Product Usage Instructions

1. To add the firmware version and options, use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool, sold separately.
2. If the vehicle is not equipped with a functional hood pin, set Function A11 to OFF.
3. To program the remote starter option, follow the wiring connections as described in the Wiring Connection Guide on Page 3 / 7.
4. Ensure that the Hood Pin Switch (included) is installed if the vehicle can be remote started with the hood open.
5. This module must be installed by a qualified technician. A wrong connection can cause permanent damage to the vehicle.
6. Test the wire before connecting it to the steering column.
7. Connect the transponder connector, OBDII, CAN LOW, CAN HIGH, RX, and TX as instructed in the wiring connections guide.
8. Connect the ignition harness, parking lights, accessory, and other necessary connections as described in the wiring connections guide.
9. Cut the loop for automatic transmission mode if applicable.
10. Perform key sense voltage test and tumbler voltage test as described in the product manual.

REGULAR INSTALLATION

ADDENDUM – SUGGESTED WIRING CONFIGURATION

MANDATORY INSTALL | INSTALLATION OBLIGATOIRE

HOOD STATUS : THE HOOD PIN SWITCH (INCLUDED) A11 MUST BE INSTALLED IF THE VEHICLE CAN BE REMOTE STARTED WITH THE HOOD OPEN, SET FUNCTION A11 TO OFF.

Notice: the installation of safety  elements are mandatory. The hood pin and the sticker are essential security elements and must be installed.

THIS MODULE MUST BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN. A WRONG CONNECTION CAN CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.

KEY BYPASS PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE 1/2

Remove the valet key from the back of the OEM remote.
Remove the battery from the OEM remote.
Keep the other OEM remotes at least 3 meters (10 feet) away from the vehicle to proceed.

1. Press and hold the programming button:
   Connect the 6-PIN Main harness (White connector).
   The Blue, Red, Yellow and
   Blue & Red LEDs will alternatively illuminate.

2. Release the programming button when the LED is YELLOW.
   If the LED is not solid YELLOW disconnect the 6-Pin connector (Main-Harness) and go back to step 1.

3. Insert the required remaining connectors.

4. Press and release the programming button two (2x) times.
   The YELLOW LED will flash 2 times each second.
   WAIT for the YELLOW LED to turn ON solide.

5. Insert the key in to the Ignition barrel
   The RED LED will turns ON.
   If the YELLOW and RED LED’s are not solid, remove the key and go back to step

6. Repeat this step until the RED and YELLOW LED’s are solid.
   Turn the key to the Ignition ON/RUN position.
   Wait for the BLUE LED to flash rapidly.

7. Turn the key to the OFF position.

8. Turn the key to the Ignition ON/RUN position. 4The BLUE, YELLOW and RED LED’s will rapidly alternate.
   The YELLOW LED begins to flash rapidly: Key bypass programmed.

9. Turn the key to the OFF position.

The module is now programmed.
Use the remote of the remote starter or security system to test all of the supported features to ensure proper programming.

REMOTE STARTER PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE

VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH OEM ALARM
Some vehicles must be UNLOCKED to disarm the OEM alarm before remote start. Enable option D2 using the FlashLink Manager. When this option is enabled the module will automatically UNLOCK before remote start and LOCK after the vehicle has remote started.

REMOTE STARTER FUNCTIONALITY

• All doors must be closed.
• Remote start the vehicle.
• Unlock the doors with either:
  • The OEM remote
  • The remote-starter remote
  • Or the proximity remote
• Enter the vehicle with the Intelligent Access Key.
• The vehicle can now be put in to gear and driven.

If the doors are not unlocked with one of these conditions the module will lock the vehicle’s turn-knob as soon as any door is opened.
