Product Information

The Ninebot KickScooter is an electric scooter designed for personal transportation. The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes to the product and release firmware updates at any time. The product manual can be updated through the Segway-Ninebot app or by visiting www.segway.com. The scooter has a dashboard with a power button, speedometer, battery level indicator, and mode indicator. It also has a front headlight, rear tail light, and brake light. The scooter has three speed modes: ECO, D (Standard), and S (Sport), with maximum speeds ranging from 15 km/h (9.3 mph) to 25 km/h (15.5 mph). The maximum weight capacity is 120 kg (265 lbs), and the maximum slope it can traverse is approximately 22%.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Download and install the Segway-Ninebot app.
  2. Activate your KickScooter through the app and obtain the latest updates and safety instructions.
  3. Ensure that the battery is charged before usage. The battery level indicator displays the total battery level in five bars, and the first bar turns red when the battery power is low.
  4. To turn on the scooter, press the power button on the dashboard.
  5. The headlight and tail light are always on and cannot be turned off.
  6. Select the desired speed mode by pressing the mode button on the dashboard. ECO mode has a maximum speed of 15 km/h (9.3 mph), D (Standard) mode has a maximum speed of 20 km/h (12.4 mph), and S (Sport) mode has a maximum speed of 25 km/h (15.5 mph).
  7. Use the brake lever on the handlebar to slow down or stop the scooter.
  8. Use the direction indicator switch on the handlebar to signal your intended direction.
  9. Use the horn button on the handlebar to alert others of your presence.
  10. Ensure that the footboard buckle is securely fastened before usage.
  11. When not in use, fold the scooter using the quick-release lever and store it in a safe location.

Dashboard & Power Button

  • Power Button: Press the button to power on; press and hold the button for 3 seconds to power off. When the KickScooter is on, press the button to turn on/off the headlight and the tail light; and press twice to switch between the speed modes.

  • Speedometer: It displays the current speed of the scooter, as well as error codes.

  • Direction Indicator: When turning left or right, press the “º” (left) or “¹” (right) switch on the direction indicator switch. Then the direction indicator will flash regularly which can be turned off by pressing the corresponding switch again.

  • Walk Mode: Max. speed is 5 km/h (3.1 mph).
    The headlight and tail light are always on and can’t be turned off.
    How to enable in the Segway-Ninebot app: Settings > Walk Mode.

  • Speed Mode: There are three modes available. The top speed is as follows:

  • Bluetooth: It indicates that the scooter has been successfully connected to the mobile device.

To ensure safe riding, day to day care and regular maintenance are essential. You, the owner, have control and knowledge of how often you use your scooter, how hard you use it and where you use it. Screws on the stem top

Screws on the folding mechanism

Fold and unfold, the upper vertical screw, the recommended torque is 15 ± 1N · m Fold the connecting rod, and fasten the connecting rod screws when rocking on the bike. The folding is smooth without shaking.

Brake adjustment

| If the brake is too tight/loose, use the 4 mm Allen key to loosen the screw on the caliper. Then slightly adjust the brake line (decrease/increase the exposed length), and tighten the screw again.

Test standard: the riding speed is 20 km/h (12.4 mph), and the braking distance is within 6m

Battery assembly

| The battery need to be replaced when it is charged and discharged for 500 times or the total mileage is more than 10,000 km (6,213 miles).

Note: It is recommended to charge once every 60 days for long-term storage.
