The disposal of used electrical and electronic equipment (applies to European
Union countries and other European countries with
separate waste-collection systems).
This symbol on the product or its packaging indicates that it should not be
classified as household waste. It should be handed over to an appropriate
company dealing with the collection and recycling of electrical and electronic
equipment. The correct disposal of the product will prevent potential
negative consequences for the environment and human health resulting from
hazardous substances present in the product. Electrical devices
must be handed over to restrict their re-use and further treatment. If the
device contains batte ries, remove them, and hand them over to a storage
point separately. DO NOT THROW EQUIPMENT INTO THE MUNICIPAL WASTE BIN.
Material recycling helps to preserve natural resources. For detailed
information on how to recycle this product, please contact your local
authority, the recycling company, or the shop where you bought it.
SAFETY CONDITIONS
It is recommended to keep this instructions manual for future reference. Read the content of this manual carefully before first use.
- The connection cable should be plugged into a socket with parameters which conform to those found in the manual.
- The appliance is not meant to be used via an external clock or a separate remote control system.
- The cable cannot be laid across sharp edges or near hot surfaces and items, as this may damage the insulation. Possible risk of electrocution.
- Do not place any items, furniture, etc. on the cable and make sure that it is not bent.
- Place the appliance on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface.
- Do not use the toaster without the sliding crumb tray. The crumb tray should be cleaned regularly. Do not let the crumbs collect on the tray.
- The appliance cannot be used to toast food products containing sugar, jam or preservatives.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply by pulling on the plug, not the cable.
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply if it is not being used and before cleaning.
- Do not immerse the cable or the appliance in water.
- Do not use in the open air.
- Caution: the bread may be burned. When using the toaster make sure that there is enough space above and around the appliance to obtain proper air circulation. During operation, the appliance cannot come into contact with drapes, wall decorations, clothes, paper towels or other combustible materials.
- BE CAREFUL when using the appliance on heat-sensitive surfaces – it is recommended to use an insulated thermal pad.
- Do not leave children unattended near the appliance.
- Appliance parts become hot during use. Wait until the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and putting it away.
- Be cautious when removing the products from the toaster. The prepared products are hot and pose a risk of burning.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above, and by persons with reduced physical, mental capabilities and persons with lack of experience and knowledge concerning the appliance, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Children should not play with the appliance. Unattended children should not be allowed to perform the cleaning and maintenance of the appliance.
- Do not transport or move the appliance during use.
- Do not cover the appliance during operation.
- Do not insert products in metal foil into the appliance.
- Do not touch the device with wet hands.
- Use only with the originally supplied accessories.
- The appliance is intended for home use only.
- Do not use the toaster in case that the power supply cable is damaged, when the appliance fell or was damaged in any other way. Repair of the appliance should be entrusted to an authorized service; list of services can found in the attachment or at www.eldom.eu.
- The repair can only be performed by an authorized service centre. Any modernizations or use of parts other than the original spare parts or elements of the appliance are forbidden and dangerous to the user.
- Eldom Sp. z o. o. shall not be liable for potential losses due to improper use of the appliance.
WARNING: Improper use of the appliance may cause injury.
WARNING: Plastic bag can be dangerous, to avoid danger of suffocation
keep this bag away from babies and children.
CAUTION
Do not use metal cutlery, etc., in case the product gets stuck in the
appliance or difficulties are encountered when removing too small slices of
bread from the toaster, as contact with electrically-live elements may cause
fatal electrocution. Disconnect the appliance from the power source and
carefully remove the stuck products.

HOW TO USE THE APPLIANCE
After unpacking the appliance, make sure it has not been damaged during
transport. In case of any doubts, do not use the appliance before contacting a
service centre.
Put the appliance on a flat and stable surface resistant to high temperatures.
When used for the first time, the heating elements and insulation of the
toaster may give off a specific smell. It is a normal phenomenon. The
appliance should be used for the first time without any products.
The Toaster is equipped with a „Central bread positioning system”. This means
that the inserted grill automatically adjusts to the thickness of the slices
and places them in a central position between the heating parts
- Turn the control (3) to position “1” and plug the appliance in.
- Put some slices of toast in the toaster and push the lever (1) down.
- Operation of appliance is indicated by the indicator light next to the button (2)
- Set the toasting time with the use of the control (3).
- When the toast is ready, it automatically pops up.
- To cancel toasting before the time set is up, press the “STOP” button (2).
- The Defrost (5) button should be pressed when toasting frozen bread. After putting the bread in the toaster and pushing the lever (1) down, set the toasting time with the use of the control (2) and press the button (5). Defrosting is signalled by the control lamp.
- The Reheat (4) button should be used when reheating bread. In case of this function, the time set with the use of the control (2) is not important. After putting the bread in the toaster and pushing the lever (1) down, press the button (4). Reheating is signalled by the control lamp. The toaster will switch off automatically after about 35 seconds.
Note. It is not possible to push the lever (1) down, if the appliance is not connected to the mains.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- The appliance may be cleaned only after it has been unplugged and cooled down.
- When cleaning, the toaster must not be immersed in water.
- The outer surfaces may be cleaned with a moist cloth with some washing-up liquid.
- Avoid cleansing agents and products which are strong or may damage the surface.
- The toaster is equipped with a removable crumb tray (6), which should be cleaned after every use.
- If there are any crumbs or pieces of bread between the heaters or in the appliance, hold the toaster upside down to remove them.
