GEARBOX SUPPORT

CLAS-OH-0210-Gearbox-Support-fig-2

TECHNICAL DATA

Weight: 12 kg
Max. load bearing capacity: 150 kg
Length/width: 490 mm / 460 mm
Assembly: Ø 40 mm
Forwards/backwards tilt: ±35°
Left/right tilt: ±5°

COMPONENTS

  • 1 x support with arms for attachment to the gearbox, fi xing strap included.
  • 1 x adapter for hydraulic pit jack piston rod Ø 30mm

SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Warning: always make sure that the load bearing capacity of the lifting device used corresponds to the load to be lifted, that the workshop fl oor is fl at, load-bearing and stable.
  • Warning: In order to avoid uncontrolled tilting, when adjusting the tilt under load, the support must be held and fi xed by hand, until the adjustment has been completed.
  • As soon as the transmission is fi rmly secured and all settings have been completed, it must also be secured to the support using the strap supplied.
  • Warning: moving the lifting device with the gearbox secured and loaded is only permitted with the piston rod fully retracted!

APPLICATION

  1. Fully lower the lifting device piston.

  2. Determine the size of the piston rod of the lifting device used (fi g. 4+5).
Note: supplied with a plastic adaptor Ø 30 mm. if the piston diameter is Ø 25 mm, the adaptor (Art-N. 391018002) is available upon request

  3. Place the appropriate plastic adapter (25 or 30 mm) on the piston rod (fi g. 3).

  4. Insert the gearbox support on the rod of the lifting device.

  5. Position the lifting device and connect it to the transmission on the vehicle.

  6. Pump and make fi t the support just below the gearbox (Align the central support in a longitudinal direction under the gearbox).

  7. Move the rear crosspieces to the centre beam according to the length of the gearbox. Secure the front and rear arms against the gearbox.CLAS-OH-0210-Gearbox-Support-fig-4

  8. Position the two adjusters against the tilting arms of the front crosspiece and adapt them to the bell housing. Moving the two supports creates a stable grip, locking the handwheels with plastic knob (fi g.7+8).

  9. Now adapt the two tiltable transmission gripping arms of the rear crosspiece to the transmission shape and secure them gently using the handwheels (fi g.9).

  10. Loosen the tilt unit knob under the gear hitch until the tilt is aligned. This allows the gearbox attachment to automatically adapt to the inclination of the gearbox during pumping! (fi g.10)

  11. Pump the lifting device until the gearbox attachment makes contact. Warning: Raise the gearbox as little as possible! If necessary, the default settings can now be corrected again. Now all the handwheels and the tilt unit fi xing knob can fi nally be tightened.

  12. Remove the gearbox. The same procedure also applies if a new or overhauled gearbox must fi rst be removed from the vehicle and then installed on the vehicle.
