Product Information

This product is a luminaire that requires installation and operation in accordance with national safety regulations. It should only be installed and commissioned by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer does not accept liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. The luminaire is equipped with electronic components that are protected against overvoltage according to DIN EN 61547. However, for additional protection against transients and other issues, separate overvoltage protection components are recommended and can be found on the manufacturer’s website at www.bega.com.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that the luminaire is installed and commissioned by a qualified electrician in accordance with national safety regulations.
  2. For additional protection against overvoltage and other issues, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components available on the manufacturer’s website.
  3. Connect the module to the luminaire, ensuring that the module-connected wattage does not exceed 7.6 W and the luminaire-connected wattage does not exceed 9 W.
  4. The rated temperature for the luminaire is 25°C, and the maximum ambient temperature should not exceed 40°C.
  5. Refer to the module information for details on the module designation, colour temperature, colour rendering index, module luminous flux, luminaire luminous flux, and luminaire luminous efficiency.
  6. If replacement parts are needed, use the DEV-0304/350 LED power supply unit and LED-0276/930 LED module 3000 K.

Overvoltage protection

Installation

  • LED are high-quality electronic components!
  • Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
  • Undo the screws and lift off the luminaire top.
  • Loosen LED plug connection.
  • Lead the main supply cable through the cable entry of the luminaire base.
  • Note the position of application of the luminaire “arrow down”.
  • Fix the luminaire base with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
  • Be sure to use the gasket rings supplied.
  • Make an earth conductor connection.
  • Push silicone sleeves over the lines and make an electrical connection to the terminal (plug connection).
  • Make an earth conductor connection between the luminaire top and the luminaire base.
  • Push the LED plug into the coupler as far as it will go.
  • Install the luminaire top, press on and manually tighten the screws evenly.

Cleaning And Maintenance

Clean the luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt.

Replacing the LED module

  • The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
  • The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted.
  • The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
  • Disconnect the system and open the luminaire.
  • Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
  • Inspect and, if necessary, replace the luminaire gaskets.
  • The defective glass must be replaced.
  • Close the luminaire.
