First-time connection with PlayStation®5 consoles or PlayStation®4 consoles

This microphone is a Plug’n’Play device. Simply connect it to one of the free USB ports on your console. It should be recognized by the console after a period of time (approx. 5 seconds). If this is not the case, then please unplug the microphone and use a different USB port. You can check the microphone’s status and adjust the volume level by checking the following:

– From the PlayStation®5 console’s home screen, go to “Settings” > “Sound” > “Microphone”.
– From the PlayStation®4 console’s home screen, go to “Settings” > “Devices” > “Audio Devices” > “Adjust Microphone Level”.

Using the microphone

Please note that this is a cardioid pattern microphone, which means it only records audio signals coming from one specific direction.

This direction is indicated by the symbol on the casing. For optimal recording results, please make sure this direction faces towards the audio signal.

Normal use

We recommend that your mouth is no more than 20-30cm away from the microphone. As everyone’s voice is different, you should experiment to find the best location and performance set-up.

Near field use

When you are singing or giving commentary, the microphone should be 10–40cm from your mouth and directly in front of you.
We also recommend that you use the foam windscreen to dampen pop sounds.
Please keep the microphone away from any audio source to avoid any other interference.
