IMPORTANT

  1. Spout installs through 1-1/8″ min. dia. hole.
    valves install through 1-1/8″ min. dia. hole.

  2. Maximum hole dia. 1-1/2″.

CAUTION — TIPS FOR REMOVAL OF OLD FAUCET:
Always turn water supply OFF before removing existing faucet or disassembling the valve. Open faucet handle to relieve water pressure and ensure that complete water shut-off has been accomplished.

Assembly

Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to the black rubber O-ring on the spout base (O) as shown. Install into Spout (A).
Assembly

Apply a bead of sealant to the base of the spout. Install Spout (A) into sink deck opening as shown.
Assembly

  1. Install Mounting Bracket (D), Mounting Plate (E) onto shank of Spout Assembly (A) as illustrated above for sink decks less than 1″. Finger tighten bracket and plate with Mounting Nut (F).

  1. Attach Mounting Tool (K) to Mounting Bracket Nut (F) as shown.

  2. Hand tighten nut.
    Assembly

  3. Insert Screwdriver into hole of Mounting Tool (K).

  4. Further tighten Mounting Bracket Nut (F).
    Assembly

Note: Upper Mounting Washer (C) has “UP” for correct installation orientation.
Assembly

Apply sealant into underside groove of Upper Mounting Washers (C) (x2). Flip over to install onto sink deck, right side up with “UP” visible.
Assembly

Insert hot and cold valve bodies (I) and (J) through Mounting Washers (C) as illustrated.
Assembly

Partially install screws from mounting ring into Mounting Ring (H).
Assembly

  1. Slide Mounting Washer (G) and Mounting Ring with screws (H) onto valve body (I) (hot).
  2. Thread Mounting Ring (H) and hand tighten.
    Assembly

Finish tightening with screwdriver. Repeat sequence from steps 10 and 11 for valve body (J) (cold-not shown).

Remove Protective Sleeves (M) from valve bodies (I) (hot) and (J) (cold).
Assembly

Attach Quick Connect Hose (L) to the bottom of the waterway tube.
Push hose (L) up as far as possible, until a “click” is heard. Tug downward to test engagement. If necessary, click button to disengage Hose (L).
Assembly

Install ends of Quick Connect Hose (L) onto each valve body for correct installation orientation as shown with arrow facing up.
Push hose ends up until a “click” is heard. Tug downward to test engagement.

Turn stems of Valve Bodies (I) and (J) to the closed position.

Install faucet handles (B) to valve bodies (I) and (J).
Assembly

Hold lever of handle and tighten base to deck until secure. When handle is flush with deck, rotate approximately quarter turn so the flat faces forward.

For Type A Waste Install: follow steps 18 – 20.
For Type B Waste Install: follow steps 21 – 29.

  1. Clean drain opening in the bottom of the sink.
  2. Place Drain Body (Q) with Gasket (R) into opening of sink.

Install Cone Gasket (S) onto Drain Body (Q). Tighten with Drain Mounting Nut **(T).

  1. Install the Push-Down Drain Plug (P) into the Drain Body (Q).

  2. Press down to actuate the pop-up mechanism. Go to Step 30.
    Assembly

  3. Clean drain opening in the bottom of sink.

  4. Apply a generous amount of sealant to the underside of the Waste Seat (W).
    Assembly

Insert Waste Seat (W) through sink drain opening.
Assembly

Assemble Drain Body (X) to Waste Seat (W). Tighten by hand.
Assembly

  1. Install Lift Rod (U) (for applicable models) through faucet into Lift Rod Strap (CC).
  2. Hand tighten nut of strap.
    Assembly

Ensure pivot rod opening on Drain Body (Q) points toward the faucet and wall as illustrated.
Assembly

  1. Make final tightening of Drain Hex Nut (Z) to Drain Body (Q) with wrench.
  2. Insert Waste Plug (V) into sink opening.

The Pivot Rod (AA) can be installed in two ways. The circle illustration shows the Pivot Rod (AA) next to hole in Waste Plug (V). This allows the Waste Plug (V) to be pulled out for cleaning. Box illustration shows the Pivot Rod (AA) inserted into the hole in the Waste Plug (V). This prevents the Waste Plug (V) from being easily removed after installation. Tighten the Pivot Rod Nut **(DD).

  1. Push Pivot Rod (AA) down.

  2. After clip is placed over closest hole on Lift Rod Strap (CC), squeeze Pivot Rod Clip (BB).

  3. Slide Pivot Rod (AA) through clip and strap holes.
    Assembly

  4. Loosen nut on Lift Rod Strap (CC) to allow Lift Rod (U) to rest in faucet.

  5. Verify Pivot Rod (AA) is still pushed down, and Waste Plug (V) is open in the sink.

  6. Tighten nut with wrench.
    Assembly

Attach flexible supply lines (not included) to valve bodies as shown. Tighten with wrench.
Assembly

Attach other ends of supply lines to stops.

Tighten flexible supply lines to stops with wrench.
Assembly

Turn water on. Installation complete.
Assembly

Follow steps A – D for flushing.

Attach Aerator Tool (N) to aerator from Spout (A) and remove. Set aerator aside for re-installation.
Assembly

Turn handles on and run water for 15 seconds to flush any possible debris.
Turn handles off.
Assembly

Follow steps E – H for flushing for model 84461SRN.

Using Aerator Tool (N), re-install aerator to Spout (A). Finger tighten until aerator is secure.
Assembly

Insert Hex Wrench (EE) into aerator hole. Loosen aerator with hex wrench and remove.
Assembly

Turn on water to flush aerator for 15 seconds.
Assembly

Turn off water.
Assembly

Re-install aerator and tighten with Hex Wrench (EE).

If this product should ever develop a leak or drip during the Warranty Period, Moen will FREE OF CHARGE provide the parts necessary to put the product back in good working condition and will replace FREE OF CHARGE any part or finish that proves defective in material and manufacturing workmanship, under normal installation, use and service. Replacement parts may be obtained by calling 1-800-289- 6636 (Canada 1-800-465-6130), or by writing to the address shown.
Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) from the original consumer purchaser must accompany all warranty claims. Defects or damage caused by the use of other than genuine Moen parts is not covered by this warranty. This warranty is applicable only to products purchased after December, 1995 and shall be effective from the date of purchase as shown on purchaser’s receipt.

This warranty is extensive in that it covers replacement of all defective parts and finishes. However, damage due to installation error, product abuse, product misuse, or use of cleaners containing abrasives, alcohol or other organic solvents, whether performed by a contractor, service company, or yourself, are excluded from this warranty. Moen will not be responsible for labor charges and/ or damage incurred in installation, repair or replacement, nor for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, losses, injury or costs of any nature relating to this product. Except as provided by law, this warranty is in lieu of and excludes all other warranties, conditions and guarantees, whether expressed or implied, statutory or otherwise, including without restriction those of merchantability or of fitness for use.

Some states, provinces and nations do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state, province to province, nation to nation. Moen will advise you of the procedure to follow in making warranty claims.
