WARNING
Before using this torque wrench, please read these instructions carefully. If you have any questions, please contact the CLAS service department to avoid safety accidents and damage to the tool caused by improper use.
SELECTION GUIDE
Select the appropriate torque wrench and socket based on the torque value required by the bolt or nut to be required by the bolt or nut to be tightened.
FONCTIONNEMENT
-
Set the torque value
-
Pull the locking ring back to unlock the wrench, and turn the nut to adjust the torque at the same time.
1- Main pipe
2- Main scale
3- Secondary scale
4- Lock
5- Handle -
Turn the handle to set the appropriate torque value, then release the lock. (The fi gure below shows the method of setting to 66Nm).
3.1 – The initial state of the handle is 10 Nm.
3.2 – Pull the lock backwards to put the handle in the unlocked state. Do not release the the lock.
3.3 – To adjust the torque, simply turn the handle clockwise to increase the torque and anticlockwise to decrease the torque. First turn the handle clockwise until you reach 60 Nm. The “0” on the secondary scale must be aligned with the central mark on the main scale.
3.4 – Then turn the handle again to align the “6” on the secondary scale with the center mark on the main scale. Release the lock. The handle is now locked with a torque value of 66 Nm.
3.5 – After use, if the key is not used for a long period of time, pull the lock backwards to unlock it. backwards to unlock the key and return it to its initial state (10 Nm).
3.6 – The screw can be tightened with a fi xed torque by choosing an appropriate socket.
3.7 -During the tightening process, when the set torque is reached, the torque wrench emits a “click”. From this moment on, stop applying force immediately. This sound indicates that the torque has reached the set value. During the tightening process, the torque must be applied evenly, without applying any inertial force. When using a small torque, the “click” will not be evident. An obvious slip will indicate that the torque has also reached the set torque value. (The “click” sound of the small torque is not obvious because the spring is under a small compression).
PRECAUTIONS OF USE
- Before using the torque wrench, fi rst check that you have selected the correct torque wrench for the tightening task.
- After selecting the appropriate torque wrench, check that the torque value corresponds to that expected.
- In order to guarantee the accuracy of the torque wrench, it is necessary to recalibrate it after one year or 5000 uses.
- Please read the instructions carefully before using the torque wrench.
- If the torque wrench is not used for a long period of time, it is necessary to set torque wrench to the minimum torque value, in order to avoid long-term compression of the spring. of the spring. This could affect the accuracy of the torque wrench.
- Do not use the torque wrench to strike objects.
