SAFETY TIPS
Read the whole content of this user manual before using the appliance for the first time.
- Connect the connection cord to a socket that complies with the specification provided in the manual.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the mains by pulling the plug, not the power cord.
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains whenever it is not used or before cleaning it.
- Do not immerse the cord or the appliance in water.
- Do not hang the cord on sharp edges and do not let it touch hot surfaces.
- Do not use in the open air.
- Do not use nearby inflammable materials such as furniture, bedding, paper, clothes, lace curtains, linings, etc.
- Do not leave children without care nearby the appliance parts of the appliance become hot when the appliance Is being used.
- You should hold the appliance only by the handgrip.
- Be careful when taking out the sandwiches. Ready-made sandwiches are hot and can burn.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is being used.

WARNING
- Opening the top cover is only allowed when the device is cold. Otherwise, there is a risk of burns.
- When opening the device route the power cord in such a way that it does not come into contact with the top cover.

DESIGNATION
GK130 electric grill is designed for grilling, frying, heating, etc. of different types of food. Thanks to the moveable top cover, the device can be used as a contact grill (simultaneous, two-sided roasting of different thickness products) or as a traditional, horizontal grill (after opening to 180 degrees).
SETTING UP THE APPLIANCE
- Before using the appliance, make sure that the appliance, the plug, and the power cable are in good technical order and that all parts of the package were removed.
- Before the first use, all parts of the appliance that are in contact with food must be thoroughly washed (see: Cleaning and maintenance).
The specific smell may be sensed during the first use, which results from the production process. It is a normal process and it will go away after a time. Ensure the proper ventilation in the room, e.g. opening the window. The first use of the appliance should be without products.
USE
Before using the device and plugging it into the power supply mains with the parameters compliant with the ones indicated on the device, set the thermostat (4) in the “0” position.
CONTACT GRILL
- Set the device on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface.
- Close the cover (1).
- Install the grease collector (9) in the base (8) – fig. 1.
- Connect the device to a power supply. A red control lamp (3) will come on.
- Set the temperature using the thermostat (4). A green control lamp (5) is lit when the device is heating up, and it turns off when the device reaches the desired temperature.
- Open the cover (1) holding it by the holder (2). Place the products and gently close the cover (1). Do not push the cover (1) down, as you may crush the products, and do not block it during operation (6). The cover (1) will automatically adjust to the thickness of the products.
- The green control lamp turns on and off during frying. The thermostat maintains a proper temperature.
- Remove the products when they are done frying. In order not to damage the heating plates, use a spatula (12), and wooden or plastic, heat-resistant utensils.
- During the preparation of new portions of products, close cover (1) in order to maintain the temperature.
- Empty the container (9) regularly.
- After the full completion of roasting, disconnect the device from the power supply.
HORIZONTAL GRILL
- Set the device on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface.
- Push the lock button (7) and open the top cover holding it by the holder (2).
WARNING
Opening the top cover is only allowed when the device is cold. Otherwise,
there is a risk of burns. Route the power cord in such a way that it does not
come into contact with the top cover.
- Connect the device to a power supply. A red control lamp (3) will come on.
- Set the temperature using the thermostat (4). A green control lamp (5) is lit when the device is heating up, and it turns off, when the device reaches the desired temperature.
- Place the products on the plates and grill turning them once in a while.
- The green control lamp turns on and off during frying. The thermostat maintains a proper temperature.
- Remove the products when they are done frying. In order not to damage the heating plates, use a spatula (12), and wooden or plastic, heat-resistant utensils.
- Empty the container (9) regularly.
- After the full completion of roasting, disconnect the device from the power supply.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it cool down before cleaning it,
- do not immerse any part of the appliance in water or other liquids
- first, rub the cooking plates with paper towels in order to remove grease,
- then, clean the appliance and the cord gently with a wet cloth
- do not use cleaning agents and dissolvents,
- in case of residue which is difficult to be removed, do not use sharp tools as they can destroy coatings on the plates of the appliance. The best way to remove dirt is to cover them with a wet cloth to dissolve the residue,
- clean and empty the tray (9) regularly. The tray can be taken out and washed in warm water with some washing liquid.
