Service and warranty
If you need service or information regarding your product, please contact our
customer service at service@kitchenbrothers.nl. We provide a 2-year warranty
on our products. Customer must be able to show proof of purchase when claiming
warranty. Product defects must be reported to us within 2 years from the date
of purchase. Please note that the warranty does not apply: for damage caused
by improper use or repair; for parts subject to wear and tear; for defects
known to the customer at the time of purchase; for defects caused by the
customer’s own fault, for damage caused by third parties.

or in the summer. The supplier is released from liability for any injury or

Before use, read the manual and safety information carefully. The supplier is
not responsible for failure to follow the safety information on the use and
handling of the product or damage to property or personal injury. Always
observe the following precautions when using ‘the Ice Cube Maker Easy Clean
2.1L’, hereinafter referred to as ‘the product’.
General
- If this is your first time using the product, it is important to read the manual and instructions carefully.
- If the product is malfunctioning, dropped or damaged, do not use the product and consult our customer service.
- Before each use, check the parts and accessories for any damage or wear (cracks/ breakage) that may adversely affect performance and, if so, replace them with original or manufacturer-recommended parts and accessories.
- Do not use accessories not offered by the supplier. They may pose a danger to the user and damage the product.
- Use the product only for the purposes indicated in this manual.
- Do not disassemble, repair or restore the product. Doing so may cause damage to the product. For your own safety, these parts should only be replaced by authorized service personnel. Always send the product to a service center for repairs to prevent damage and personal injury.
- Be aware of the risks and consequences associated with improper use of the product. Misuse of the product may result in personal injury and damage to the product.
- Before first use, remove all packaging material and any stickers.
- Keep the product away from heat, areas where the temperature is relatively high, and heat sources such as ovens.
- If the product is left empty for a long time, turn it off, defrost, clean, dry and leave the lid open to prevent mold from developing inside the product.
- Do not store explosive substances such as aerosols containing flammable propellant near or inside the product.
- The lid and reservoir should be carefully cleaned according to the cleaning instructions in this manual. They are not dishwasher safe and must not be cleaned under running water, immersion, partial immersion or strong wetting. Water must not penetrate the housing. This may cause damage to the product.
- The refrigerant isobutane (R-600a) is in the product’s refrigeration circuit. This is a natural gas with a high degree of environmental compatibility, yet it is flammable.
- After unpacking and before switching on, the product should be placed on a flat surface for 24 hours. This will allow the cooling circuit oil to return to its intended location in the circuit.
- Place the product at least 15 centimeters away from surrounding surfaces, especially combustible materials, such as textiles, bedding, curtains, plastic, electrical POWER carriers, wood, etc.
- Provide free space around the motor housing. Keep the vents of the motor housing free of dust and lint to prevent fire, never expose them to liquids or flammable materials such as newspapers, napkins, tea towels, etc.
- Always keep the product upright during transportation and during use. The product should always be used without tilting or laying on its side.
- The product is not intended for storing or keeping food cold.
- The product is only suitable for indoor use. Do not use the product outdoors. Doing so may result in damage to the product.
- Do not use the product in temperatures above 40˚C. For best results, the indoor temperature should be between 15˚C and 32˚C and the water temperature between 10˚C and 20˚C.
- The product does not work as a freezer. The ice cubes will melt if you leave them in the product too long. Use the ice cubes immediately or put them in a freezer bag and put them in the freezer.
- Pay attention to the temperature of the water you add. If you add hot water, the first few rounds will be slightly less effective. After one or two rounds, the water temperature will drop and everything will return to normal.
- Place on your countertop in a cool and ventilated place. This will significantly improve the production capacity of ice cubes. The operation of the product varies with water temperature and ambient temperature. If the ambient temperature is too high, you can close the lid to keep the ice cubes at temperature.
- Using pure or distilled water will make the ice cubes more transparent.
- When the lid is closed, it is not secured.
- For hygiene reasons, the product should be cleaned regularly. Always unplug and turn off the product before cleaning.
- Do not use (highly) flammable cleaning agents to clean the product. These agents can cause explosive gases or fire.
- If you are not using the product for a long period of time, remove the drain plug from the product and drain the remaining water.
- The product is not dishwasher safe.
Persons
- This product may be used by children 8 years of age and older, provided that they are properly instructed and informed as to the safe use of the product and understand its potential hazards.
- The product may be used by people with physical or mental disabilities, provided that they are properly supervised and instructed in the safe use of the product and understand its potential hazards.
- Keep the product and cord out of the reach of children and pets. To avoid electric shock, do not allow pets or small children to chew on the power cord. Do not allow children to play with the product.
- The product contains R600a refrigerant. Escaping refrigerant may cause injury, burns and suffocation. Immediately ventilate the area where the product is located in case of possible refrigerant escape.
- Consult a doctor immediately if the refrigerant comes into contact with the body.
Use
- Set the product upright for at least 24 hours before using it.
