RAB WFD4 CCT Adjustable Deep Recessed Wafer Field LED Trim
Product Information
The product is a CCT-Adjustable Deep Recessed Wafer available in four models: WFD4, WFD4B, WFD6, and WFD6B. It is designed for installation in ceilings and requires an input rating of the luminaire. The product comes with optional accessories including a fixture, driver box, template, mounting plate with nailer bar, and wafer extension cables of different lengths. The product operates at a voltage range of 120-277V.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure power is turned off at the fuse box before installation to prevent electrical shock.
- Read all product labels and directions for safety warnings.
- Use the template inside the box to cut a hole in the ceiling according to the specified diameter for the model (4-5/16″ for F models and 6″ for 6 models).
- Open the driver box and remove the necessary knockout(s) as shown in Fig. 2.
- Insert the electrical supply cable through the knockout and secure it with a terminal, wiring the driver box as follows: white – white, black – black, green – green/ground (Fig. 3).
- Lift both retention tabs upward and push until the trim sits flush against the ceiling (Fig. 6).
- Place all wiring and connections back into the box, close the cover, and select the desired color temperature (CCT) using the CCT switch (Fig. 4).

FUTURE REFERENCE. RAB fixture must be wired in accordance with the National
Electrical Code and all applicable local codes. Proper grounding is required
for safety. THIS PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE
INSTALLATION CODE BY A PERSON FAMILIAR WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF
THE PRODUCT AND THE HAZARDS INVOLVED. TO PREVENT ELECTRICAL SHOCK, POWER
SHOULD BE TURNED OFF AT THE FUSE BOX BEFORE INSTALLATION.

- WARNING – Risk of fire or electric shock. Install this kit only in the luminaires that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the photographs and/or drawings and where the input rating of the retrofit kit does not exceed the input rating of the luminaire.
- Installation should be performed only by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and relevant local codes. Do not make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during kit installation.
- WARNING – To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to the edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.
- INSTALLATION SHOULD ONLY BE PERFORMED AFTER THE POWER TO THE FIXTURE HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED.
- These instructions shall be included on an information sheet packaged with each unit.
- This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
- Turn power OFF from the electrical panel before installation.
- Use the template inside the box to cut a hole in the ceiling. (Fig. 1)
- See below size of the cutout template: 4″ models: 4-5/16″ diameter 6″ models: 6″ diameter
- Open the driver box and remove the needed knockout(s). (Fig. 2)
- Insert the electrical supply cable through the knockout and secure with a terminal. Wire driver box (Fig. 3) , white – white, black – black, green – green/ground.
- Place all wiring and connections back into the box, close the cover and select desired color temperature (CCT). (Fig. 4)
- Place the driver box into the ceiling and connect the fixture to the driver box. (Fig. 5)
- Lift both retention tabs upward, and push until the trim sits flush against the ceiling. (Fig. 6)
