The hairdryer is intended for hair drying and styling.

Attention! Do not use the appliance near by any reservoirs containing water (bathtub, swimming pool, etc.).

  • When using inside a bathroom, always discon-nect the appliance from the wall outlet after usage; in particular, unplug the power cord from wall outlet, as proximity to water is dangerous even if the appliance is switched off.
  • For additional protection, it is reasonable to in-stall residual current device (RCD) with rated operating current no higher then 30 mA into the power supply circuit of your bathroom. Apply to competent specialist for installation.

SAFETY MEASURES

Before using the unit, read this instruction manual carefully; keep this manual for future reference. Use the unit according to its intended purpose only, as it is stated in this user manual. Mishandling the unit can lead to its breakage and cause harm to the user or damage to his/her property.

  • Before using the unit for the first time, make sure that the voltage in your mains corresponds to the voltage of the unit.

  • To avoid fire, do not use adapters for connecting the unit to the mains.

  • Do not immerse the power cord and power plug into water or other liquids.

  • Do not touch the unit body and the power plug with wet hands.

  • Before using the unit, examine the power cord closely and make sure that it is not damaged. Never use the unit if the power cord or plug is damaged, if the unit works improperly or after it was dropped.

  • It is recommended to unwind the power cord to its full length while using the unit.

  • The power cord should not:

    • touch hot objects,
    • run over sharp edges,
    • be used as a handle for carrying the unit.
  • Use only the nozzle supplied with the unit.

  • Do not switch the unit on in places where aero-sols are sprayed or highly inflammable liquids are used.

  • Hair spray should be applied only after hair styling is finished.

  • Do not use the unit while taking a bath.

  • Never leave the operating unit unattended.

  • Take the switched-on hairdryer by its handle only.

  • Do not place and do not keep the unit in places, where it can fall into a bath or a sink filled with water, do not immerse the unit in water or any other liquids.

  • If the unit is dropped into water, unplug it immediately and only then take it out of the water.

  • Do not use the unit when you are drowsy.

  • Do not use the unit to style wet hair or synthetic wigs.

  • Avoid contact of heated surfaces with your face, neck and other parts of your body.

  • Never block the air inlets of the hairdryer, do not place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air inlets may be blocked. Keep the air inlets free of lint, dust, hair etc. Never insert any foreign objects into the unit body openings.

  • Avoid getting of hair into the air inlet grid during operation of the unit.

  • Do not direct hot air into your eyes or other heat-sensitive parts of your body.

  • The nozzle gets hot during operation. Let it cool down before removing it from the unit body.

  • Do not leave the unit unattended. Unplug the unit before cleaning and if you are not using it.

  • Never pull the power cord when disconnecting the unit from the mains, take the power plug and carefully remove it from the mains socket.

  • Do not allow children to touch the unit body and the power cord during the unit operation.

  • This unit is not intended for usage by children.

  • This unit is not intended for usage by people with physical, neural and mental disorders or with insufficient experience or knowledge. Such persons may use this unit only if they are under supervision of a person who is responsible for their safety and if they are given all the neces-sary and understandable instructions concern-ing the safe usage of the unit and information about danger that can be caused by its improper usage.

  • Do not leave children unattended to prevent using the unit as a toy.

  • For children safety reasons do not leave polyethylene bags used as packaging unat-tended.
    Attention! Do not allow children to play with poly-ethylene bags or packaging film.
    Danger of suf-focation

  • Do not attempt to repair the unit. Do not dis-assemble the unit by yourself, if any malfunc-tion is detected or after it was dropped, unplug the unit and apply to any authorized service center from the contact address list given in the warranty certificate and on the website  www.vitek.ru.

  • Transport the unit in the original package only.

  • Keep the unit out of reach of children and dis-abled persons.

THE UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY, ITS COMMERCIAL USAGE AND USAGE IN PRODUCTION AREAS AND WORK SPACES IS PROHIBITED.

USING THE HAIRDRYER

After unit transportation or storage at low temperature, it is necessary to keep it for at least 3 hours at room temperature before switching it on.

  • Unpack the hairdryer and remove any stickers that can prevent unit operation.
  • Unwind the power cord completely.
  • Before switching the unit on, make sure that your home mains voltage corresponds to the unit operating voltage.
  • Insert the power plug into the main socket.

Switching the hair dryer on
Before switching the appliance on make sure the power supply voltage meets the operating voltage of the appliance.

