USE
7.1 Charging
The device must be charged prior to the first use or after a long period of
not using it (3 months or longer).
CAUTION! Prior to handling the charging base and charging the battery in the
device, make sure your hands, the device, and the charging base are completely
dry.
Gently unwind the charging base power cord and put the base on a stable, level
surface, so that the cord can reach the charging socket.
Connect the charging base USB cord plug to a charging socket, e.g., in a
computer, or to a mains adapter, such as one typically included with a phone /
smartphone / tablet and equipped with a USB socket providing the recommended
charging parameters: 5 V **1 A.
Put the device on the charging base. It will take about 12 hours to fully
charge the device.
The optimal ambient conditions for charging are 0-40°C.
When the ambient humidity or temperature is too low or too high, the battery
may not be charged correctly.
The device heats up during charging and operation, it is normal.
The LED charging indicator flashes slowly and rhythmically during charging.
Once the battery is completely charged, the LED indicator will illuminate with
steady light.
When the battery is about to be discharged, the LED indicator will flash
rapidly to remind about the need to charge.
To keep the battery sufficiently charged, you may put the toothbrush on the
charging base whenever the brush is not being used. This will not result in
overcharging.
7.2 Brush head installation / replacement
CAUTION! It is only allowed to assemble and disassemble the set components
when the device is turned off.
Perform all the actions gently in order not to damage the set components.
Prior to and after using the device, check each component for damage. Damaged
parts must not be used as it may result in bodily injuries to the user.
To assemble the brush head, put its opening on the metal shaft protruding from
the toothbrush body, so that the bristles point to the same direction as the
on/off switch and LEDs on the brush body. Firmly press both parts against each
other.
To remove the tip, pull it up gently until it disconnects from the toothbrush
body.
It is recommended to change the brush head every 2 months to prevent excessive
growth of bacteria.
If the bristles or tip are worn, they may damage the teeth or injure the gums.
7.3 Turning the device on/off / cleaning modes – brushing programs**
To turn the device on, press the on/off/program toggle switch.
The brush will start working in the Clean mode – the top LED indicator will
light up.
When the button is pressed consecutively and quickly (at intervals up to 3 s),
each press will toggle the next brush operation mode in the following
sequence:
- Clean – standard cleaning mode – the top LED indicator is lit.
- Polish – mode used for teeth brightening and polishing – the lower right LED indicator is lit.
- Massage – mode used for gum massaging after a standard brushing session (intended for healthy gums) – the lower left LED indicator is lit.
- Whitening – the whitening mode removes discoloration, brightens, and polishes the teeth – the top and lower right LEDs are lit.
- Sensitive – a very gentle mode for sensitive teeth and gums – both lower LEDs (right and left) are lit.
- Long Clean – a 3-minute program for longer brushing – the top and lower left LEDs are lit.
Press the button for the last time to turn
off the brush – all the LEDs turn off.
If you wait for longer than 3 seconds after selecting a brushing mode,
pressing again will turn off the brush. If you turn on the brush again within
a short interval, it will start in the previously selected mode.
To change the operation mode at this time, press the on/ off/toggle switch
quickly over and over, until you select the desired program.
The brush has a built-in timer. After each 30-second period, it will inform
with a small pause that the time has elapsed.
A standard cleaning session is designed for 4 such intervals, 2 minutes of
brushing in total.
7.4 Brushing the teeth
For more optimal use of the sonic toothbrush, it is recommended to follow the
guidelines below.
Put a portion of your favourite toothpaste on the tip bristles.
In case of sonic toothbrushes, the toothpaste portion may be smaller compared
to standard brushes. Point the brush bristles at an angle of 45 degrees, so
that the bristles can clean the side surfaces of the teeth and gums.
Run the brush tip slowly, pressing it very gently against the surface of the
teeth and the line where the teeth connect with the gums.
The standard brushing cycle lasts 4 x 30 s. It is recommended to divide the
surfaces of the teeth to brush each of them for 30 s – the top (front and
back) and the bottom (front and back).
Then clean the contact surfaces of the upper and lower jaw teeth. The brush
will remind you to change the surface every 30 seconds by pausing for a
moment.
For the first dozen or so times you use the brush, the gums may bleed slightly
(this happens rarely), or you may feel discomfort (this is common in
individuals who have not used mechanical toothbrushes before). It usually
happens when the gums are not used to the new brushing technique and the high
vibration speed.
If this occurs, it is recommended to use the “Sensitive” program.
If after 2 weeks of using the brush as recommended the gums keep bleeding,
discontinue using the device and consult a specialist doctor – a dentist.
The set includes a travel case for the toothbrush and up to 2 tips.
To place the toothbrush in the case, remove the dry brush tip and place it in
the case compartment. Place the dry brush body in the case so that the parts
match the moulded shapes inside.
Close the case.
