  • The appliance is intended for the extraction of juices from fruits and vegetables. Only foodstuffs may be processed with the appliance. Only the original attachments and accessories, as described herein, may be used. Any other use or modification is considered improper use and brings with it the great risk of serious accidents. All other usages or modifications are regarded as contrary to the operating instructions and contain a great risk of accidents. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage(s) resulting from usage that is contrary to these instructions. The device is designed for use in private households. The device must only be used indoors. This device must not be used for commercial purposes.

Warnings and Safety Instructions

  • Please ensure that the packaging is kept out of the reach of children! Risk of suffocation!
  • Make sure to keep this user manual. Read the manual carefully!
  • Be aware of the risks and consequences resulting from misuse of the Slow Juicer. Misuse can result in personal injury, or destruction of the Slow Juicer or personal injury.
  • Use the Slow Juicer only for purposes described in this user manual.
  • If the Slow Juicer or parts of the appliance malfunction, are dropped or (appear to be) damaged in any manner, do NOT use them and contact Customer Service.
  • The Slow Juicer is designed and intended for private, non-commercial use only.
  • Do NOT leave the Slow Juicer unattended when in use. When you are not using the Slow Juicer turn the device off and disconnect the device from the power socket.
  • Do NOT remove the removable parts when the Slow Juicer is turned on. Turn the device off and wait until the screw has stopped turning before removing the parts.

Persons

  • The Slow Juicer can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
  • The Slow Juicer can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.

Use

  • Keep your hands away from the movable parts. Do not put any body parts such as fingers or any objects other than food in the Slow Juicer when it is turned on. If food gets lodged in the opening, use the pusher or another piece of fruit to push it down. When this does not suffice, turn the motor off, wait until the screw has stopped turning, and disassemble the Slow Juicer to remove the remaining food.
  • Remove all hard parts, seeds, skin, shells and cut the ingredients in small pieces before putting them in the Slow Juicer to avoid blockages.
  • Do not forcefully push down on the Slow Juicer.
  • The filter, lid and mortar may become discolored by the juice. This is normal and has no harmful effect on the juice or your health.
  • Do not use the appliance for more than 10 minutes at a time and allow the appliance to cool down for 10 minutes each time.
  • The Slow Juicer is equipped with an overheat protection function and will automatically turn off after 20 minutes of continuous use. Let the Slow Juicer cool down for 20-30 minutes before restarting it.
  • The Slow Juicer is equipped with an over-current protection. If the current goes above 1.3A when processing hard foods, the Slow Juicer will beep and the motor will turn off automatically. If this happens, remove the plug from the power outlet, keep the switch in position “O”, discharge the food, and press “Rotate Backwards” to restart the machine. If the problem persists, remove the food material from the auger and restart the machine.
  • Do NOT cover the Slow Juicer when it is switched on. Never put blankets or cushions on top of or against the machine. This poses a risk of fire, electric shock or injury.
  • Only use the Slow Juicer on flat, horizontal and stable surfaces.

Electronics

  • Do NOT repair or disassemble the Slow Juicer. This can damage the device. For safety reasons, these parts may only be replaced by authorised service personnel. In order to prevent hazards, always send the Slow Juicer to the service centre for repairs.
  • Make sure your outlet supplies the correct power voltage to avoid damage to the Slow Juicer.
  • Always check the Slow Juicer, the different parts and the power cord and plug before using them.
  • Do NOT operate the Slow Juicer if the cord or plug are damaged. A damaged cord or plug must be replaced by a qualified person in order to avoid damages and personal injuries.
  • Check if the removable parts are firmly secured before using the Slow Juicer. Do NOT use the Slow Juicer if the parts are not firmly secured.
  • Do NOT use the Slow Juicer in or near a bath, shower, swimming pool, or over a basin filled with water.
  • Do NOT operate the device with damp or wet hands and do NOT touch the power cord with damp or wet hands. Make sure to prevent any contact with water. Do NOT submerge the Slow Juicer in water. If water does get inside the casing, turn the machine off immediately and contact our customer service.
  • If the power fails during usage, turn off the Slow Juicer immediately and pull the plug from the socket.
  • Keep the Slow Juicer away from moisture, heat and in or close to areas where the surrounding temperature is relatively hot (e.g. stoves or other sources of heat).
  • Do NOT disconnect the Slow Juicer from its power supply by pulling the cable.
  • Do NOT carry or pull the device by its cable.
  •  Make sure that you do NOT trip over the cable. The cable should not be kinked, trapped or twisted.

