IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Compatible compressors

  • Always make sure to use a compressor that is appropriate for the air The compressor should be able to supply a minimal air delivery of 3SCFM@90PSI to ensure that the compressor can run continuously with the air tool.
  • Using tools or a combination of tools that together or separately require air pressure more than that of which the compressor can deliver will reduce

Air supply system

  • Always use clean, dry, regulated, compressed air at 4-6.3 bar (60-90 PSI).
  • Do not exceed the maximum and minimum Operating the tool at the wrong pressure (too low or too high) will cause excessive noise or rapid wear.
  • It is recommended that a filter-regulator-lubricator be used and be located as close to the tool as
  • If a filter-regulator-lubricator is not installed, place up to 6 drops of pneumatic tool oil into the air inlet plug before each
  • If a filter-regulator-lubricator is installed, keep the air filter A dirty filter will reduce the air pressure to the tool, which will cause a reduction in power, efficiency and general performance.
  • Verify that all connections in the air supply system are sealed in order to prevent air from
  • Drain the compressor tank Water in the air supply line will damage the tool.
  • Clean the inlet and the filter
  • Line pressure should be increased to compensate for unusually long air

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Connection and operation

  1. Set the operating pressure in the compressor to 90 PSI (6.3 bar) and attach one end of the air hose (1) to the compressor and the other end of the air hose to the tool (2). (Fig. 3)
  2. Place the sanding pad (1) of the air sander over the workpiece (2) to be (Fig. 4)
  3. Press the trigger (1) and move the air sander (2) in an oscillating motion to produce a smoother finish on the (Fig. 5)

Changing the sanding pad

  1. Disconnect the air hose (1) from the tool (2). (Fig. 6)
  2. Firmly hold the nut securing the sanding pad (1) with the wrench (2) provided and unscrew the pad manually to remove (Fig. 7)
  3. Place the new sanding pad (1) over the nut (2). (Fig. 8)

Warning:

  • After changing the sanding pad, ensure that the sanding pad is tightened properly before operating the
  • Do not apply additional or excessive force to the tool when
  • Do not allow the tool to run free (without load) for an extended period of Doing so will shorten the life of the tool.
  • Ensure that the air supply is clean and that the air pressure does not exceed 90 PSI (6.3 bar) while operating the

MAINTENANCE

  • Disconnect the tool from the air supply before changing accessories, servicing or performing
  • Only use the tool after replacing or repairing the damaged parts or
  • Use only recommended and properly rated replacement parts and
  • Repairs must be performed by a qualified service

  • Disconnect the tool from the air supply before making any
Problem Possible cause Solution

The tool runs at normal speed without load but the speed is reduced under load

| 1. Motor parts are worn.

2. The clutch is worn or sticking due to lack of lubricant.

| 1. Lubricate the clutch housing.

2. Check for excess clutch oil. Clutch cases need only be half full. Overfilling can cause drag on high speed clutch parts.

3. Grease lubrication: Heat usually indicates insufficient

grease in chamber.

The tool runs slowly. Air flows slightly from the exhaust

| 1. Motor parts jammed with dirt particles.

2. Power regulator is in the closed position.

3. Dirt is blocking the air flow.

| 1. Check air inlet filter for blockage.

2. Pour air tool oil into air inlet as per instructions.

3. Repeat above as needed.

The tool will not run. Too much air flows from the exhaust| 1. One or more motor vanes stuck due to material build up.| 1. Pour air tool oil into air inlet.

2. Tap motor housing gently with plastic mallet.

The tool will not shut off

| 1. O-rings in the throttle valve are dislodged from the seat inlet valve.| 1. Replace O-rings or send the tool to a service center for repairs.
Note: Repairs should only be carried out by a qualified person.
