3.2 Connecting the gas cylinder
Note
◊ To use the product correctly, you need a precision-filled standard G30/G31 gas cylinder with external valve thread. Use a standard flexible hose less than 1.5m in length. The hose should be easily visible along its entire length for inspection after installation.
ATTENTION!
◊ You must have the proper regulator and gas cylinder to operate the product safely and efficiently. Using an incorrect or defective pressure regulator is dangerous and will void the warranty.

  1. Before connecting, check that no debris is stuck in the gas cylinder head, control valve head or in the burner head and burner ports.
  2. Connect the gas line to the gas cylinder by turning the knob clockwise as far as it will go.

3.3 Disconnecting the gas cylinder

  1. Make sure the gas cylinder valve is set to “CLOSED” before disconnecting.
  2. Disconnect the gas line from the gas cylinder by turning the knob counterclockwise until it is loose.
  3. After connecting to the gas cylinder, a gas leak test is required.

ATTENTION!
◊ When changing the gas cylinder, make sure you stay away from ignition sources.
3.4 Gas leak test
ATTENTION!
◊ Perform this only from a well-ventilated area.

  1. Check that all burner knobs on the product are in the off position.
  2. Open the gas valve on the gas cylinder. Check for leaks by brushing soap solution over all gas system connections with a brush, including all valve connections, hose connections and regulator connections.
  3. If bubbles form on any of the connections, there is a leak.
  4. Turn off the gas supply and retighten the connection.
  5. Repeat the test.
  6. If bubbles form again, stop trying; contact your local salesperson for assistance.

ATTENTION!
◊ NEVER use an open flame to check for leaks.
◊ Perform a gas leak test annually and whenever the mesh bottle is removed or replaced.
◊ Always make sure the gas cylinder is properly connected to prevent fire and explosion hazards.
◊ Do not place the gas cylinder in the storage compartment under the grill. Place the gas cylinder as far as possible from the burners when they are on.
3.5 Before use

  • Before proceeding, check that you have assembled the product correctly according to the instructions.
  • Use the product at least 1 meter away from a wall or surface.
  • Never use the product in a building, garage, shed, drafty porch or other enclosed area.
  • Never obstruct ventilation around the product enclosure.
  • Inspect the gas supply hose before turning on the gas.
  • If there are signs of cut, wear or abrasion, replace the hose before use.
  • Check for leaks before use.
  • Do not use the product if a gas smell is present.

3.6 How to use
To prevent food from sticking to the grill, apply a thin layer of cooking or vegetable oil with a long-handled brush before each preparation.

  1. Open the lid.

  2. Make sure all burner knobs are in the off position.

  3. Connect the gas cylinder to the gas hose. Tighten it securely so that no gas can escape.

  4. Open the gas cylinder.

  5. Turn the desired burner knob(s) open counterclockwise and press the ignition button repeatedly until the burner flame is on.
NOTE: If the burner flame does not come on within 5 seconds, turn the burner knob to the off position and wait at least 5 minutes before trying again.
Otherwise, you risk a stabbing flame from the escaping gas.

  6. Adjust the flame by turning the burner knob.

  7. Place the food on the grill rack.

  8. When you have finished cooking the food, turn the burner knob closed.

Note
◊ Close the lid to cook the food covered.
◊ Turn the food in time so that the food does not burn.
◊ When you use the product for the first time, the color of the coating may change slightly, this is normal.
◊ A 160-240 mm pan is recommended for the wok burner.
3.7 Manual ignition
If the burner still does not light after several attempts, try the manual ignition procedure below:

  1. Open the lid.
  2. Make sure all burner knobs are in the off position.
  3. Slowly turn on the gas at the valve or regulator of the gas cylinder if it is not already on.
  4. Ignite a long match and carefully insert it into the grill grate.
  5. Carefully turn the burner knob open.
  6. If the burner flame does not burn within 5 seconds, turn the burner knob to the off position and wait 5 minutes before trying again.
  7. When the burner flame burns, turn the burner knob to the desired heat setting.

3.8 After use

  1. After each cooking, turn the burners to the highest setting and let them burn for 5 minutes.
    • This procedure will burn cooking residues, making cleaning easier. Make sure the lid is open during this procedure.

  2. Then turn all burners fully clockwise to the off position and shut off the gas on the gas cylinder.

  3. Wait for the barbecue to cool sufficiently before closing the lid.

3.9 Tips

  • Use the warming rack to keep prepared foods warm, toast bread or prepare delicate foods in aluminum foil.
  • Use the wok burner like a normal stove for cooking, baking or roasting.
  • To avoid a stinging flame, keep the grill grate clean, use only meats and do not cook at very high temperatures.
  • Place delicate foods, such as fish and vegetables, in aluminum foil trays and place directly on the warming rack. Turn the burner knob(s) to the highest setting.
  • Use long-handled tongs or a spatula instead of a fork to avoid losing natural juices and only turn the food once during cooking.
  • Use a pan with water to prevent a stinging flame and cook meat. Before you get started, remove the grates and place the full, thin pan directly on the heating plates. Half fill the pan with water, fruit juice or other flavored liquids. Replace the grates and place the food on them.
  • Rotisseries, grill baskets, vertical poultry holders and other accessories enhance your cooking experience, reduce cooking time and help with cleanup.
