Product Description The VT-23560 Humidifier is designed to improve room

humidity and air quality. It is equipped with a water tank, control panel, process chamber, and mist release intensity indicators.
Intended Use| The unit is intended for household use only. Commercial usage and usage in production areas and workspaces are prohibited.
Safety Measures| Before using the electrical unit, read the instruction manual carefully and keep it for future reference. Use the unit as specified in the manual to avoid breakage, harm to the user, or damage to property.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before the first use, keep the unit at the desired operation time (2 hours, 4 hours, or 8 hours) for at least three hours.
  2. To switch off the timer, press the button until all the operating time indicators go out.
  3. To activate sleep mode, press the button. The sleep mode indicator will light up.
  4. To clean the sprayer and float, use a detergent following the instructions provided.
  5. If there is no mist, check if the power plug is properly inserted into the mains socket.
  6. If the unit is off, switch it on by pressing the button.
  7. If the water tank is empty or there isn’t enough water, fill the water tank with enough water.
  8. If a foreign smell appears during operation, disconnect the unit from the mains. Remove the water tank, lid, and pour out the water. Leave the water tank in a dry cool place for 12 hours. Cleanthe tank and fill it with clean water as described in the cleaning and care chapter.

Insufficient room humidity negatively affects humans’ and pets’ health as well as plants and furniture. The recommended comfortable room humidity level is from 40% to 60%. The air humidi-fier allows improving the air quality in the room.

SAFETY MEASURES

Before using the electrical unit, read this instruc-tion manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
Use the unit for its intended purpose only, as spec-ified in this manual. Mishandling of the unit may lead to its breakage and cause harm to the user or damage to his/her property.

  • Before switching the unit on, make sure that voltage of the mains corresponds to unit oper-ating voltage.

  • Place the unit on a flat, moisture-resistant surface. The distance to the walls, other fur-niture and interior objects should be at least 30 cm.

  • Do not place the unit on carpet surfaces with high pile.

  • Do not place the air humidifier in places exposed to direct sunlight, high temperatures, near computers or other sensitive electronic appliances.

  • Do not use the unit outdoors.

  • Use the supplied removable parts only.

  • Do not operate the unit without water; switch the unit off when the water tank is empty.

  • Do not use soda or dirty water or any perfume additives.

  • Water temperature should not exceed +40°С.

  • Do not switch the unit on if the water tank is not installed.

  • Unplug the unit before removing the water tank.

  • Do not cover the unit.

  • Do not cover the openings on the unit body and avoid getting of foreign objects inside them.

  • Do not immerse the unit body, the power plug or the power cord into water or any other liq-uids.

  • Do not move or tilt the unit during the operation and do not remove the water tank.

  • Always unplug the unit and pour out water from the water tank and the process chamber before cleaning or if you do not use the air humidifier.

  • Before moving the unit to another place, unplug the unit and drain the water from the process chamber. When carrying the unit, hold it by the body with both hands.

  • Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.

  • Clean the unit regularly.

  • Do not allow children to touch the unit body and the power cord during operation.

  • This unit is not intended for usage by children.

  • The unit is not intended to be used by peo-ple with physical, sensory or mental disabili-ties (including children) or by persons lacking experience or knowledge if they are not under supervision of a person who is responsible for their safety or if they are not instructed by this person on the usage of the unit.

  • Do not leave children unattended to avoid them using the unit as a toy.

  • For children safety reasons do not leave poly-ethylene bags, used as packaging, unattended.
    Attention! Do not allow children to play with poly-ethylene bags or packaging film. Danger of suf-focation!

  • Never pull the power cord when disconnecting the unit from the mains; take the power plug and carefully pull it out of the mains socket.

  • Never use the unit if the power cord or the power cord plug is damaged, if the unit works improperly or after it was dropped.

  • If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer, a maintenance service or similar qualified personnel to avoid danger.

  • Do not attempt to repair the unit. Do not disas-semble the unit by yourself, if any malfunction is detected or after it was dropped, unplug the unit and apply to any authorized service center from the contact address list given in the warranty certificate and on the website www.vitek.ru.

  • Transport the unit in the original package only.

  • Keep the unit out of reach of children and dis-abled persons.

THE UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. ITS COMMERCIAL USAGE AND USAGE IN PRODUCTION AREAS AND WORK SPACES IS PROHIBITED.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

After unit transportation or storage at low temperature keep it for at least three hours at room temperature before switching on. There may be water spots in the air humidifier, this is normal, as the unit has undergone factory qual- ity control.

  • Unpack the unit, remove any stickers and pack-age materials that can prevent unit operation. Check the unit for damages. In case of dam-ages do not switch the unit on.
  • Remove the water tank (2) from the unit body (6) and remove the float (8) fixing transporting gasket, if any.
  • Install the water tank (2) back to its place. Note: When installing the water tank (2) on the unit body (6), it is necessary to match the air duct (4) with the lower steam inlet of the water tank (2).
  • Before plugging the unit in make sure that your home mains voltage corresponds to the unit operating voltage.
  • The unit is intended for operation with AC sys-tem and 50 Hz frequency. The unit does not need any additional settings for operating with the required nominal frequency.

Notes:

  • Use the air humidifier at the room temperature from +10° С to +40°С, and relative humidity less than 80%.
  • Water temperature should not exceed +40°С.

