Product Information
- The VT-1139 Kettle is a liquid heating appliance designed specifically for boiling drinking water.

Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the kettle is placed on a flat and stable surface.
- Connect the kettle to a reliable grounding contact.
- Plug the kettle into a mains power socket.
- Only fill the kettle with drinking water. Do not use it for any other liquids or flammable substances.
- Position the kettle away from the edge of the table or any other surface where it may be easily knocked over.
- Avoid placing the kettle near sensitive objects such as electronics, books, or items that can be damaged by moisture or hot steam.
- Make sure the kettle is placed on the base evenly and securely.
- Ensure that the power cord does not come into contact with hot surfaces or sharp edges of furniture. You can adjust the length of the power cord by winding it around the base.
- Clean the scale filter regularly to prevent mineral buildup.
- Do not immerse the kettle or base in water or any other liquids.
- Allow the kettle to cool down for some time after use. Be cautious and avoid touching the hot surfaces of the kettle.
- When cleaning or filling the kettle with water, make sure to disconnect it from the base and main power.
- During operation, steam condensation may cause water droplets to form on the exterior of the kettle. This is normal and not a defect.
- When disconnecting the base from the mains, always pull the power plug instead of pulling the power cord.
- Avoid pouring boiling water or any other liquids directly onto the power cord.

