Tare function
The tare function lets you know what the net weight of a product is when you put the gross weight on the weighing plate. Example: You want to weigh ingredients in a bowl. If the empty bowl weighs 100 grams, after pressing the tare button, “0 grams” will appear on the screen instead of 100 grams. If you then put 50 grams of vegetables in the bowl, the screen will show “50 grams” instead of 150 grams. So the weight of the bowl will be filtered out.
- First, place an empty bowl on the weighing tray. The weight of the empty bowl is displayed on the screen.
- Press the TARE button to filter out the tare weight. The screen will now display “0” and the word “TARE”.
- Now put the products to be weighed into the empty bowl.
- The screen will display the weight of the products (net weight) without theweight of the bowl.
- When you are done, take the products and the bowl off the weighing plate. The screen will show the negative weight of the bowl. Press the TARE button to return to zero (without tare).
