BEGA 24727 LED Wall Luminaire

Product Information

The product is a wall luminaire with single-sided light output,designed for illumination and design tasks in architecture. It is made of aluminium alloy and stainless steel, with a matt safety glass reflector surface made of pure aluminium. The luminaire has a mounting plate with 2 fixing points and a plug connection. It operates on a LED power supply of 220-240 V x 0/50-60 Hz. The luminaire has a weight of 1.2 kg and is classified in safety class I with protection class IP 65. It contains light sources of energy efficiency class(es) C, D.

Product Usage Instructions

The luminaire can be installed with the light distribution opening upwards or downwards.
The installation and operation of the luminaire should comply with national safety regulations and should only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Do not make any modifications to the luminaire without proper authorization. The person responsible for any modifications will be considered the manufacturer.
Ensure that the earth conductor connection is properly made for safety.
The luminaire has a temporary thermal regulation feature to protect temperature-sensitive components without switching off the luminaire.
Before installation, make sure to read and understand the provided instructions for use.

The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations. Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Overvoltage protection
The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547.
To achieve an additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components.

Installation

LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
Undo hexagon socket head screws (wrench size 3 mm) up to the stop and disassemble the mounting plate.
Pass the power connecting cable through the cable entry in the mounting plate.
Ensure correct directionality towards the area to be illuminated.
Fix the mounting plate with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
Make earth conductor connection and electrical connection to the connecting terminal (plug connection).
Make earth conductor connection between luminaire housing and mounting plate.
Push plug into coupler as far as it will go. Place luminaire housing onto the mounting plate and fix it.
Make sure that gasket is positioned correctly.

Cleaning · Maintenance

Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt and deposits.
Do not use high pressure cleaners.

Please note:

Do not remove the desiccant bag from the luminaire housing.
It is needed to remove residual moisture.

Replacing the LED module

The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted.
The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
Disconnect the system and open the luminaire. Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
Inspect and, if necessary, replace the luminaire gaskets.
Defective glass must be replaced.
Close the luminaire.
