HOFFEN FB-2096 Fitness Blender Instruction Manual
INTENDED PURPOSE
Blender is intended for making cocktails and smoothies.
The blender includes practical bottles which you can use to quickly and easily take the prepared drink anywhere you want — just take the bottle off the base and replace the blade cap with the lid.
Following the instructions in this manual will ensure safe installation and use of the device.
The device is intended for household use only. It should not be used for professional purposes.
Use the blender for food and liquid foodstuffs only: smoothies, shakes, cocktails, grinding, blending, mixing, shredding, purée making, stirring, storing.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Children must not use the device. Keep the device and its power cord out of the reach of children.
- The device may be used by individuals with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or by individuals lacking the necessary experience and knowledge, provided that they are supervised or use the device safely, in compliance with the instruction manual, and understand the hazards involved.
- Children must not play with the device.
- Always disconnect the device from the power source when you are not using it. Also, disconnect the device prior to assembly, disassembly or cleaning.
- Disconnect the device from the power source before changing accessories or approaching moving parts.
- If the power cord becomes damaged, have it replaced by the manufacturer, service representative or an appropriately qualified person to avoid hazard.
- Caution! Do not install the bottle with the blade cap twisted on if the cap is wet.
- The device’s maximum operation time is 1 minute, depending on the hardness of the blended products. After this time, disconnect the device from the power source and wait for 1 minute until the blender drive housing cools down. After 5 cycles, leave the device to cool down completely prior to next use.
- Only use the accessories included with the product.
- Warning! Risk of injury if improperly used! Exercise extreme caution when in contact with the blades, emptying the containers, and cleaning.
- Warning! Do not use the device for blending and mixing hot liquids and hot foodstuffs. Steam, which is emitted in such abnormal operation conditions, would negatively affect thedevice. In addition, it would significantly hinder the operation safety. The temperature of liquids and foodstuffs should be close to the room temperature, approx. 150C – 250C.
- When cleaning the parts that come into contact with food, follow the section 8. Cleaning and care.
- CAUTION! Prior to taking the bottle off the blender base, make sure the blender is disconnected from the mains.
- This equipment is intended for household use and similar uses, such as:
- canteen equipment at a shop, office and other work environments
- at farms
- in hotel and motel rooms, and in similar environments
- at guesthouses.
- Please read this manual in its entirety before using the product.
- Warning! Always unplug the power cable from the power source, when the device is to be left unattended. Observe particular caution when dismantling the accessories, particularly when cleaning the device.
- When using electric appliances and devices, especially in the presence of children, basic safety precautions should be observed in order to avoid the risk of fire or electric shock.
- The device is intended for household use only. Do not use the device for any purpose other than its intended use.
- Do not immerse the power cord, its plug or the device main drive part in water or any other liquid, so as to avoid electric shock.
- Do not hang the power cord over a table or sink edge.
- Before work, set the device on an even and stable surface.
- Do not use the device in the vicinity of flammable fabrics (curtains, carpets), do not position it next to sources of high temperature: gas heaters, electric stoves.
- Before connecting the device to the mains, always check whether the bottle with the blade cap is securely and firmly connected with the device drive unit.
- Before using the device, ensure that the mains/power outlet voltage matches the voltage specified on the product’s label.
- Extend fully the power cord before using the device.
- The power cord should not hang freely or touch any hot surface.
- Do not cover the device during operation. Otherwise (if the device is covered or touches a flammable material) there is a risk of fire.
- The device must be supervised at all times when connected to the mains.
- Do not use the device if it is damaged or faulty.
- Do not operate the device if it has fallen from a great height or shows any sign of damage.
- Do not attempt to open the housing or disassemble any part of the device.
- Keep this manual and, if possible, the package.

