FALCON RIDGE KAW-610-FC01 610 600 Mule Full Cab Enclosure
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
CAUTION: Do not smoke inside the cab or expose the product to direct
flames. Product is FLAMMABLE. KAW-610-FC01
Be sure to read these instructions thoroughly before opening and installing
the enclosure. The installation is best done when the temperature is 70°F or
warmer. The temperature affects the adhesive Velcro. If conditions prevent
installing in warmer weather it helps to store the adhesive Velcro at room
temperature prior to installation.
-
Carefully open the carton and unroll the enclosure on a large flat surface that is clean and free of dirt or other material.
-
Check over the parts included in the carton with the parts list shown below:
- Velcro hook strips 6 each 8” long
- Velcro hook strips 1 each 10” long
- Snap studs 17 each
- Cab enclosure 1 each
-
Loosely drape the enclosure over the roll cage. Slide the nose of the enclosure under and around the front of the hood. Place the 10” adhesive Velcro strip in the middle under the lip of the hood so that it matches with the Velcro sewn on the nose of the enclosure. Clean the area with rubbing alcohol; let dry then apply the Velcro hook strip. Attach the enclosure to the strip under the hood as shown in photo below.
-
Working your way to the rear of the roll cage, carefully fit the enclosure into position. Pull the lower edge of the rear panel down between the rear of the roll cage and the front of the dump bed. Attach the two straps on either side along the bottom edge.
-
Center the enclosure left to right on the roll cage and zip the doors closed.
-
Note the position of the sewn-in Velcro strips on the enclosure and apply three 8” adhesive Velcro strips on the left side of the roll cage for the front window. Be certain to clean the surfaces with rubbing alcohol before placing the adhesive strips. First, apply all three strips on one side of the roll cage and attach the unit. Next apply three 8” adhesive Velcro strips on the right side of the roll cage. Pull the window tightly toward the right side to minimize waviness or wrinkles in the front window and attach. See illustration below.
-
Locate the hook and loop straps sewn into the enclosure at both sides of the rear seat supports and attach.
-
Mark the locations for the stud snaps on the fenders and side panels. Carefully ensure that they correspond correctly to the snaps in the enclosure, and then install the stud snaps using only a #2 Phillips screwdriver.
CAUTION: Do not use a power drill/driver as damage to the fuel tank can occur! -
To open and stow the doors, move the zipper fully rearward and fold the bottom portion of the doors up. Then begin to form a vertical roll with the door by rolling it inward from the front edge toward the rear of the door. Secure in place using the two hook and loop straps sewn into the enclosure at those locations. Try to form a roll approximately 2” in diameter to ensure that the door will not protrude while stowed.
Cleaning and Storage Recommendations:
- Before removing the enclosure for storage, make sure it is clean and dry, to prevent soiling the textile and scratching the clear vinyl windows. Clean with a soft rag or sponge using a mild liquid detergent soap and warm water solution. Let the enclosure dry thoroughly before attempting to roll for storage.
- It is important that the enclosure be rolled up for storage rather than folding. Folding will cause undesirable creasing of both the enclosure textile and the clear vinyl windows. Carefully roll up the enclosure similar to the way it was when it was packed at the factory. Put the rolled enclosure back into the carton for storage at a normal room temperature. It is best not to expose the enclosure to either extreme hot or cold temperatures when storing.
- A special cleaner/conditioner is available from Falcon Ridge that will greatly increase the service life of the cab enclosure. If needed, additional hook and loop sets are available, as well as other spare parts and hardware. Contact Falcon Ridge for information.
- Transporting or trailering your UTV with the enclosure installed is not generally recommended. It is best to remove the enclosure before transporting your UTV.
