Installation
Preparing to mount housing to the ceiling
- Turn OFF the main power at the circuit breaker before the installation.
- Locate the electric power supply junction box that is being used for this installation.
- Ensure that the center knock out on the housing (B) will be aligned with the junction box.
- Mark 2 screw hole locations on the ceiling, 41 5/8in. apart. Drill two holes in the ceiling at the marked locations. Install an anchor (AA) in each of the drilled mounting holes.
- Insert screw (BB) through gasket (CC), tighten each screw leaving a small distance (1/2in.) away from the ceiling.
Removing the diffuser from the housing
- Press down on the end of the diffuser (A) opposite of the end cap with the motion sensor.
- There is a tab that the diffuser has to slide underneath to allow it to be removed.
- Slide the diffuser (A) toward the end being pressed down opposite the end cap with the motion sensor. Lift the diffuser (A) from the side with the motion sensor to remove the diffuser.
Accessing the Wires
- Once the diffuser is removed, disconnect the sensor terminal as shown bleow. Figure 1.
- Locate the metal terminal cover split into two parts in the middle of the housing. Figure 2.
- Start by removing the metal cover on the opposite side of the motion sensor that covers the LED Driver, by pushing down and pulling it apart from the center, then lift on the end closest to the end cap. Repeat this step on the remaining cover. Figure 3. For direct wire connection, before connecting to the power supply wires, insert the two extension wires: Black – L wire (EE) and White – N wires (FF) into the 2 pin terminal located in the middle of the housing. Figure 4.
Selecting the CCT and Lumens
- This product includes the feature to select the color temperature (CCT) and brightness level (lumens) at the point of installation. Locate the CCT switch on the side of the housing. Move the switch to the desired CCT: 3000K (warm white), 4000K (cool white), or 5000K (daylight).
- Locate the lumen select switch on the side of the housing. Move the switch to the desired lumen selection: 4500, 6000, or 7500 lumens.
Installing the housing
- Please ensure to turn OFF the main power at the circuit breaker before connecting the wires.
- Place a screwdriver on center of slot and gently strike with hammer to remove the knock out cover from the center of the housing. Locate the two key holes on the housing on each end.
- Place one side of the housing key hole on the mounting screw previously installed on the ceiling from step 1. Repeat with the other side.
- Slide the housing in place until it is secure.
- Feed the electric power supply wires through the knock out hole.
- Tighten the mounting screws to secure the housing to the ceiling.
Connecting the wires
- Identify the wiring located inside of the housing: (black – line voltage, white – neutral, green – ground, and 0-10V dimming wires, purple – Dim (+) and pink – Dim (-) Figure 1.
- Feed the wires from the housing through the center knock out and.
- Connect the Black (L), White (N) and Green (G) wires from the fixture to their corresponding wires from the junction box using Wire Nuts (DD).
- If a 0-10v dimming circuit is available, using a wire cutter splice the purple and pink wires to expose the wiring.
- Connect the purple and pink wires from the fixture to the same color wires in the electrical box.
- If 0-10v dimming is not desired, wrap the ends of the purple and pink wires with electrical tape (not included) to cover the wire. Position the connected wires back into the junction box.
NOTE : If the sensor terminal is disconnected, connect the two ends together to have full operation of the motion sensor. Figure 2.
Installing the diffuser
- Reinstall the 2 metal terminal covers removed in step 3 to the housing over the wires.
- Ensure the metal covers are snapped in place.
- Reinstall the diffuser to the housing by inserting one side into the end cap opposite of the motion sensor until it can no longer slide in that direction.
- Then slide the diffuser in the opposite direction to tightly secure in place.
- Restore power to the electrical box.
- Turn on the light switch to activate the fixture.
NOTE : Be careful not to pinch wires while reinstalling the metal covers.
Linking feature
- Follow above all steps for one fixture to receive direct wire power. Only follow the step 1,2,4,7 to install other linkable fixtures to receive power through the linking cable.
- Remove the silicone stopper from the side of the housing.
- Utilize the linkable wire (GG) to connect Fixture 1 motion sensor end cap side to Fixture 2 end cap without the motion sensor side. Connect the female connector (square) side of the linkable wire (GG) to the male silicone stopper (square) side of the Fixture 1. Figure 1. Then plug in the male connector of linkable wire (GG) and into the female silicone stopper side of the Fixture 2. Figure 2.
NOTE : Maximum 6 units can be linked. Maintain a distance of 5in.
- 10in. distance between units while linked.
Motion Sensor Operation
- After turning on the fixture for the first time, the motion sensor will activate by triggering the light to come on 3-5 seconds and then turn off. If motion is detected at this time, the light will remain on.
- Motion Sensor Override, if the motion sensor is not needed, the sensor can be deactivated by disconnecting the sensor terminal as shown below. Ensure the power is turned off before removing sensor terminal.
Dimmer Compatibility
- Lutron : NTSTV-DV-WH, DVSCTV-SW.
- Leviton : DS710-10Z, IP710-DLZ, IP710-LPZ.
- Eaton : DF10P-C1, SF10P – W.
Care & Cleaning
CAUTION : Before attempting to clean the fixture, disconnect the power to the fixture by turning the breaker off or removing the fuse from the fuse box.
- Clean the fixture with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use cleaners with chemicals, solvents, or harsh abrasives.
Troubleshooting