AIR HUMIDIFIER OPERATION

  • Remove the lid (1) from the water tank (2).
  • Fill the tank (2) with the necessary amount of water not exceeding the maximal level mark (3) «МАКС».

Note: – it is recommended to use water that was additionally cleaned with domestic filter.

  • Install the lid (1) back to its place.
  • Wait till the process chamber (7) is filled with water.
  • Plug the power cord into a mains socket, you will hear a sound signal and all the control panel light indicators (5) will light up for a short time.
  • Turn the lid (1) relative to the water tank (2) to select the optimal direction of the «mist» release.

Notes:

  • the operation mode selection and setting but- tons are sensory, you just need to touch the button to switch the necessary operation mode on, every touch of the active button is accom-panied by a sound signal.
    Warning: – do not remove the water tank (2) from the unit body (6) when the humidifier is on, in order to avoid splashing the unit body and the surround-ing surface.

OPERATING BUTTONS AND INDICATION

«Mist» release on/off/intensity control button (15)

  • Consequently press the button (15) to switch the unit on/off and to select the desired mist release intensity level.
  • Press the button (15) to switch the unit on, the high «mist» intensity level indicator (12) will light up on the control panel (5). Press the button (15) again to switch the low “mist” release intensity, the low «mist» intensity level indicator (12 will light up. Press the but-ton (15) again to switch the unit off, all indicators will go out and the «mist» release will stop.

Timer on/off button (16)

  • Consequently press the button (16) to set the desired operation time of the humidifier: 2 hours, 4 hours, or 8 hours, the corresponding operating time indicator (13) will light up on the control panel (5). To switch the timer off press the button (16) until all the indicators go out.

Night illumination on button (17)

  • Press the button (17) to switch on the night illu-mination of the water tank (2), the illumination color will begin to change smoothly over time.
  • During the change of colors you can select and fix the desired color by pressing the button (17) once again. Smooth color change will stop.
  • Press the button (17) again to switch the night illumination off.

Sleep mode on/off button (18)

  • Press the button (18) to switch the sleep mode on, the sleep mode indicator (14) on the control panel (5) will light up, while the illumination and other indicators will go out.

When you switch the sleep mode on, all previous settings are saved

  • Press any button to switch the sleep mode off.

NOT ENOUGH WATER

  • When the water tank (2) and the process chamber (7) are empty, the unit will switch off, you will hear 3 short sound signals, and all the indicators on the control panel will start flashing. After some time the indicators will go out.
  • Remove the lid (1) from the water tank (2).
  • Fill the tank (2) with the necessary amount of water not exceeding the maximal level mark (3) «МАКС», then install the lid (1) back to its place.
  • Switch the unit on for further operation.

CLEANING AND CARE

WARNING! Always switch the air humidifier off and unplug it before maintenance works or cleaning.
Hard water causes appearance of mineral depos-its (scale) in the process chamber (8) and in the water tank (2) that leads to improper operation of the unit.
To avoid it:

  • сlean the tank every three days, this will help to prevent scale buildup in the tank and the process chamber. It also prevents the bacteria growth.
  • use filtered and settled water. If tap water is hard, it is recommended to mix tap water with distilled water in proportion 1:1. If tap water is too hard, mix it with distilled water in proportion 1:2 or use distilled water only.
  • Change water in the water tank (2) twice a week.
  • Thoroughly wash the process chamber (7) and the water tank (2) with neutral detergent solu-tion twice a week.
  • To clean the «sprayer» (9) from the mineral deposit (scale) add 5-10 drops of detergent on it and wait for approximately 10-15 minutes. Remove the scale from the «sprayer» surface with a soft brush, and then wash the process chamber (7) with neutral detergent solution.
  • Rinse the process chamber several times. Wipe the process chamber with a soft cloth.
  • Clean the air humidifier body (6) with a soft, slightly damp cloth, and then wipe it dry.
  • Clean the air inlet (4) and the air inlet grid on the unit body (6) bottom as it becomes dirty.
  • To clean the float (8), remove it. Lift the float and remove it from the holder. Clean the float (8) from mineral scale.
  • Install the float (8) back to its place, making sure there is no seizure in the axial movement (rotation) of the float (8).

Notes:

  • do not immerse the air humidifier body into water or other liquids;
  • do not use abrasives or solvents for cleaning the sprayer (9);
  • you can use a descaling agent for kettles as a detergent for the sprayer (9) and the float (8), strictly following the instruction for this substance.

STORAGE

  • Pour the water out of the tank and make sure that the process chamber and the sprayer are dry before taking the unit away for storage.
  • Do not keep water inside the tank (2) or the pro-cess chamber (7) of the unit.
  • Keep the air humidifier in a dry cool place away from children and disabled persons.

TROUBLESHOOTING

For further information about recycling of this prod-uct apply to a local municipal administration, a dis-posal service or to the shop where you purchased this product.
The manufacturer preserves the right to change design, structure and specifications not affecting general principles of the unit operation without a preliminary notification due to which insignificant differences between the manual and product may be observed. If the user reveals such differences, please report them via e-mail info@vitek.ru for receipt of an updated manual.

A production date of the item is indicated in the serial number on the technical data plate. A serial number is an eleven-unit number, with the first four figures indicating the production date. For example, serial number 0606ххххххх means that the item was manufactured in June (the sixth month) 2006.
