Manual application with M20 screw (inclusded in the tool sel) or with 17T hydraulic cylinder – stroke 43mm – ref. OM 8037 (cylinder not included in the tool set – long screw is require).
WHEEL BEARING REMOVAL
Identify all the required pieces and assemble the tools as follows:

  • Measure the inner and outer diameter of the bearing
  • Identify the appropriate bearing pressure ring.
  • Diam. of pressure ring A = bearing outer diameter
  • Diam. of centring bearing B = bearing inner diameter
  • Select the appropriate support (C) according to the bearing’s outer diameter (diameter of support D> wheel bearing diameter).
  • During removal, the bearing must slide inside the support (D).
  • Select the appropriate centring device for supports ( F).
  • Assemble the screw (E) the nut with the bearing (I) and the nut ( H) (fig. 2).
  • Begin to remove as shown in fig. 3. You can monitor the progress of operations through the slot on the supports. Figure 4 shows the completion of the removal procedure.

WHEEL BEARING ASSEMBLY
Identify all the required pieces and assemble the tools as follows:

  • Measure the inner and outer diameter of the bearing
  • Identify the appropriate bearing pressure ring A centring ring ( B).
  • Diam. of pressure ring A = bearing outer diameter
  • Diam. of centring bearing B = bearing inner diameter
  • Select the appropriate support (C) according to the bearing’s outer diameter (diameter of support D> wheel bearing diameter).
  • Select the centring device for supports (F).
  • Assemble the screw (E) the nut with the bearing (I) and the nut (H) (fig. 2).
  • Insert the new bearing as shown in figure 6.

Always check that the bearing is in the correct position during insertion: it is essential that the bearing be centered when inserted WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY
Identify all the required pieces and assemble the tools as follows:

  • Identify the appropriate pressure ring A.
    WARNING: the diameter of the selected pressure ring must be greater than the bearing’s seat.

  • Mount the selected pressure ring A on the adapter (C)

  • Select the appropriate support (C) and its device (F)

  • Assemble the tools as shown in Figure 7 and fit the hub into the bearing.

Always check that the hub is in the correct position during insertion: it is essential that the hub be centered when inserted. CLAS disclaims any liability arising from misuse of its tools.