- Do not cover the product when it is on. Never place pillows or blankets on or against the product. This may cause a fire hazard, electric shock, personal injury or damage to the product.
- Do not use the product near a bathtub, shower, swimming pool, or near a bowl or laundry tub filled with water. Do not touch the product and power cord with wet hands. Do not allow the product to come into contact with water.
- Always place the product on a level, stable and non-flammable surface.
- Use the product only in protected places or away from weather conditions.
- Make sure the ventilation system is not blocked when the product is on. This may lead to overheating. Keep at least 15 cm space around the ventilation grid.
- Keep ventilation openings that are built in free of obstacles. This includes, dust, sand, earth, plants or similar obstacles. Failure to do so may result in a fire hazard, personal injury or damage to the product.
- When the product is on, (hot) air comes out of the ventilation system. Keep your face and hands away from this ventilation system.
- Do not touch the product with wet hands, this may cause shock or other personal injury.
- Use the product within the specified environmental parameters and away from flammable gases, vapors and solvents.
- Never use the product in a location with explosion hazard.
- Do not use the product if the water tank is empty. This may cause damage to the heating elements.
- Keep the product away from extreme heat sources or direct sunlight.
- Do not put anything on top of the product.
- Do not allow liquids to spill on the product to preserve its service life.
- Fill the water tank only with clean tap water. Do not use sparkling water or other liquids. This may cause damage to the product.
- Never use the product with liquids other than water such as coffee, tea or alcohol.
Electronics
- If the power fails during use, turn off the product immediately and unplug the product.
- If the surface of the product is cracked, turn off the product to avoid electric shock.
- Check both power cord and plug regularly for signs of damage or wear, and if there is any, do not use the product and have the power cord and/or plug replaced or repaired by authorized service personnel.
- Do not immerse the product, power cord or plug in water. If water does get inside or on the product, turn the product off immediately and contact our customer service department.
- Use and store the product so that the cables cannot be damaged.
- To avoid electric shock, do not use the product if you suspect the power cord or plug is damaged. A damaged power cord or plug should be repaired or replaced by a professional (an authorized distributor).
- Do not unplug the product by pulling the power cord. This may cause fire or electric shock.
- If black smoke comes out of the product, unplug the product immediately. Wait until the smoke is gone before removing the contents of the product and contact our customer service department.
- Do not leave the cable(s) hanging over the edge of a table or countertop.
- Do not place the cable(s) on hot surfaces or near oil.
- Do not tuck the cable(s) under rugs or blankets. Never lay the cable(s) in a walkway.
- Do not move the product by pulling the cord or twist the cord.
- Before connecting the product, make sure that the mains voltage indicated on the rating plate matches that of your mains supply.
- Make sure that you do not trip over the cord(s) and that the cord(s) are not kinked, twisted, or stuck.
- Do not move the product while it is on. Always turn the product off before moving or cleaning it.
- Do not use mechanical or other means to speed up the defrosting process other than those recommended by the supplier.
- Never leave the product unattended when in use.
- Turn off the product before going to sleep due to fire hazard and risk of personal injury. The product does not have an automatic timer or shutdown.
- Be careful not to damage the cooling circuit. This may cause damage to the product and cause it to stop working.
- Do not use an extension cord. Make sure the product is plugged into an outlet that has no other appliances connected to it.
- The product is not suitable to be operated via an external timer or a separate remote control.
- The product should only be connected to a grounded 220-240V outlet.
- Unplug and turn off the product when not in use and before cleaning the product.
- Do not use the product near devices that may cause electromagnetic interference (e.g. cell phones in communication, microwave ovens). This may cause the product to not work accurately.
- Should the system that controls the internal temperature fail, the overheating protection will automatically turn on and the product will stop functioning. Unplug the product, let it cool down completely and restart the product.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ATTENTION!
- The product contains refrigerant. Never tilt the product more than 45° and let it stand upright for 24 hours after transportation before using it.
- On first use or if the product has not been used for a long time, discard the ice cubes from the first 4 cycles.
Installation
- Place the product on a flat and stable surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Clean the product according to the instructions in 5.1.
- Plug the product into a properly installed, grounded outlet to which no other appliances are connected.
Operation
- Open the lid and remove the ice cube container.
- Pour cold potable water into the water container. Note: Do not exceed the MAX mark of the water level. If the water in the reservoir touches the bottom of the ice cube container, the ice cubes will melt faster.
- Replace the ice cube container and check that the water level is below the bottom of the basket.
- Close the lid.
- Plug in the power cord. The product is in standby mode and the ICE-MAKING indicator light blinks green.
- Press POWER to start a cycle. The product automatically starts making large ice cubes and the indicator light ICE-MAKING shows a steady green color.
- To make small ice cubes, press and hold the POWER button for 3 seconds during the cycle. The indicator light ICE-MAKING will turn orange and the product will start making small ice cubes on the next cycle. To make large ice cubes again, press and hold the POWER button for 3 seconds during the cycle. The indicator light ICE-MAKING will turn green again and the product will start making large ice cubes on the next cycle. The product has a memory function that remembers the choice of small or large ice cubes after turning off.
