Checklist before Installation

  • Please read these instructions carefully to familiarize yourself with the required tools, materials, and installation sequences. This will help you avoid costly mistakes.
  • Confirm that the bathroom wall and floor tiles have been completed and that the installation and debugging of the hidden cistern and accessories have been completed.
  • If you are replacing a new toilet, please pay attention to the status of the existing cistern and accessories. If necessary, please replace them in time.
  • If you replace the toilet with a new one, be sure to turn off the water supply before removing the old product.
  • Before installing the toilet, please confirm that the size and position of the cistern outlet pipe and the reserved sewage outlet on the wall meet the installation requirements.
  • For your personal and property safety, before using the percussion drill to make holes, please make sure that there are no pipelines or wires buried in the wall corresponding to the hole.

  1. Reservation of concealed cistern and sewage pipe.

    • Make sure that the concealed cistern and sewage pipe have been reserved before installing the toilet.
    • The installation of the sewage pipe should comply with the national building water supply and drainage design standards, otherwise, it may affect the use of the product.
    • The concealed cistern needs to be purchased separately, please refer to the corresponding manual for specific installation.
  2. Determine the size of the flush connection pipe and the sewage connection pipe according to the actual situation.

    • Insert the flush connection pipe into the water outlet, and the sewage connection pipe into the sewage outlet, make sure that the insertion depth is sufficient, use a ruler against the wall and mark the connection pipe with a marker.
    • Install the flush connection pipe and the sewage connection pipe to the toilet, and use a ruler and a marker to mark the length of the connection pipe protruding from the toilet.
  3. The distance between the two marks of the flush connection pipe is L1 and the sewage connection pipe is L2; cut off the flush connection pipe at the position L1+3mm from the end of the connection pipe, and cut off the sewage connection pipe at the position L2+3mm from the end of the connection pipe.

    • Use a rasp to repair a small chamfer on the outer edge of the connecting pipe to facilitate subsequent installation.
  4. Cut the embedded bolts so that the length of the exposed wall is 41mm.MOEN-INS12065B-Wall-Hung-Toilet-fig- \(7\)

    • Connect the embedded bolts and the positioning column, and ensure that the notch of the positioning column is horizontally outward, and the distance between the notch and the wall is D=T+15mm.
      NOTE: D and T are the dimensions of the wall and toilet after treatment.
  5. Apply sealant on the inner wall of the sewage pipe and the outlet pipe, and then insert the connecting pipe.
    NOTE: Make sure the seal is intact.

  6. Insert the plastic fastener into the installation hole from the inside of the toilet, insert the plastic washer and hexagonal nut into the threaded shaft of the fastener from the outside, and then tighten it.
    NOTE: The fastener installation holes are aligned with the installation holes on both sides of the toilet.

  7. Align the rear mounting hole of the toilet with the positioning post on the wall insert it, and then use an allen wrench to screw the fastening screws into the mounting holes on both sides. Adjust the level of the toilet and tighten the screws, and apply neutral anti-mould silicone to the edge of the toilet where it contacts the wall to fill in the gaps on the contact surface.
    NOTE: You must first try flushing to make sure that the function is intact and there is no water leakage before locking. Do not overtighten the screws to prevent the ceramic from cracking.

Important Consumer Information
NOTICE: Clean the outside surfaces of your vitreous china fixture with mild soap and warm water. Wipe the entire surface completely dry with a clean, soft cloth. Many cleaners contain harsh chemicals, such as ammonia, which can damage the finish. Do not use those cleaners. The water supply pressure is 0.02Mpa-0.8Mpa; The recommended pressure is 0.05Mpa~0.5Mpa. A protection valve should be equipped if the supply pressure exceeds 0.5Mpa. If the water in the place where you live is hard, keep the flush hole clean to ensure that the toilet flushes normally. Use toilet
cleaner at least once a week. Use a brush with a long handle to clean the flushing hole, and extend it into the drain pipe as much as possible to prevent mineral accumulation. Most toilet cleaners are harmless to the surface of the toilet. Please follow the instructions provided by the cleaner manager- turer carefully.

Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
WARNING: Risk of property or product damage. Do not use in-tank cleaners. Products containing chlorine (calcium hypochlorite) can seriously damage fittings in the tank. This damage can cause leakage and property damage. Moen shall not be responsible or liable for any damage to these tank fittings caused by the use of cleaners containing chlorine (calcium hypochlorite).
CAUTION: Don’t use any cement while installing the toilet. Heat expansion of the toilet may damage the feet of the toilet. Moen will not be responsible for any damage because of using cement.
WARNING: Risk of product damage. Do not throw into the toilet what is easy to block, such as newspaper, paper Pilch, and sanitary towels. Do not bump the vitreous china with great force to prevent it from damaging and leaking. Do not use the product in the water below 0°C.
CAUTION: Please do not use hard materials (like a scouring pad) to clean the product surface, especially the product logo. All information in this instruction sheet is based on the latest product information available at the time of publication. Moen reserves the right to make changes in product characteristics, packaging, or availability at any time without notice.

MOEN LIMITED WARRANTY

We offer a limited warranty and lifetime maintenance for Moen products, which are all manufactured with high standards of workmanship. The period of warranty shall start from the date of purchase of the product according to the invoice or receipt issued by Moen distributors) and shall cover a period of the following: the warranty period for ceramic parts is 5 years old, and non- ceramic parts, such as water fittings, flush valves, toilet seats, etc. is 3 years. This warranty is your coverage against material and workmanship malfunction or defects in Moen products or components (such as shower bar, hose, shower, drain assembly, handle, cover, lift rod, aerator etc.). During the warranty period, we offer free maintenance and changing of malfunctioned products or product components. Moen’s after-sales service liability is limited to the maintenance of faulty items and does not cover your other losses caused by product malfunction, except for those otherwise stipulated by law.

Cosmetic damages (scratches, dents, etc.) and malfunction or defects caused by abuse or improper maintenance are not covered by this warranty. Although the warranty period remains valid, in case of the following conditions (1) – (5), the maintenance cost (material cost and labour cost) shall still be charged as the case may:

  1. The corresponding warranty card and valid invoice cannot be presented;
  2. Faults were caused by incompliance with the instructions and precautions provided in the user’s manual;
  3. Damages and faults were caused by self-actuated dismantling, repair and refit;
  4. Faults and damages were caused by external factors such as force majeure;
  5. Damages were caused by transportation, unloading and extrusion etc.

This warranty is valid for the original consumers only (including hotel use) and excludes industrial and commercial use of the product (except for hotel use). This card is only responsible for product maintenance rather than any other liabilities. If the product requires maintenance but exceeds the warranty period, or if the product is not covered by this warranty, labour costs and material costs shall be charged as the case may be. Please call 400-630-8866 or contact the local dealer for any questions. For markets excluding the Chinese mainland, the terms and conditions of the warranty shall differ between product categories and countries. Please refer to the warranty stated by local distribution. Moen Incorporated shall have the final interpretation of any warranties.
