BEGA 24750 Compact Downlight with Minimal Diffuse Light Percentage

Product Information

The product is a luminaire with wide beam light distribution. It has different module designations, colour temperatures, colour rendering indices, module luminous flux, luminaire luminous flux, and luminaire luminous efficiency. The luminaire has overvoltage protection and is designed to meet national safety regulations. It is important to avoid contact with the inner surface of the luminaire reflector to protect its special stray light-minimising properties.

Product Usage Instructions

Safety: The installation and operation of the luminaire should be done by a qualified electrician in compliance with national safety regulations. The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by improper use or installation. Any modifications to the luminaire should be carried out by the person responsible for those modifications.
Overvoltage Protection: The luminaire has built-in overvoltage protection in accordance with DIN EN 61547. For additional protection against transients, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components available on the manufacturer’s website at www.bega.com.
Installation: Pass the power connecting cable through the cable entry in the mounting plate. Secure the mounting plate using the provided fixing material or suitable alternatives. Ensure that the gasket rings supplied are used. Make the earth conductor connection and the electrical connection. If digital control is desired, use the connecting terminal DA. If not used, the luminaire will operate at full light output.
Desiccant Pouch: To maximize the service life of the electrical components, place the enclosed desiccant pouch in the luminaire. Remove the desiccant pouch from its foil packaging and place it in the designated position marked by the red information label just before closing the luminaire.

Safety

The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations. Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Please note:
Contact with the inner surface of the luminaire reflector should be avoided in order to permanently protect the special stray lightminimising properties of the nano-coating.

Installation

Pass the power connecting cable through the cable entry in the mounting plate.
Fix the mounting plate with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
Be sure to use the gasket rings supplied.
Make the earth conductor connection and the electrical connection.
For digital control please use the connecting terminal DA, DA.
In case this terminal is not used the luminaire will be operated at full light output.
In order to guarantee the maximum service life of the electrical components, the enclosed desiccant pouch must be placed in the luminaire.
Remove the desiccant pouch from the foil packaging and place it in the position marked by the red information label immediately before finally closing the luminaire.
Make earth conductor connection between luminaire housing and mounting plate.
Push plug into coupler as far as it will go.
Make sure that gasket is positioned correctly.
Insert the luminaire housing into the mounting plate and turn it as far as it will go.

Cleaning · Maintenance

Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt and deposits. Do not use high pressure cleaners.

Replacing the LED module

The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted.
The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
Disconnect the system.
LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during relamping.
Remove luminaire housing from mounting plate by turning it counter-clockwise.
Disconnect the plug-in devices.
Undo retaining screw (wrench size 2.5mm) in the luminaire housing. Remove the trim ring along with the glass and reflector from the luminaire housing by turning it counterclockwise.
Replace LED module. Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
Screw the trim ring along with the glass and reflector into the luminaire housing by turning it clockwise. Tighten retaining screw in the luminaire housing firmly.
Make earth conductor connection between luminaire housing and mounting plate.
Push plug into coupler as far as it will go.
Make sure that gasket is positioned correctly.
Insert the luminaire housing into the mounting plate and turn it as far as it will go.
