waste. Their correct disposal will be ensured by a suitable collection site.
