Product Overview

The BH168A is a Bluetooth headset with a 3.5mm audio interface. It comes with a BH168A-Dongle, a Type-C USB charging cable, a 1.2m audio cable, and a user manual.

Basic Operation

The BH168A headset has various button functions for different operations:

  • Power On: Long press the MFB (Multi Function Button) for 3 seconds in the ‘OFF’ status.
  • Power Off: Long press the MFB for 5 seconds in the ‘ON’ status.
  • Enter Pairing Mode: Long press the MFB for 5-8 seconds in the ‘OFF’ status, or double press the MFB to pair under unconnected/reconnecting status.
  • Play/Pause: Short press the MFB when playing music.
  • Redial a Call: Long press the MFB for 2 seconds when the headset is powered on to automatically reconnect.
  • Voice Dialing: Double press the MFB.
  • Answer a Call: Short press the MFB.
  • Hang up a Call: Short press the MFB.
  • Reject a Call: Long press the MFB for 2 seconds.
  • Volume Up: Short press the Volume+ button.
  • Next Song: Long press the Volume+ button for 2 seconds.
  • Volume Down: Short press the Volume- button.
  • Previous Song: Long press the Volume- button for 2 seconds.

powered on, it will automatically reconnect to the last paired device if there is pairing record.)
Power Off| In ‘ON’ status, Long press for 5 seconds to power off
Enter into Pairing Mode| Long press 5-8 seconds to enter pairing mode in ‘OFF’ status, or double press the MFB to pair under unconnected / reconnecting status
Play/Pause| Short press when play music

Bluetooth Pairing and Connection

To pair and connect the BH168A headset via Bluetooth, follow these steps:

  1. In ‘OFF’ status, long press the MFB for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode with Blue & Red indicator lights flashing alternately.
  2. Search and click to connect ‘BH168A’ on your phone’s Bluetooth list. The blue indicator will flash after successfully connected. You can now play music from the headset.
  3. Use the MFB, Volume+, and Volume- buttons on the Bluetooth headset to control calls and music playback.
  4. Press MFB/ volume+/ volume- on the Bluetooth headset to control the answer/hang up a call and play/ pause of the music, next/ previous song, volume up/ down.

Dongle Connection

To connect the BH168A-Dongle, follow these steps:

  1. In ‘OFF’ status, long press the MFB for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode with Blue & Red indicator lights flashing alternately.
  2. For the first time, plug in the dongle and power it on. The red/blue light will cross-flash during pairing, and the blue light will stay on after successful pairing. If pairing fails, continue pairing (red and blue lights flash alternately).
  3. For subsequent uses, plug in the dongle and power it on. The transmitter will automatically connect to the headset within 20 seconds (blue light flashes three times within 20 seconds, red light flashes 10 times). If the headset fails to connect, the red/blue lights will cross-flash.

Charging

Please charge the BH168A at once when the Red LED flashes. Charging time takes about 2 hours. There will be solid and continuous LED Blue when full charged.

Notes

  1. Please charge the BH168A at least one time every 3 months when not in use.
  2. Charging when the item powered on, the headset will be automatically reset and powered off.

A. How to reconnect and operate when failed to reconnect?
A: After BH168A connected with your mobile phone successfully, it will search and reconnect the paired device automatically when powered on. If failed, please pair and connect again.

B. How to Delete paired records?
A: In ‘Power-ON’ status, long press the volume + and the volume- button for 5 seconds to clear the pairing record. The indicator Blue and Red flash once at the same time, which means the pairing record has been cleared and the headset will not reconnect to the connected device at this time. When there are various connection problem, try clearing the pairing record.

C. What’s the password for pairing?
A: Some connection devices require password for pairing, pls try 0000

D. What devices could charge for the headphone?
A: Any car charger, power bank, or PC that meets DC 5V or charging current ≧500mA could be used for this item.

E. Three-way calling function operation.

  1. When new call coming during a call
  2. Short press the MFB to answer the new call and hang up the current call;
  3. Double press the MFB to answer the new call and keep the current call;
  4. Long press the MFB for 2 seconds to reject a new call.
  5. When you are on a three-party call, double press the MFB to switch audio between the current call and the standby call.

F. How to mute the microphone?
A: Short press the Microphone Mute button.

G. How to reset the headphone?
A: Long Press both of the volume + and the volume – buttons for 5 seconds, and the red/blue lights flashing alternately.
