VITEK VT-8276 MC Men Shaver Instruction Manual

A production date of the item is indicated in the serial number on the technical data plate. A serial number is an eleven-unit number, with the first four figures indicating the production date. For example, serial number 0606ххххххх means that the item was manufactured in June (the sixth month) 2006.

SAFETY MEASURES

Before using the unit, read these instructions carefully. Keep these instructions for future reference.
Use the unit for the intended purposes only as specified in this manual. Mishandling of the unit may lead to its breakage and cause harm to the user or damage to his/her property.

While connecting the power supply unit to the mains, make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage specified on the power supply unit body.
Do not leave the operating unit unattended.
Switch the shaver off during pauses in operation or when you are not using it.
Do not use the unit if the power supply unit or the USB cord is damaged.
Do not repair the unit by yourself; in case of need apply to the authorized service center.
Do not charge the unit in places with high humidity and temperature. Charge the accumulator at the temperature from 0° C to +35° C and relative humidity no more than 80%.
To charge the electric shaver use only the USB cord supplied with the unit.
Do not place the USB-cord near hot surfaces or open flame.

Attention! Do not immerse the unit and the USB cord into water or any other liquids.

Outer shaving nets are very thin, while mishandling they can be damaged easily. To avoid injury do not use the shaver with damaged outer shaver nets or inner cutting blocks.
Do not allow children to use the unit as a toy. Keep the unit away from children.
For children safety reasons do not leave polyethylene bags used as a packaging unattended.

Attention! Do not allow children to play with polyethylene bags or packaging film. Danger of suffocation!

This unit is not intended for usage by children.
During operation and breaks between operation cycles, the unit should be placed out of reach of children.
The unit is not intended to be used by people with physical, sensory or mental disabilities (including children) or by persons lacking experience or knowledge if they are not under supervision of a person who is responsible fortheir safety orif they are not instructed by this person on the usage of the unit.
Do not leave children unattended to avoid them using the unit as a toy.
If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer, service or similar qualified personnel to avoid danger.
Do not attempt to repair the unit. Do not disassemble the unit by yourself, if any malfunction is detected or after it has fallen, unplug the unit and contact any authorized service center at the contact addresses given in the warrantycertificate and on the website www.vitek.ru.
Transport the unit in the original packaging only.
Keep the unit out of reach of children and people with disabilities.

USING THE MEN SHAVER

After the shaver transportation or storage at low temperature it is necessary to keep it for at least 3 hours at room temperature before switching on.

Battery charging

Full charging of the accumulator is enough for approximately 120 minutes of continuous operation

Insert the mini-connector of the USB cord (11) into the jack (10) on the shaver body and the USB plug into the power supply unit (pic. 1).
Connect the power supply unit to the mains socket, the charging indicator will light up on the display (8) **(pic. 2).

Full charging of the accumulator takes about 120 minutes. When the charging shows 100%, the shaver is charged.
After 120 minutes unplug the power supply unit, detach the USB cord (11) from the power supply unit and remove it from the jack (10) on the shaver body.
You can also charge the accumulator connecting the unit to the USB-port of your PC with the cord (11). Insert the mini-connector of the USB-cord (11) into the jack (10) on the shaver body and the USB-plug into the corresponding port of your PC.

Notes

Only recharge the battery once it’s been completely depleted.
Charge the battery at the temperature from 0° C to +35° C
Do not charge the accumulator for more than 10 hours, as this can lead to early malfunction of the accumulator.

Shaving

You can have better shaving results if your skin is dry.
Your skin may need 2-3 weeks to get used to this shaving system

Remove the protective cap (1) (pic. 4).
Switch the shaver on by pressing the switch (6) (pic. 5).
Adjust the speed by pressing the speed control buttons (+/-) (7) for the most efficient cutting or shaving, depending on the hair thickness.
The selected speed will be shown on the display (8).
Touching the skin slightly, move the shaver back and forth and rotationally.
After you finish shaving, switch the unit off by pressing the switch (6) (pic. 8).

Using the trimmer

Move the trimmer (9) to upper position (pic.6).
Switch the shaver on with the switch (6).
Place the trimmer (9) under the right angle to your skin and move it gradually downwards to trim the sideburns.
Switch the shaver off and move the trimmer (8) to lower position **(pic.7).

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Clean the shaver regularly to maintain its proper operation.
Press the button (4) and remove the outer shaving block (2) (pic.9).
Clean the shaving block (2) from inside and outside and inner cutting block (3) using the brush (12) (pic. 10).
Install the outer shaving block (2) to its place, close it with the protective cap (1) and put the shaver into the pouch **(pic. 11, 12, 13).

STORAGE

Clean the shaver before taking it away for storage.
Wipe the shaver body with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then wipe it dry, do not use metal brushes, abrasives and solvents to clean the unit.
Do not immerse the shaver into water or any other liquids.
Install the protection cap (1) on the shaving block (2), put the shaver and the USB cord (11) to the storage place.
Keep the shaver away from children in a dry cool place.

The waste generated during the disposal of the unit is subject to mandatory collection and consequent disposal in the prescribed manner.

For further information about recycling of this product apply to a local municipal administration, a disposal service or to the shop where you purchased this product.

The manufacturer preserves the right to change design, structure and specifications not affecting general principles of the unit operation without a preliminary notification due to which insignificant differences between the manual and product may be observed. If the user reveals such differences, please report them via e-mail info@vitek.ru for receipt of an updated manual.
