Intended Use
This appliance is intended exclusively for boiling water. Do not use the appliance for boiling other fluids. This appliance is intended solely for use in private households. It is not suitable for commercial use. This appliance is intended only for private use in indoor, dry spaces. It must not be used outdoors. The appliance may only be used with original accessories. It should not be used by unattended children or people who require constant supervision due to limited dexterity. The base is not intended to be wet.

General
- Be aware of the risks and consequences of using, cleaning, and maintaining the Glass Kettle.
- Incorrect usage, cleaning, or maintenance can result in personal injury or destruction of the appliance.
- Use the Glass Kettle indoors only and for purposes described in this user manual.
- If the Glass Kettle malfunctions, is dropped, or (appears to be) damaged in any manner, do NOT use the Glass Kettle and contact Customer Service.
- The Glass Kettle is designed and intended for private, non-commercial use only.
- The Glass Kettle is only intended for household and similar environments such as:
- staff kitchen areas;
- shops;
- farmhouses;
- by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments;
- offices and other working environments.
- The Glass Kettle may only be used to boil water. The appliance is NOT suitable for boiling other liquids.
- Use cold tap water only. NEVER use carbonated water.
- Make sure there is enough space around the appliance for the heat to escape and for sufficient ventilation.
- The lid of the Glass Kettle must be closed during use. When the lid is not properly closed, the steam cutoff will not work.
- Only use the base supplied by KitchenBrothers and NEVER take the kettle off the base when it is switched on.
- Do NOT leave the Glass Kettle unattended when in use. When you are not using the Glass Kettle, turn the device off and disconnect the device from the power socket.
Persons
- The Glass Kettle can be used by children if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance safely and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are supervised.
- The Glass Kettle can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance safely and understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance. Keep and use the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
Use
- Do NOT use the Glass Kettle in or near a bath, shower, swimming pool, or basin filled with water.
- Do NOT operate the device with damp or wet hands, and do NOT touch the power cord with damp or wet hands. Make sure that the base does not come into contact with water. Do NOT submerge the base in water. If water does get on or inside the base, turn the Glass Kettle off immediately and contact our customer service.
- Never fill the Glass Kettle while it is connected to the base.
- Make sure that water cannot get into the connection points of the power cord or the extension cord.
- Place the appliance on a stable, level, and spatter-free heat-resistant surface. Do NOT place the Glass
- Kettle on hot surfaces or near open flames or flammable materials.
- Keep the Glass Kettle away from moisture, heat, and in or close to areas where the surrounding temperature is relatively hot (e.g. stoves or other sources of heat).
- Steam may come out of the spout or the lid. Do not open the lid when the kettle is on. Be careful when handling hot water and steam to avoid burns.
- The water in the kettle is hot! Be careful when pouring it out.
- Only use the handle to move the Glass Kettle. Do not touch the hot parts.
- Do NOT cover the Glass Kettle when it is switched on. Never put objects on top of or against the Glass Kettle. This poses a risk of fire, electric shock or injury.
- Make sure the water level is always between the minimum and maximum markings (on the inside) before switching on the Glass Kettle. If you exceed the maximum water level, the kettle will boil over and hot water could be forcefully sprayed over the edge.
- Do NOT move the kettle when it is in use.
- Do not put objects into the openings of the Glass Kettle.
Electronics
- Do NOT reconstruct, repair or disassemble the Glass Kettle. This can damage the device. For safety reasons, these parts may only be replaced by authorized service personnel. In order to prevent hazards, always send the Glass Kettle to the service center for repairs.
- Make sure your outlet supplies the correct power voltage to avoid damage to the Glass Kettle.
- Always check the power cord and plug before using the Glass Kettle. Do NOT operate the Glass Kettle with a damaged cord or plug. A damaged cord or plug must be replaced by a qualified person in order to avoid damages and personal injuries.
- Do NOT disconnect the Glass Kettle from its power supply by pulling the cable.
- Do NOT carry or pull the device by its cable.
- Make sure that you do NOT trip over the cable. The cable should not be kinked, trapped or twisted. Do not place the cable on hot surfaces or in oil. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter.
- Always unroll the power cord and extension cord (when applicable) fully.
- Unplug the Glass Kettle before cleaning or servicing the unit.
- NEVER operate the Glass Kettle by means of an external time switch or a separate remote control system.
Receiving Your Shipment
When receiving your shipment, make sure that the contents are consistent
with the packing list. Notify your distributor of any missing items. If the
equipment appears to be damaged, file a claim immediately with the carrier and
notify your distributor at once, giving a detailed description of any damage.
Save the damaged packing container to substantiate your claim.

Operating Instructions

Before First Use
We recommend cleaning the Electric Kettle when you use it for the first
time. Fill up the Kettle completely with water, boil the water and then
discard it. Repeat a second time.
How to Use
- Place the kettle on a flat, dry, non-slip surface.
- Remove the kettle from its base.
- Press the button to lift the lid of the kettle. Fill the kettle with water. Make sure you stay above the min-limit (0.5 L) and below the max-limit (1.7).
- Unroll the cable completely and put the kettle down on its base. Connect the plug in the socket.
- Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the kettle and boil the water. The indicator light will turn on when you turn the kettle on.
- When the water is boiling, the kettle will automatically switch off and the indicator light will go out.
- Remove the plug from the wall socket. Make sure the lid is closed when pouring the water.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and cool it down completely before cleaning.
- Never immerse the Glass Kettle, power cord, or power base in water, or allow moisture to come into contact with the power cord or power base.
- Wipe the body with a damp cloth or mild cleaner, never use a poisonous cleaner. Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of the kettle to prevent gloss loss.
- When not in use, the power cord can be stored at the bottom of the appliance.
Removal of Mineral Deposits
Your Glass Kettle should be periodically descaled, as the mineral deposits in tap water may form a scale at the bottom of the Kettle. You can use the commercially available descaler and follow the instructions on the package of descaler. Alternatively, you may follow the below instructions to use the white vinegar.
- Fill the kettle with 0,5 L vinegar, then add 1 L water. Leave the solution in the kettle for an hour.
- Discard the vinegar, fill the kettle with clean water, boil the water and then discard the water. Repeat this routine several times until the odor of the vinegar has been flushed away. Any stains remaining inside the spout can be removed by rubbing it with a damp cloth.
Storage
Store the Glass Kettle in a clean and dry place. Do not store the device in
extremely high or extremely low temperatures.
Disposal – Recycle
Contribute to a cleaner living environment! Do not dispose of the Glass Kettle with the household waste. For proper recycling, please contact your local authority or your household waste disposal service for further details on your nearest designated collection point.
