SAFETY MEASURES
Before using the unit, read this instruction carefully. Keep this instruction for future reference.
Use the unit for intended purposes only, as specified in this manual. Mishandling of the unit may lead to its breakage and cause harm to the user or damage to his/her property.
- Handle the scale with care, as with any other precision instrument, do not subject the scale to high or low temperatures, or high humidity.
- Avoid exposing the scale to direct sunlight and do not drop the scale.
- Use the scale away from heating units.
- Do not use the scale outdoors.
- Avoid getting of liquid into the scale body, this appli-ance is not waterproof. Do not leave or use the scale in a room with high humidity (above 80%), make sure that the scale body does not come into contact with water or other liquids as this may cause the failure of scale indication or its damage.
- Remove the protective film from the scale (if there is any) before use to avoid a static effect.
- Place the scale on a flat, dry and non-slip surface.
- Do not use the scale on carpets or rugs.
- Do not step on the scale with wet feet or if the scale surface is damp. You can slip and get injured.
- Be careful while stepping on the scale: step on the scale first with one foot; make sure that the scale is steady and only then step on it with both feet.
- Step on the scale and dispose of your weight evenly.
- Stand still while weighing. Do not jump on the scale surface.
- For children’s safety reasons do not leave polyethylene bags used as packaging unattended.
Attention!
Do not allow children to play with polyethylene bags or packaging film. The
danger of suffocation!
- Do not leave children unattended to avoid them using the unit as a toy.
- This unit is not intended for usage by children, place the unit away from children.
- The unit is not intended to be used by people with physical, sensory or mental disabilities (including children) or by persons lacking experience or knowledge if they are not under the supervision of a person who is responsible for their safety or if they are not instructed by this person on the usage of the unit.
- If you are not planning to use the scale for a long time, remove the batteries from the battery compartment.
- Strictly follow the polarity according to the markings when installing batteries.
- Replace the batteries in time.
- Do not attempt to repair the unit.
- Do not disassemble the unit by yourself, if any malfunc-tion is detected or after it was dropped, unplug the unit and apply to any authorized service center at the contact addresses given in the warranty certificate and on the website www.vitek.ru.
- To avoid damages, transport the unit in the original package only.
- Keep the unit in a dry cool place out of reach of children and disabled persons.
THIS UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. ITS COMMERCIAL USAGE AND USAGE IN PRODUCTION AR-EAS AND WORK SPACES IS PROHIBITED.
USING THE SCALE
After unit transportation or storage at low temperature keep it for at least three hours at room temperature before switching it on.
- Unpack the scale, and remove any advertising stickers that can prevent the unit’s operation.
- Clean the scale with a soft, slightly damp cloth and then wipe it dry.
Battery installation
- Open the battery compartment lid (4) and insert 2 «AAA» batteries (supplied with the unit), strictly following the polarity.
- Place the battery compartment lid (4) back to its place.
Battery replacement
- When the battery is low, the symbol «Lo» will appear on the display (2).
- Open the battery compartment lid (4), replace the old batteries with 2 new «¡¡¡» batteries, strictly following the polarity, then close the battery compartment lid (4).
Batteries leakage can cause injuries or the unit damage. To avoid unit damage, follow the instructions given below:
- use only the “AAA” batteries;
- do not use old and new batteries at the same time or different types of batteries;
- do not recharge the batteries;
- insert the batteries strictly following the polarity;
- remove the batteries if you are not planning to use the unit for a long time;
- replace the batteries in time.
- apply to specialized centers for further recycling of the batteries;
- avoid the power nippers circuit.
- If you are not using the scale for a long time, remove the batteries from the battery compartment.
Weight measurement unit selection
The weight measurement unit selection button (3) is located on the bottom of
the scale.
Press button (3) to select the weight measurement units stones, kilograms or
pounds, the symbols (6, 7, 8) «St, lb, kg» will be shown on the display (2).
Weight measurement
- Be careful while stepping on the scale: step on the scale first with one foot; make sure that the scale is steady and only then step on it with both feet.
- Step on the scale and distribute your weight evenly.
- Stand still while being weighted.
- Place the scale on a solid, flat and stable surface.
- The scale switches on when you stand on it.
- Step on the platform (1) and stand still. Your weight will be shown on the display (2) as the digital indications (5) in the selected measurement units (6, 7 or 8).
- After setting the weight indications to zero the scale will be automatically switched off in 45 seconds.
ATTENTION!
If an indication «Err» appears on the display (2), it means that the scale is
overloaded. Step off the scale immediately to avoid its damage.
Notes:
- If the scale works improperly, try switching the power off; to do this, open the battery compartment lid (4) and take out the batteries. After some time install the batteries back to their place.
- Refer to authorized service centers for maintenance.
IMPORTANT
Electromagnetic compatibility
The electronic scale can be sensitive to the electromagnetic emission of other
units located in close proximity (such as mobile phones, portable radio
transmitters, radio controllers, and microwave ovens). If signs of such
emission appear (false or inconsistent data indication on the display),
relocate the scale or switch the source of interference for some time.
CLEANING AND CARE
- Clean the scale with a soft, slightly damp cloth and then wipe it dry.
- Never use abrasives or solvents.
- Do not immerse the scale in water or any other liquids.
- Keep the unit in a dry cool place out of reach of children and disabled persons.

RECYCLING
For environment protection do not throw out the unit and the batteries (if
included), do not discard the unit and the batteries with usual household
waste after the service life expiration; apply to specialized centers for
further recycling.
The waste generated during the disposal of the unit is subject to mandatory
collection and consequent disposal in the prescribed manner.
For further information about recycling this product apply to a local
municipal administration, a disposal service or to the shop where you
purchased this product.
The manufacturer reserves the right to change design, structure, and
specifications not affecting general principles of the unit operation without
a preliminary notification due to which insignificant differences between the
manual and product may be observed. If the user reveals such differences,
please report them via e-mail at info@vitek.ru for
receipt of an updated manual.
Unit operating life is 3 years

Details regarding guarantee conditions can be obtained from the dealer from whom the appliance was purchased. The bill of sale or receipt must be produced when making any claim under the terms of this guarantee.
This product conforms to the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU and to the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
The production date of the item is indicated in the serial number on the technical data plate. A serial number is an eleven-unit number, with the first four figures indicating the production date. For example, serial number 0606xxxxxxxx means that the item was manufactured in June (the sixth month) of 2006.
