Installation Instructions

GRID INSTALLATION
Install the luminaire by placing it in the ceiling grid location as shown in Figures 1.1 and 1.2.

WIRING

Make supply connections through the access plate provided at the top of the luminaire. Wires are attached to the access plate for line (black), neutral (white), and ground (green) as shown in Figure 2.

Note: For fixtures with the LVC/LVD option, there will be additional wire connections required for the low-voltage controller function. The number of additional wire connections depends on the configuration of the luminaire (i.e., the number of circuits connected to the low-voltage controller). Wire colors could be a combination of the following: RED, BLUE, BLACK, and BROWN. For the LVC there will be a black & brown wire with no quick disconnect. For the LVD, all (4) colors may be present and will be identified as follows:

  • AMBIENT (Circuit A)
  • EXAM (Circuit B)
  • NIGHT LIGHT
  • READING LIGHT

The manufacturer spec sheet for each controller will be provided for additional explanation of the LVC/LVD functions.

THERMAL PROTECTOR INSTALLATION

  • Identify thermal protectors on one side of the fixture (Figure 3.1), remove split ring bushing and discard (Figure 3.2), and push thermal protector in the hole until it snaps into place (Figure 3.3).