- To interrupt a cycle between cycles, briefly press POWER.
- After use, open the drain plug under the product and drain the water from the product on a suitable surface.
- Then dry the product thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth and let it air dry.
Tipps for use
- Using pure or distilled water is recommended to make more transparent ice cubes and extend the life of the product.
- Place the product on your countertop in a cool and ventilated place. This will significantly improve the production capacity of ice cubes.
- Change the water in the water reservoir at least every 24 hours. This will prevent blockages in the machine.
- Pay attention to the temperature of the water you add. If you add water that is too warm, the first few rounds will be slightly less effective at making ice cubes. After one or two rounds, the water temp will drop and production will improve.
- When the ambient temperature is too high, you can close the lid to keep the ice cubes at temperature.
- Ice cubes cannot be kept in the product for a long time. To prevent the ice cubes from melting, place them in the freezer. If necessary, store the ice cubes in a freezer bag in the freezer so they are easier to get rid of.
- ADD WATER: If there is not enough water in the machine, the machine will automatically turn off and the ADD WATER indicator light will flash. Refill water in the water tank to the MAX line.
- ICE FULL: When the ice cube container is full, the ICE FULL indicator light comes on. Remove the ice cubes from the basket, put the basket back and start again.
- Note : The indicator light does not work properly when direct sunlight is shining on it.
TROUBLESHOOTING

The ice cubes are too long in the machine.| Pause the machine, remove the ice
cubes and make smaller ice cubes (SMALL).
The ice cubes are too small or too thin.| The ambient temperature is too high
and/or the water in the container is too hot.| The ambient temperature must be
between 15°C and 32°C. Water temperature must be between 10°C and 20°C.

During the first three cycles, the ice cubes are often thinner because the
water has not yet reached the correct temperature.| This is normal. If
necessary, use only the ice cubes made from the third cycle.
The product works but no ice cubes are made.| Coolant is leaking.| Have the
appliance checked by qualified service personnel. Ventilate the room
immediately and do not touch the liquid.
The cooling system pipes are blocked.| Have the appliance checked by qualified
service personnel.
The appliance does not stop when the ice cube container is full.| Direct
sunlight is shining on the sensor for ICE FULL.| Move the appliance to a place
where there is no direct sunlight.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before first use
Before first use and if the product has not been used for a long time, the
product should be cleaned thoroughly:
- Unplug it from the power outlet.
- Make a disinfecting solution with water and vinegar or citric acid (ratio: 10:1).
- Wipe the inside, including the freezing element.
- Add cold water and turn on the product. Run a few cycles. Caution: Discard the ice cubes from the first four cycles, they cannot be used!
- Open the drain plug under the product and drain the water out of the product on a suitable surface.
- Reattach the drain plug securely in place.
- Thoroughly dry the inside and outside of the product with a soft, clean cloth.
Self-cleaning program
Clean the product regularly to ensure productivity and extend its service
life:
- Plug in the power cord and press POWER. The product goes into standby mode and the ICE-MAKING indicator light flashes.
- Press and hold the POWER button for 10 seconds.
- All indicators flash and the self-cleaning program begins. To stop the program halfway through, press POWER again.
- After about 15 minutes, the self-cleaning program is over. The product returns to standby mode.
- Remove the plug from the power outlet.
- Open the drain plug under the product and drain the water out of the product on a suitable surface.
- Reattach the drain plug securely in place.
- Clean the exterior and accessories with a damp cloth and neutral detergent.
- Thoroughly dry the inside and outside with a soft, clean cloth.
STORAGE
ATTENTION!
- It is important to dry the inside of the product well with a soft cloth after use and before storage (through the front and back cover) and to let it air dry as much as possible.
- Unplug the product and clean and dry it thoroughly. Store the product in a dry, clean place, not in extremely high or low temperatures.
DISPOSAL AND RECYCLE
Think about the environment and contribute to a cleaner living environment!
You can contact your local council for all information on disposal options for
discarded products.
Disposal
At the end of its life, do not dispose of the product with normal household
waste, but hand it in at a government designated collection point for
recycling. Dispose of the packaging and accessories in accordance with the
environmental regulations in force in your local council. Pay attention to the
symbols on the different packaging materials and – if necessary – dispose of
them separately. The packaging materials are marked with letters and numbers:
1-7: plastic, 20-22: paper and cardboard, 80-98 composite materials.
Electric appliance
The symbol shown here with the crossed-out garbage can indicates that this
product is subject to European Directive (EU) 2012/19/EU. This directive
states that at the end of its service life, you must not dispose of this
product with normal household waste, but hand it in at a government designated
collection point for recycling.
Refrigerant
This product contains the refrigerant R600a. The system is hermetically
sealed. The refrigerant must be disposed of without damage according to the
regulations of your local council. If in doubt, contact your local council.