ATTENTION! For additional protection it is reasonable to install a residual current device (RCD) with a nominal operation current not exceeding 30 mA, to install an RCD, contact a specialist.
SAFETY MEASURES
- Before using the unit, read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
- Use the unit for intended purposes only, as specified in this manual.
- Mishandling the unit can lead to its breakage and cause harm to the user or damage to his/her property.
- Use the unit for its intended purpose only and in strict accordance with the instruction manual.
- Make sure that your home mains voltage corresponds to the voltage specified on the unit body.
- The power cord is equipped with a «europlug»; plug it into the socket with a reliable grounding contact.
- To avoid the risk of fire, do not use adapters for connecting the kettle to the mains.
- Do not use the kettle in bathrooms. Do not use it near swimming pools or other containers filled with water.
- Do not use the kettle near heat sources or open flame.
- Do not use the unit in places where aerosols are sprayed or highly flammable liquids are used.
- Do not use the kettle outdoors.
- Do not leave the operating kettle unattended.
- Place the kettle on a flat stable surface; do not place the kettle on the edge of the table.
- Do not direct the kettle spout at wooden furniture, electrical appliances, books, and objects that can be damaged by moisture, or hot steam.
- Before switching the kettle on, make sure that it is placed on the base evenly.
- Use only the base supplied with the unit.
- Do not let the power cord hang from the edge of the table and make sure it does not touch hot surfaces or sharp edges of furniture. You can adjust the power cord length by winding it around the base.
- Do not touch the power cord and the power plug with wet hands.
- Do not switch the kettle on if it is empty.
- Do not fill the kettle with water when it is standing on the base.
- Do not use the kettle if the lid is not closed tightly or without the antiscale filter.
- Take the kettle off the base before opening the lid.
- Use the kettle only for boiling drinking water, do not heat or boil any other liquids.
- Ensure that the water level in the kettle is not below the minimal mark «MIN» and not above the maximal mark «MAX». If the water level exceeds the maximal mark, boiling water can splash out of the kettle during boiling.
- To avoid burns by hot steam, do not bend over the kettle spout while it is operating.
- Do not open the kettle lid while the water boiling.
- Do not touch the hot surfaces of the kettle, take it only by the handle.
- Be careful while carrying the kettle filled with boiling water.
- The kettle flask and the surface of the heating element remain hot for some time after using the kettle. Be careful and do not touch the hot surfaces of the kettle.
- Do not remove the operating kettle from the base. If you need to take the kettle off, switch it off first, setting the on/off button to the position «0» and then remove it from the base.
- Be careful, avoid liquid getting on the electric connectors of the kettle and the base during cleaning or filling the kettle with water and pouring water out!
- A small amount of water can appear on the kettle base after boiling water due to steam condensation during the unit operation. This is normal and is not a flaw of the kettle.
- Be careful when you pour water out of the kettle, do not tilt the kettle sharply and at more than 45°, in case of careless use water may splash and cause harm to the user or their property.
- Unplug the kettle base before cleaning and when you are not using the kettle. Never pull the power cord when disconnecting the base from the mains; take the power plug and carefully remove it from the mains socket.
- To avoid electric shock, do not immerse the unit and the base in water or any other liquids.
- Do not wash the kettle and the base in a dishwashing machine.
- This unit is not intended for use by children.
- Place the unit out of reach of children during the operation and cooling down.
- Do not allow children to touch the unit body and the power cord during the unit operation.
- The unit is not intended to be used by people with physical, sensory, or mental disabilities (including children) or by persons lacking experience or knowledge if they are not under the supervision of a person who is responsible for their safety or if they are not instructed by this person on the usage of the unit.
- Do not leave children unattended to avoid them using the unit as a toy.
- For children safety reasons do not leave polyethylene bags, used as packaging, unattended.
ATTENTION! Do not allow children to play with polyethylene bags or packaging film. The danger of suffocation!
- Check the integrity of the power cord, the power plug, and the kettle body periodically.
- If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer, a maintenance service, or similar qualified personnel to avoid danger.
- Do not attempt to repair the unit. Do not disassemble the unit by yourself, if any malfunction is detected or after it was dropped, unplug the unit and apply to any authorized service center from the contact address list given in the warranty certificate and on the website www.vitek.ru.
- Transport the unit in the original package only.
- Keep the unit out of reach of children and disabled persons.
THIS UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. ITS COMMERCIAL USAGE AND USAGE IN PRODUCTION AREAS AND WORK SPACES IS PROHIBITED.
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
- After unit transportation or storage at low temperature keep it for at least three hours at room temperature before switching on.
- There may be water spots in the kettle, this is normal, as the unit has undergone factory quality control.
- Unpack the kettle and remove any advertising stickers that can prevent the unit’s operation.
- Check the unit for damages; do not use it in case of damage.
- Make sure that the unit operating voltage corresponds to the voltage of your mains.
- Make sure that the unit is switched off (the ON/OFF button (4) is in the «0» position).
- Insert the power plug into the main socket.
- To fill the kettle with water, take it off the base (9) and open the lid (3).
- Fill the kettle with water up to the maximal mark «MAX», and determine the water level using the water level mark (6) «MAX» on the inner surface of the flask (1).
- Close the lid (3), place the kettle on the base (9). Make sure that the kettle lid (3) is closed tightly.
- Set the on/off button (4) to position «I» to switch the kettle on; the light indicator (8) will light up.
- Once the water starts boiling, the kettle will be switched off automatically and the indicator (8) will go out.
- Pour the water out and repeat the water boiling procedure 2-3 times.
Notes:
- Before using the kettle, make sure that the on/off button (4) is not blocked by any foreign objects, and the lid (3) is closed tightly, otherwise, auto switch off of the kettle is not possible.
- Before removing the kettle from the base, make sure that the kettle is switched off (the on/off button (4) is in the position «0»).
- ATTENTION! To avoid burns by hot steam, do not bend over the kettle spout (2) while it is operating.
USAGE
- First make sure that the ON/OFF button (4) is in the position «0», which means the unit is off.
- Insert the power cord plug (11) into a main socket.
- To fill the kettle with water, take it off the base (9) and open the lid (3).
- Fill the kettle with water up to the maximal mark «MAX», and determine the water level using the water level mark (6) «MAX» on the inner surface of the flask (1).
- Close the lid (3), place the kettle on the base (9). Make sure that the kettle lid (3) is closed tightly.
- Set the on/off button (4) to position «I» to switch the kettle on; the light indicator (8) will light up.
- Once the water starts boiling, the kettle will be switched off automatically and the indicator (8) will go out.
- When removing the kettle from the base (9), make sure that it is switched off (the button (4) is in the «0» position).
- After switching the kettle off, wait for 10-20 seconds, then you can switch it on again for re-boiling.
- If you accidentally switch the kettle on, but the water level appears to be below the minimal mark (7) (MIN), the automatic thermal switch will be on and the kettle will be switched off automatically. In this case, take the kettle from the base (9), let it cool down for 10-15 minutes, then fill it with water and switch it on, the kettle will operate in normal mode.
Note: There is a place (10) for winding the power cord (11) on the reverse side of the stand (9). Choose the optimal length of the power cord by laying it accordingly.
CLEANING AND CARE
- Before cleaning disconnect the unit from the mains, pour out water, and let the kettle cool down.
- Wipe the outer surface of the kettle with a damp cloth or a sponge.
- Use soft detergents to remove dirt; do not use metal brushes and abrasive detergents.
- Do not immerse the kettle and the base into water or other liquids.
- Do not wash the kettle and the base in a dishwashing machine.
Descaling
- The scale that forms inside the kettle affects the taste of the water and disrupts the heat exchange between the water and the heating element.
- Failure of the heating element of the kettle due to scale inside the flask or on the heating element of the kettle will not be considered a warranty case.
- To remove the scale, fill the kettle with water by about 75% and then boil the water up. Fill the remaining quarter of the flask with vinegar solution (6-9%) and leave the liquid in the kettle overnight (for approximately 8 hours). In the morning pour the vinegar mixture out of the kettle and rinse the flask several times. To remove the remaining vinegar and its smell, boil the kettle filled with ordinary water once or twice.
- If necessary, repeat the cleaning cycle.
- You can use special detergents for electric kettles to remove scale.
- Clean the kettle from the scale regularly.
- Attention! The warranty does not cover breakdown or malfunctioning of the unit caused by an uncleaned scale.
STORAGE
- Before taking the unit away for long storage, unplug it, pour out water, and let the unit cool down.
- Clean the kettle.
- Fix the power cord in the cord storage (10) on the base (9).
- Keep the unit out of reach of children and disabled persons.

The bill of sale or receipt must be produced when making any claim under the terms of this guarantee. This product conforms to the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU and to the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The production date of the item is indicated in the serial number on the technical data plate. A serial number is an eleven-unit number, with the first four figures indicating the production date. For example, serial number 0606ххххххх means that the item was manufactured in June (the sixth month) 2006.
