Product Usage Instructions

PRINCIPLES OF SAFE USE
Read these guidelines carefully. Not following them may be dangerous or illegal.
WARNING! The internal surfaces of the unit can become very hot! Please be careful when using it!
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The device can be used by children over 8 years of age and people with limited
mental or physical predispositions, only if under supervision or if they are
familiar with the user manual and understand the danger posed by using the
device. This device is not a toy. Disconnect the unit from the power supply
before starting cleaning and maintenance. If the power cord is damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufacturer, a service canter representative or
qualified personnel. Do not use the device in case of visible signs of damage.
DO NOT RISK
The device is designed for use in kitchens, houses, flats, shops, offices,
hotels, motels, and the like. Not suitable for outdoor use (terraces,
balconies, etc.). Do not use this device in locations where it is prohibited
to use electrical equipment, or where it may cause harmful interference or
other hazards. Always connect the device to a power supply that matches the
data on the rating plate.
Do not switch on or use the device close to flammable materials. Do not place
any, especially flammable objects on the device – this may result in damage to
the device or even fire. Do not lift or carry the device while it is switched
on. The device must not be used in combination with a time-controlled switch
or remote control.
SURROUNDINGS
The device is designed for indoor use and should be placed on flat surfaces –
stone worktops, tables, etc. The device should be moved away from walls,
vertical furniture surfaces and any materials that are not resistant to high
temperatures – elements become quite hot. Do not use or store the device in
dusty, damp, or hot conditions. Keep children under 8 years of age and pets
away from the unit when it is in operation, as the internal surfaces of the
unit become very hot during operation there is a risk of burns. The power cord
may cause tripping, tipping over or other injuries. Do not leave working
device unattended.
WATER AND OTHER LIQUIDS
Protect the device from water and other liquids. It can influence work and the
life span of electronic components. Avoid using the device in environments
with high humidity like steamy kitchens etc. – drops of water may cause
moisture to appear in the device, which may result in damage to the device and
in extreme cases of electric shock. Do not use the device when your hands are
wet or damp.
QUALIFIED SERVICE
Only qualified personnel or an authorized service canter may install or repair
this product. Repairing by an unauthorized or unqualified service may cause
device damage and warranty loss. The manufacturer is not responsible for
problems caused by unauthorized modifications to the equipment made by the
user.

CONSTRUCTION
USE
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
WARNING:
- Make sure your hands are dry before operating the unit. The device has to be disconnected from the power supply.
- Be careful not to let water get inside the device! This is an electrical appliance and water may cause a short circuit that may damage the appliance or cause electric shock.
Wash the heating panels with a slightly dampened soft cloth. Wipe them off with a dry soft cloth or paper towel.
START-UP OF THE DEVICE
- Make sure your hands are dry before operating the unit. The device has to be disconnected from the power supply.
- Do not use excessive force to close the latch. If it does not want to close, adjust the cover more closely.
- Ensure that the cable is routed so that there is no possibility of damage, cutting, pushing, or pulling that could cause damage to the equipment or injury to you or anyone else.
- The device may only be connected to a power outlet equipped with a protective pin.
- If you notice that the housing, cable, or power plug is damaged, do not turn on the device.
- Do not grill products other than sandwiches, e.g. meat, vegetables, fish, etc., as you may damage the heating plates, and the effect of grilling may not be as expected.
- While toasting bread take care not to approach the sides of the appliance as hot water steam may vapour from the sandwiches.
- Be careful with the case, its surface is getting hot and we recommend that you open and close the device by grasping the top and bottom handles.
- Do not use metal or glass tools during operation as you may damage the non-stick coating on the heating panels.
If there are any leftovers from the previous sandwiches on the heating panels, you can remove it using a wooden, plastic, or silicone spatula (intended to be used with Teflon) or a paper towel, paying special attention to the fact that the heating panels are very hot!
- Grease the heating panels with fat (rapeseed oil, sunflower oil, clarified butter) using a paper towel or kitchen brush.
- Close the cover and close the latch.
- Plug the device into a power outlet. The red power light should light up.
- Prepare the sandwiches you wish to toast.
- When the device reaches the temperature optimal for operation, the green standby lamp lights up.
- Open the latch and raise the top of the sandwich maker until the opening limiter engages. The upper part should not fall down.
- Place the prepared sandwiches on the heating panels.
- Gently lower the upper part of the device by holding the handle and securing it with the latch. If needed press the upper part of the sandwich maker to close it.
- Check the state of the sandwiches by gently lifting the top part of the sandwich after opening the latch.
- Once you have reached the right baking level, gently remove the sandwiches using a wooden, plastic, or silicone spatula (intended to be used with Teflon).
- If you’re preparing more sandwiches, close the lid so that it heats up to the optimal temperature, as indicated by the red standby light.
- When the sandwiches have finished toasting, close the dispenser and unplug the dispenser from the wall outlet.
- Clean the sandwich maker when it cools down.
ADDITIONAL TIPS
If the sandwich filling is moist or contains a lot of moisture (in tomatoes,
mushrooms) the bread may soften – then use thicker slices of bread with a more
compact structure (wholemeal, graham, etc.).
When roasting sweet-filled sandwiches, gently sprinkle powdered sugar or other
fine sugar on the surface of the sandwiches to make the crust more crispy.
The use of flavored butter can increase the tastiness of the sandwiches.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING! The device must not be submerged in water or washed under running water!
- Make sure your hands are dry before cleaning the unit. The device has to be disconnected from the power supply.
- Heating panels must not be disassembled.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, benzine, or solvents to clean the unit.
Heating panels should be cleaned after each use. This will help you avoid the build-up of food residues. Once the heating panels have cooled down, they can be cleaned using a wooden, plastic or silicone Teflon spatula, paper towel or soft cloth. For soiling more difficult to remove, a slightly dampened paper towel or soft cloth can be used. The surfaces of the device can be cleaned with a paper towel or soft cloth.
TROUBLESHOOTING
In case of any problems with the device, please refer to the following tips.
The device does not function
when the plug is plugged into the mains.
| Check that the plug or power cord is not damaged. Check if the connection between the plug and the power supply is correct.
Check whether the electrical outlet is damaged – select another one.

Sandwiches do not toast evenly.| Check if the sandwiches are of similar
thickness and that the filling in them is not too wet or unevenly distributed.
If the problem persists, contact the manufacturer’s service department.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
STORAGE OF EQUIPMENT
If you are not going to use the device for a long time, after disconnecting
it from the power supply, cooling, and cleaning its components, store it in a
dry room away from heat and moisture sources. It is best to place the device
in its original packaging, away from children and pets.
TRANSPORT OF THE DEVICE
It is recommended to transport the device in its original packaging. Do not
expose the unit to excessive vibration or shock during transportation. If it
is necessary to move the device during use, do so only after it has been
switched off, cooled down and the lid is closed, holding the handles. Do not
expose the device to high temperatures or moisture.
WARRANTY AND SERVICE
The product is under warranty for 3 years from the date of sale of the product. If you need to make use of a warranty claim, please contact the manufacturer’s helpline or point of sale. The product returned for warranty claim should be complete and best in its original packaging.
