NOTE: Keep your receipt and these instructions for

WARNING: rIsK of ELEcTrIc shocK. Ensure the electricity to the wires you
are working on is shut off. Either remove the fuse or turn off the circuit
breaker before removing an existing light fixture or installing the new one.
If you are unfamiliar with electrical installations, we recommend you contact
a qualified electrician to do the installation.
INSTALLATION
Item # 1000000000/Model # 538661010 can be installed into holes cut in the
drywall that are between 4” and 4 1/3”, 4” is suggested.
Item # 1000000000/Model # 538671010 can be installed into holes cut in the
drywall that are between 6” and 6 1/3”, 6 1/4” is suggested.

Make sure the power is turned off at the source to the location where the LED downlight (A) will be installed.
If InsTALLIng ThE LED DownLIghT (A) In A PrEExIsTIng hoLE:
a. remove the existing can or fixture and set aside since it will not be needed.
b. Measure the ceiling hole to make sure it is the correct size for the fixture.
If InsTALLIng ThE LED DownLIghT (A) In A nEw cEILIng LocATIon:
a. Place the hole template (c) over the desired location and trace the outline with a pencil.
b. cut out the marked opening in the ceiling with a hole saw (not included).
NOTE: 1/2” or 5/8” drywall recommended for easy installation. -
Loosen the quick connects in clockwise directions and detach the quick connects in the fixture body and J-box

Pick up the cover of the driver box as shown below. remove one of the knock out holes on the side of the electrical box (B), based on the installation position. feed the power cord (not included) and all the electrical connection wires through the open knockout hole in the electrical box and tighten the power cord securely.

feed the wires from the electrical source through the open knock out hole in the electrical box (B). Insert the hot, neutral wires from the electrical source into the wire connectors of the black and white wires in the electrical box (B). Insert the ground wire from the electrical source into the wire connectors of the green wire in the electrical box (B). close the electrical box cover.

Place the electrical box (B) through the cut-out hole in the ceiling and position it where desired.
NOTE: The electrical box (B) must be no more than 16 inches from the edgelit downlight based on the length of the connector cables.

Align the male connector from the electrical box (B) into the female connector from the LED downlight (A). Twist the quick connects in counterclockwise direction and lock the quick connects in the fixture body and junction box.

one at a time, flip the spring clips on the LED downlight (A) up and insert into the opening in the ceiling. once both spring clips are inside the cut-out, gently push the LED downlight (A) upward until the trim is flush with the ceiling surface.
NOTE: select the preferred color temperature of the light before inserting the LED downlight (A) into the ceiling opening. -
Restore power at the electrical panel.
Turn on the light switch to activate the fixture.

This downlight allows you to customize the color of the trim: white trim and Black trim (D). hold both sides of the lamp, and remove the white trim as shown below.
NOTE: The product is shipped with the white trim installed on the downlight.
ADJUSTING THE COLOR TEMPERATURE OF THE LIGHT
This LED downlight allows you to customize the color temperature of the light
using five settings from Warm White to Daylight.
- choose your favorite correlated color temperature (ccT) from five options: 2700K Warm White, 3000K Soft White, 3500K Cool White, 4000K Bright White, or 5000K Daylight.
- Move the toggle switch on the fixture body (A) to make your selection before inserting into bracket or ceiling.
NOTE: The factory setting for the correlated color temperature (ccT) is 2700K, which is the warmest white light.
SELECTING DOWNLIGHT Or NIGHTLIGHT MODE
The product can be used in one of two modes: downlight mode, which provides
full brightness and allows selection from five color temperatures, or
nightlight mode.
nighlight mode provides reduced light output at 2000K Amber color temperature
for very soft illumination at night.
To TUrn on ThE MAIn LIghT
- Turn on the light switch to activate the light fixture.
To chAngE To nIghTLIghT MoDE wITh rEDUcED LIghT oUTPUT froM ThE TrIM
- switch the downlight off and back on again within 3 seconds to activate nightlight mode.
NOTE: The main downlight will not provide light output when the nightlight trim is illuminated.

- switch the downlight off and back on again to activate the downlight mode.

CARE AND CLEANING
CAUTION: Before attempting to clean the tube and luminaire/light fixture, disconnect the power to the fixture by turning the breaker off or removing the fuse from the fuse box. clean with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use cleaners with chemicals, solvents, or harsh abrasives. Do not use liquid cleaner on the LEDs, LED driver, or wiring.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Minor problems often can be fixed without the help of an electrician.
WARNING: Before doing any work on the fixture, disconnect power to the
light fixture.

sound.| The dimmer circuit is not compatible with the product.
The dimming circuit is set outside the dimming range of the product.| Check

of compatible dimmers.
Turn or slide the dimmer switch to adjust the light output until the
flickering or buzzing stops.
Out of sync| Slide the dimmer too fast.| Turn off the wall switch for more
than 3 seconds, then turn back on.
The dimmer circuit is not compatible with the product.| Check the product page
at www.HomeDepot.com for a list of compatible
dimmers.

WHAT IS COVERED
The manufacturer warrants this lighting fixture to be free from defects in
materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from date of
purchase. This warranty applies only to the original consumer purchaser and
only to products used in normal use and service. If this product is found to
be defective, the manufacturer’s only obligation, and your exclusive remedy,
is the repair or replacement of the product at the manufacturer’s discretion,
provided that the product has not been damaged through misuse, abuse,
accident, modifications, alterations, neglect, or mishandling.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
This warranty shall not apply to any product that is found to have been
improperly installed, set-up, or used in anyway not in accordance with the
instructions supplied with the product. This warranty shall not apply to a
failure of the product as a result of an accident, misuse, abuse, negligence,
alteration, faulty installation, or any other failure not relating to faulty
material or workmanship. This warranty shall not apply to the finish on any
portion of the product, such as surface and/or weathering, as this is