Open the packaging and carefully take out the device. Make sure the set is complete and undamaged. Check that the plastic parts are not broken and the power cord is not damaged. If you find that any components are missing or damaged, contact the vendor and do not use the device. Keep the packaging or dispose of it in accordance with local regulations.
Attention! To keep children safe, do not leave packaging parts (plastic bags,
cardboard boxes, expanded polystyrene elements etc.) freely accessible. Danger
of suffocation!
OPERATION
Before use
- Unpack the device.
- Check whether the device power supply parameters (220–240 V~, 50/60 Hz) match the parameters of the local AC mains.
- Before the first use, clean the device and accessories in accordance with the instruction in point 8. Cleaning and care.
- Prior to assembly of the device components, make sure the device is disconnected from the mains.
Caution!
When you use the blender for the first time, it may give off unpleasant smell.
This smell will fade after a fairly long period of use
Caution! The maximum continuous operation time is 1 minute. After that time, it is recommended to wait for 1 minute before the device is used again.
Bottle installation
- If the bottle is capped with the carrying lid, which is intended for carrying prepared products, unscrew it.
- Insert the foodstuffs intended to be mixed/blended/stirred into the bottle, making sure they do not exceed the capacity marked on the bottle with 600 or 400ml. The foodstuffs should be laid loosely — do not stuff them in the bottle.
- If the prepared cocktail or smoothie requires adding some liquid — add it so that the content does not exceed the Max level.
- Slide the bottle with the blade cap screwed on into the opening on the top of the blender drive unit (part of the blender base) so that the mark on the cup with blades is at the same heigh with the open padlock.
- Then turn the bottle clockwise to lock it. Make sure the bottle is put on correctly by pulling it upwards. If it is not properly locked, you can pull it out.
Removing the bottle from the drive unit
- Stop blending by turning switch to „0” position.
- Disconnect the plug from the mains (unplug it from the outlet).
- Rotate the bottle counter-clockwise.
- Remove the bottle with the blade cap from the drive unit on the blender base.
- Place the bottle on its base.
- Now you may remove the blade cap and twist on the carrying lids.
Operation/blending
- Install the bottle in accordance with the description in point 7.2 Bottle installation.
- Before turning on the device, make sure it is standing firmly on a flat and stable base, such as a table.
- Set the speed control knob to “1”; after a while, you may turn it up to “2” or switch it to “P” (pulsing mode).
- To switch the device off, turn on to “0” mode.
- As the blender blades are operating, observe the foodstuffs in the bottle, so that you obtain the required effect of blending, mixing, etc.
- It is recommended not to exceed 1 minute of continuous operation.
- If the blender blades become jammed, immediately turn the device off, disconnect it from the mains, and remove the bottle from the drive unit on the housing. Remove the jam reason in the bottle.
Caution! The device will not turn on if the bottle is installed
incorrectly.
Caution! Use the carrying lid to carry the blended or mixed products. Do
not leave the blade caps on the bottles for this purpose.
Caution!
Do not exceed the maximum capacity of the bottles (400 ml or 600 ml). The 600
or 400 ml level means the bottle is filled to the maximum, when it is placed
on its base with the opening pointing up. Some blends can increase their
volume during mixing. For this reason, it is recommended to perform some tests
when blending new ingredients, exercising particular control/attention.
Caution!
During operation, some ingredients might stick to the bottle walls. If that is
the case, stop the device, disconnect it from the mains, remove the bottle
with the installed blade cap, and shake it, or open to additionally mix the
ingredients with another kitchen utensil.
Caution!
If the blades become jammed during operation, immediately turn it off,
disconnect the device from the mains, and remove the bottle with the blade cap
to remove the cause of the jam.
Caution!
The blades are sharp. Observe particular caution when in contact with the
blades.
Caution!
The appliance is not intended to be used for frozen food or ice.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Correct and regular cleaning will improve the safety and extend the life span of the device.
Warning! Switch off the device, unplug it and let it cool down before cleaning and maintenance to avoid electric shock and burns.
- Do not install the bottle with the blade cap twisted on if the cap is wet.
- Do not immerse the base unit in water or other liquids.
- Do not use corrosive cleaning agents.x
Clean the device in accordance with the instructions and leave it to dry completely.
Bottle cleaning
- You may clean the bottles in a dishwasher or under running water with some washing-up liquid.
- Wash the blender blade caps under running water with some washing-up liquid.
- For more stubborn dirt, pour some water into the bottle, attach the blender blade cap, and install the bottle on the drive unit base. Then, run the device several times.
- Wipe dry.
- Never immerse the blender drive unit in water or other liquids.
Blade cleaning
- Disconnect the device from the power source.
- Take off the bottle with the attached blade cap from the drive unit.
- Unscrew the blade cap and wash it under running water with somewashing-up liquid.
- Leave to dry.
Caution!
The blades are sharp. Observe caution when in contact with the blades.
Caution! Wash the blade surrounding using a dishwashing brush.
Caution!
The bottles are dishwasher-safe. Other components, such as lids and blade
caps, must be washed manually.
Cleaning the blender drive unit
- Disconnect the device from the power source.
- Take off the bottle with the attached blade cap from the drive unit.
- Clean the structure and all the external parts of the blender drive unit using a soft, damp cloth.
- Leave to dry.
Caution!
Never immerse the plug, the power cord or the device drive unit base in
water or other liquids.
SERVICE
The appliance contains no parts that could be serviced by the user. Do not attempt to repair the appliance on your own. Always have the appliance repaired by a professional.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an
authorized service centre or a qualified individual, so as to avoid hazards and injuries.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
- It is recommended that the device be stored in its original packaging.
- Always keep the device in a dry, well-ventilated place inaccessible to children.
- Always carry the device holding it by the base, never by the power cord.
- Protect the device against vibration and shock during transport.
DISPOSAL
Keep the packaging materials out of children’s reach, as the materials can pose a hazard.
The packaging should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
Correct disposal of the device:
- According to the WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU, the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol is used to label all electric and electronic devices requiring segregation.
- Do not dispose of the spent product with domestic waste: hand it over to an electric and electronic device collection and recycling centre.
- Hazardous components in electronic and electrical equipment have a negative impact on the environment and human health.
- Plastics contained in the device can be recycled in accordance with the specific marking. By recycling materials and spent equipment you will help to protect the environment.
- Information on electric and electronic devices collection centres is available from local government agencies or from the vendor.
CE DECLARATION
The device has been designed, manufactured and marketed in compliance with the New
Approach Directives. Therefore, the product bears the “CE” mark and has a declaration of conformity, which is available to market supervision agencies for inspection.
WARRANTY
In order to claim a product, you must deliver the product to the Customer Service Center at any Biedronka store.

