SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
| • Before using the pump, it is required to wear the appropriate safety
equipment (gloves, goggles, coveralls, shoes, helmets, etc.) and to read the
instructions carefully.
---|---
| • Never put the liquid in contact with an exposed part of the body. This
could cause serious injury or burns to the skin.
| • Do not exceed the maximum and minimum operating air pressure values of the
pump (6-8 Bar)
• CAUTION: Do not exceed the capacity of the drum mentioned in the table
above.
| • Use the pump with a pressure regulator
| • When the pump is fi
nished using, disconnect the air connection and then pull the gun trigger to
release the remaining pressure in the pump.
| • It is important to work in an environmentally friendly way. Therefore, pay
attention to the recycling of used oils. It is mandatory to comply with local
guidelines for the recycling of waste oils.
| • This product is designed for lubrication work only. Never use it for any
other type of work.
| • Always use original spare parts.
| • Do not weld above the drum.
• Be particularly careful when using the pump on a non-fl at surface.
USE
-
Before connecting the air coupling to the nipple, check your air compressor.
The pressure must be between 6 and 8 Bar maximum. -
Then connect the air coupling to the air inlet end cap as shown in the adjacent image.
-
The pump will then start until the hose is completely fi lled with oil.
-
The pump is then ready for use and you only have to pull the trigger to start working.
-
It is recommended to use a pressure regulator.
It allows the incoming air to be controlled and above all to fi lter the water that could be contained in the air. -
If you do not use a pressure regulator, lubricate the pump daily with oil (grade 10) through the air inlet nozzle.
-
Water that could be inserted with air could cause damage to the pump components.
-
When the pump is not in use, remove the air connection.
-
Push the trigger of the gun and remove the air from the pump.
-
If there is any air left in the pump, it could be damaged and its service life shortened.
-
The device must be operated by qualifi ed and fully equipped personnel.
-
Possession of a compressor is mandatory. It must provide a fl ow rate between 6 and 8 bar and be compatible for continuous operation.
-
The oil level in the drum must be constantly checked by the operator. Never use the pump if there is no more oil in the drum.
-
Make sure that no dirt accumulation due to the lubrication process remains in the pump.
-
Pay attention to changes in oil viscosity (e. g. barrel temperature change, etc.)
CAUTION!
- CLAS cannot be held responsible for the failure of attempts to implement the instructions described above.
- Any damage resulting from non-compliance with the above instructions will not be covered by the warranty.
MAINTENANCE
- Clean the pump daily.
- Check the hose and connections daily.
- If the connection is incorrect, check the assembly before tightening it again.
- Do not use the pump with fuel, solvents or any other aggressive liquid when cleaning. (This would cancel the effect of the guarantee)
- If no pressure regulator is installed, lubricate the pump with oil (grade 10) through the air inlet nozzle.
- Use only original spare parts.
- Only a qualified person may operate the pump.
- In case of doubt about the operation of the pump, the operator may refer to the instructions or contact the CLAS after-sales service.
- Any damage or dysfunction resulting from failure to comply with the instructions in this manual cannot be covered by the warranty.
- When the pump is no longer in working order, it must be disposed of.
PROBLEM RESOLUTIONS
1 – The pump is running but no oil comes out of the pipe.| There is a foreign
boc., in the piston.| First, remove the lower part of the gun. Then clean the
piston or replace the 0ring.
---|---|---
2 – The pump does not work.| There is a fault in a part of the pump either at
the piston or in the plastic clips.| Open the air inlet plug. If the piston
appears to be in the center, it must be moved up and then down. If the
plastic clips are broken, replace them with new ones.
3 – The pump is running, oil comes out of the hose, but when I release the
trigger, the pump does not stop.| There is a fault on the valve.| Replace the
defective valve with a new one
4 – The pump is running but the oil outlet flow rate is not sufficient.|
There’s a foreign body in the gun.| Remove the nozzle from the hose and clean
the gun with air.
- If the problem persists, contact CLAS after-sales service and do not attempt any other procedure.
- If a part has been modified without the after-sales service being informed, the pump will no longer be guaranteed.
