CAUTION: THE INSTALLATION AND SERVICING OF THIS PRODUCT SHOULD BE PERFORMED BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN OR SERVICE PERSONNEL. Read and understand these instructions before installing the luminaire.

To ensure safety, follow all local electrical codes and regulations. Turn off electricity at the fuse box before proceeding with installation. Allow the fixture to cool before handling.

Installation Steps:

  • Step 1: Cut Ceiling Opening
    • Cut an opening in the ceiling as per the provided dimensions for the remodeler. Ensure there are no obstructions in the ceiling.
  • Step 2: Wire Connection
    • Connect the wires to the supply leads – white wire to neutral, black wire to hot, and bare copper/green wire to ground. Use wire nuts for connections and place them in the j-box.
  • Step 3: Install Driver and Trim
    • Feed the driver from the light engine through the aperture hole in the ceiling. Squeeze the trim springs while pushing the trim reflector up into the ceiling cutout. Adjust as needed.

INSTALLATION

Step 1
Cut an opening in the ceiling to accommodate the remodeler to be installed as shown in figure 1. Ensure that there is nothing in the ceiling to obstruct the installation.signify-ZF4RDL-EasyLyte-Flex-Down-Lighting-fig

Note: For 4” Series use 4.5” and 6’’ use 6.5’’ Hole Cutout

Step 2
Wire to supply leads. White wire to neutral supply lead, black wire to hot supply lead, and bare copper and/or green wire must be connected to supply ground. Use wire nuts (local hardware item). Note: For luminaires with 0-10V dimming, or digital dimming, wire violet and pink leads to appropriate control.

Step 3
Feed Driver from Light Engine through the aperture hole in the ceiling. Squeeze the two Trim Springs upward while pushing the Trim Reflector up into the ceiling cutout. As shown in figure 2 and figure 3.