  • Insert power cord plug into a wall outlet.

  • Select the operating speed you need using the airflow speed switch (1):
    0 the hairdryer is switched off;

    • low speed;
    • high speed;
  • Select the airflow temperature you need using a heating degree switch (2).

    • slight heating
    • medium heating
    • maximal heating

Taking care of your hair
Before drying and setting your hair, wash them with shampoo, dry it with a towel to remove excessive moisture and brush for better results.

Fast drying
Set switch (2) into position of maximal heating (position ), select the airflow speed you need using switch (1) and dry your hair out a little bit. Shake off excessive moisture by hand or using a brush and continuously move the hair dryer over your hair.

Straightening your hair
Set switch (2) into the position of maximal heating (position ), select the airflow speed you need using switch (1), and dry your hair out a little bit. When your hair are almost dry, install concentrating nozzle (4), and reduce the degree of air heating by the switch (2) and airflow speed by a switch (1). Divide your hair in locks and layers, and start straightening them from lower layers upwards. Bruch hair downright using round or flat brush, simultaneously directing hot air blowing from concentrating nozzle on them. Straighten each lock from root to tip this way. After you have finished straitening locks of the lower layer, start processing the locks of the medium layer, and so on, and fin-ish with straitening locks of the upper layer. Natural waving structure of your hair Set switch (2) into a position of slight heating (position ), then set switch (2) position, hold a lock between your fingers tightly, turn it to the direction of its natural curliness, then dry the lockout by directing air jet between the fingers. After getting the shape you need, press a cool shot button (2) and fix each lock.

Rising up and volume
Using a hair dryer in any mode of heating/any speed from slight to maximal, dry out hair roots beginning from the backside of your head.

Styling your hair
Set switches (1,2) into positions of slight heating and slow speed correspondingly, and attach concentrating nozzle (4) to provide directed airflow. Divide your hair into locks and start creating hairstyle you need using a round brush for setting your hair. While styling, direct airflow straight on your hair in any direction you want. If necessary, direct the air jet on each lock for 2-5 seconds to fix it. Time of setting locks you should determine on your own taking into account type of your hair.

“Cool shot”
This model is equipped with the function of “cool shot”, which can be used for fixing your hairstyle. Press and hold the “cool shot” button (3) . This option helps to protect the hairstyle you have created.

PROTECTION AGAINST OVERHEATING

The appliance is equipped with the function of protection against overheating. This function switches the appliance off if the temperature of outgoing air is higher then admitted. If hair dryer is switched off during operation, turn it off by setting switch (1) into position “0”, take the power cord plug out of the wall outlet, examine if air inlet or outlet openings are blocked, leave the appliance for a while for cooling down for 5-10 minutes, then switch it on again. Do not block air openings while using a hair dryer and avoid your hair getting inside its air inlet opening.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

This hair dryer is intended for household usage only.

  • It is recommended to remove the air inlet grill (5) and clean it from time to time.
  • Set switch (1) into position “0” and disconnect the appliance from power supply.
  • Press on the grid clamps simultaneously and remove the grid. Clean the grid with a brush, install the grid to its place.
  • Wipe hair dryer housing with a damp cloth and wipe it dry afterward.

STORAGE

  • Unplug power cord from wall outlet when hair dryer is not in use.
  • Do not wind power cord around the appliance as doing so may cause cord’s malfunction. Handle power cord carefully, do not pull, twist or stretch it, especially near the plug and the place of con-nection with appliance housing. If power cord is twisted during operation, straighten it from time to time.
  • For easy storing there is a hanging loop (7), you can hang the hairdryer on this loop provided that no water gets on the hairdryer in this position; you can fold the handle (6) to minimize the hair-dryer size.
  • Store hair dryer at a place inaccessible by chil-dren.

For environmental protection do not throw out the unit and the batteries (if included), do not discard the unit and the batteries with usual household waste after the service life expiration; apply to specialized centers for further recycling. The waste generated during the disposal of the unit is subject to mandatory collection and consequent disposal in the prescribed manner. For further information about recycling of this product apply to a local municipal administration, a disposal service, or to the shop where you purchased this product. The manufacturer reserves the right to change design, structure, and specifications not affecting general principles of the unit operation without a preliminary notification due to which insignificant differences between the manual and product may be observed. A serial number is an eleven-unit number, with the first four figures indicating the production date. For example, serial number 0606Ñ… means that the item was manufactured in June (the sixth month) 2006.
