Connecting the product to the LP gas cylinder
ATTENTION!
Do not place the gas cylinder on the lower shelf (trolley) as it is too
close to the burner. Risk of explosion
- Place the product on a level, stable and non-flammable surface away from any object or substance:
- Min. distance to materials or substances: 2 meters above and 1 meter sideways.
- Min. distance to flammable materials or substances: 8 meters.
- Check that both the product and the gas container are in good working order and that there is an intact seal on the regulator G1.
- Connect the gas hose G5 with the gas cylinder G4. Make sure the gas hose is not bent or under tension.
- Turn the operating lever G2 to the 9 o’clock position and press the regulator G1 on the valve of the gas cylinder G4 until you hear a click.
- Check the connection by pulling the regulator G1 upwards. It should not disconnect from the cylinder valve.
- Check the connection between the regulator G1 and the gas hose G5 to the valve and ensure they are secure.
- Open the cylinder’s valve by turning the operating lever G2 to the 12 o’clock position.
- Always check for leaks after assembling and before using the product (see 3.3 “Checking for leaks”). Risk of fire and injuries!
- For the gas to flow, the control knobs on the product and the cylinder valve G2 op the gas cylinder must be opened (12 o’clock position). The spark is emitted when reaching 1/4 position on a control knob.
Checking for leaks: ATTENTION!
Use a standard leak-detecting method to ensure all connections are tight.
Never use an open flame to check for leaks and do not rely on your hearing or
smelling.
- Set all control knobs to OFF.
- Open the gas control valve on the gas cylinder.
- Brush a soap solution over all gas system joints including valve connections, hose connections and regulator connections.
- If bubbles form somewhere, it means there is a leak. If the connection is not sealed, immediately close the cylinder valve by turning the operating lever G2 to the 9 o’clock position.
- Tighten the connection or replace the leaking part before using the product.
- Repeat the leak test annually or whenever the gas cylinder is repaired or replenished.
Using the product: ATTENTION!
During use, the surface of the product becomes very hot. Touch only the

- Open the lid and ensure all knobs are in OFF position.
- Turn on the gas cylinder valve.
- Push and turn the control knob counterclockwise to the HI position until a click is heard and the burner is lit. If the burner does not light, turn the burner control to OFF, wait 5 minutes and repeat the lighting procedure.
- When the burner is lit, release the control knob and adjust the flame by turning the knob between HI and LOW.
- You can now place food on the cooking grates.
- After each cooking session, open the lid and turn the control knobs to the HI position. Let the burners burn for 5 minutes with an open lid. This will burn off cooking residue and make the cleaning easier.
- Turn the control knobs to OFF and wait for the product to cool before closing the lid.
- Disconnect the gas cylinder following the instructions in 3.6 “Disconnecting the gas cylinder after use”.
- When the product has cooled, clean and store according to the instructions in 5 “Maintenance and cleaning” and 6 “Storage”.

If the burner fails to light after sever attempts, try lighting it using a
match. Place a match in the match holder and use the holder to slide the lit
match through the cooking grates to the left of the burner you wish to light.
Press and turn the burner control knob to HI position.
Tips for cooking
- To prevent food from sticking to the grate, apply a thin layer of cooking oil or vegetable oil with a brush to the grill each time before putting new meat on it. When cooking for the first time, the coating color may change as a result. This is normal.
- To reduce risks of fire, keep the barbecue clean, use lean cuts of meat and ovoid cooking on very high temperature.
- Place delicate foods like fish and vegetables in aluminum foil for indirect cooking.
- To avoid losing natural juice, use long handled tongs or spatulas instead of forks and turn food just once during cooking.
- You can adjust your burners to different levels so food can be prepared to different internal temperatures at the same time.
Disconnecting the gas cylinder after use
- Close the cylinder’s valve by turning the operating lever G2 to the 9 o’clock position.
- Press the release button G3 and pull the regulator G1 upwards. (Alternatively: Rotate the nut on regulator G1 anti-clockwise to release it).
- Store the regulator G1 with the gas hose under the product, making sure the hose is not twisted.
- Store the gas cylinder correctly following the instructions in chapter 6 “Storage”. Always store the gas cylinder outdoors.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
- Wait for the product to cool completely before cleaning it.
- Thoroughly clean the product after use and after extended periods of storage.
- Cooking grill: Clean with hot soapy water. To remove any food residue, use a mild cream cleaner on a non-abrasive pad. Rinse well and dry thoroughly. Do not clean the cooking grids in a self-cleaning oven.
- Burner: In normal usage, burning off the residue after cooking will keep the burner clean. The burner should be removed and cleaned annually to avoid build-ups. Take special care when cleaning the area around the burner. Use a pipe cleaner to clear any obstruction and a wire brush to remove corrosion from the burner surfaces. When refitting the burner, be careful to check that the venturi tubes of the burner fit over the valve outlets.
- Barbecue Body: Regularly remove excess grease or fat from the barbecue body with a soft plastic or wooden scraper. Remove cooking surfaces and burners before full cleaning and use hot soapy water and a cloth, or nylon-bristled brush only. Do not immerse the parts in water. Check burner operation after carefully refitting into body.
- Fixings: Annual checking and tightening of metal fixings is recommended.

- If the barbecue is stored indoors, the gas cylinder must be disconnected and left outside.
Storing the gas cylinder:
- Fit the gas cylinder valve with a cap nut and safety cap.
- Always store the gas cylinder outside.
- Store the gas cylinder in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from any sources of heat or ignition.
- Do not store the gas cylinder below ground level or in passageways.