Other

  • The juice filter, extractor cover, or auger may be dyed by the juice during operation. This is a normal phenomenon and has no effect on the edibility and does not pose health risks.
    Clean the Slow Juicer, especially the parts that come into contact with food, after every use. Do NOT use steel wool, abrasive cleaning agents or corrosive liquids such as gasoline or acetone to clean the Slow Juicer.
Receiving Your Shipment
  • When receiving your shipment, make sure that the contents are consistent with the packing list. Notify your distributor of any missing items. If the equipment appears to be damaged, file a claim immediately with the carrier and notify your distributor at once, giving a detailed description of any damage. Save the damaged packing container to substantiate your claim.

Operating Instructions

Assembling

  1. Attach the drum to the housing by aligning the ,, on the food chute with the a on the Housing. Push down the drum while rotating it counterclockwise until the ” on the food chute aligns with ion the Housing. You will hear a clicking sound when the drum is correctly fastened.

  2. Place the auger into the drum.

  3. Insert the filter into the drum.

  4. Place the protection cap onto the drum end and rotate the cap counterclockwise.

  5. Attach the tray onto the upper end of the food chute.

  6. Place Juice Container and Pulp Container under the drum.

  7. Connect the slow juicer to the power supply. Make sure the Sow Juicer is turned off.

  8. Remove all hard parts, seeds, skin and shells, and cut the ingredients in small parts. Make sure that the parts fit down the food shute, to avoid blockages. Store the ingredients on the tray.

  9. Turn the knob and choose the desired setting: Clockwise:

    • Hard-for hard fruit and vegetables

    • Soft-for soft fruit and vegetables
      Counterclockwise:

    • Reverse (Rev)
      Do not use the machine for more than 10 minutes at a time. Do not touch the machine with wet hands.

  10. Put the pieces of ingredients into the Feed chute and push them down the drum gently with the pusher. Make sure that you don’t press down too hard. Keep your hands away from the auger. Turn the machine off when the juice or pulp containers are full. Wait until the auger has stopped turning before removing the juice and pulp container. Wait until there is no more juice coming out of the Slow Juicer and unplug the machine.

  11. Wait until the auger has stopped turning before removing the juice and pulp containers. Make sure to drink the juice directly Both the juice and the pulp have a limited expiration date.

  12. Remove the pusher and the tray. Push down the locking button and turn the drum clockwise to remove it.

  13. First remove the drum, then remove the protection cap, the filter and the auger.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Clean the different parts after every use. Make sure that the machine is turned off and the plug is removed from the power socket before cleaning the parts. Clean the power base with a clean, damp cloth and dry it thoroughly. Do NOT immerse the power base in water. The juice and pulp containers are dishwasher proof. The drum, the protection cap, the filter and the auger can be hand washed using lukewarm water and a mild detergent.

Storage

Store the Slow Juicer in a clean and dry place. Do not store the device in extreme high or extreme low temperatures.

Disposal – Recycle
  • Contribute to a cleaner living environment! Do not dispose of the Slow Juicer with the household waste.

  • Kitchen Brothers provides a 2 year warranty on its products. To obtain service during the warranty period, the product needs to be returned with a proof of purchase. Product defects have to be reported within 2 years from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover: damages caused by misuse or incorrect repair; parts subject to wear; defects that the customer was aware of at the time of purchase; damages or defects caused by customer neglect; damages or defects caused by third parties.