General Terms and Conditions of the Warranty

The Warrantor for this product warrants that within 24 months from the product purchase date, confirmed with a duly completed warranty card, the product shall be, at the discretion of the Warrantor, subject to:
a) repairing the product free of charge, subject to the condition that any dismantled, damaged or faulty parts, in order to ensure the Customer’s safety, shall become the Warrantor’s property,
b) replacing the product with a new one at the point of purchase, subject to the condition that the damaged or faulty product shall become the Warrantor’s property,
c) returning the price of the product to the User, subject to the condition that the damaged or faulty product shall become the Warrantor’s property. -
A defective/damaged product is a product failing to provide the features described in the user’s manual due to intrinsic properties of the device.

The Beneficiary under the warranty shall deliver the appliance to the Customer Service Point at a given store in order to submit a complaint about the equipment. When asserting your rights under warranty, you need to present the proof of purchase (purchase receipt, invoice) together with a description of the defect in as much detail as possible, in particular of the external manifestations of the defect.

A warranty card without the vendor’s stamp and signature or sale date is invalid.

The warranty excludes products with physical damage other than that caused by the manufacturer or distributor, including specifically any damage resulting from incorrect usage or force majeure.

The warranty excludes products without the tamper-proof seal, unless an authorized Service employee has removed the seal.

The repair centre shall make every effort to complete the repair within 21 days. The said time limit may be extended to 1 month in the event that spare parts currently unavailable at the Service must be purchased.

It is recommended that the complete product be submitted together with the complaint so as to facilitate service operations.

This warranty for the sold consumer product does not exclude, restrict or suspend any rights of the Buyer related to laws and regulations concerning warranty for defects in sold items pursuant to the provisions of the Civil Code of 23 April 1964 (Journal of Laws Dz.U.2014.121). 10. The warranty shall be applicable within the territory of the Republic of Poland.
