CAUTION:

Use the included connection cable exclusively. Altering or replacing it will void your warranty.
The camera is water- and dustproof and has been licensed according to the international standard IP68. However, vehicle cleaning using high pressure water and steam jet devices may still lead to damage of IP68 rated camera models by water intrusion.
Keep a distance of at least one meter between the water nozzle and the camera housing.

INSTALLATION

  1. Unscrew and remove both Philips head screws.
    Retain the screws for later remounting of the brake light reflector.

  2. Pull the brake light reflector unit out of its mounting slot. Disconnect the white power supply system connector plug of the vehicle.
    INSTALLATION

  3. Screw in and tighten the stainless steel mounting bolts by hand (5Nm). Use a dab of Loctite, if possible.

  4. Route the main cable from the naviceiver in the vehicle cockpit / dashboard to the brake light opening in the upper rear section of the vehicle. For power and RCA video signal, the ZENEC Infotainer offers a direct system “connector block E” which offers switched 300mA power out’s (see installation guide of ZENEC head unit).

  5. Connect the 6PIN connector plug of the cam sensor side with its counterpart of the cable coming from the vehicle. Use self-adhesive tape to physically secure the connectors as well as to prevent water from entering the connectors.

  6. Plug in the white power supply system connector plug in the socket of the brake light reflector housing backside.

  7. Align the cam housing / reflector assembly over the mounting location. Fix the assembly with the original Philips head screws.

  8. (no picture)
    Connect the wires and connectors of the cam main harness to the HU in the dashboard. Perform a cam function test. Also check for proper function of the 3rd brake light.

  9. Cam2 pointing down is a vertically swiveling design, allowing to align the desired image section shown on the HU manually. Align cam2 for best field of view. Installation and cam setup is completed.
